All-time great Evander Holyfield, who fought everyone there was to fight at both heavyweight and cruiserweight, becoming undisputed champion in both weight divisions, doesn’t like the way Floyd Mayweather Junior never once unified the titles in any of the divisions in which he won a world title.

Speaking with Kevin Iole, “The Real Deal” says that although he rates “Money” as a great fighter, he feels to be the best of the absolute best a fighter must win all the belts, beat all the other champions at the weight class.

Spence vs Peterson: Trouble for The Truth?

January 20, 2018. Less than two weeks from today IBF Welterweight Champion Errol Spence Jr. will defend his title against two division champion Lamont Peterson. One has to applaud Spence for taking on such a difficult challenge in his first title defense. Peterson is not only a recognizable name to boxing fans. He is also a handful for any boxer not named Lucas Matthysse. However, I wonder if this was an error in judgement by Team Spence.

Who wins: Amir Khan-Adrien Broner – rumours suggest the fight is in the works

Just last week, Amir Khan put out a tantalising tweet in which he wrote how he has a “big announcement” that he will make in the coming days. As soon as fight fans read the message, speculation was rife on what the former 140 pound champion’s announcement might be.

Khan is, as we know, itching to fight again, for the first time since he was stopped by Mexican superstar Canelo Alvarez in a catch-weight affair that took place in May of 2015, and a rumour has begun circulating (via Boxing Planet and Boxing Kingdom) that suggests Khan will face none other than Adrien Broner this March. Khan did say a while back how he wanted his next fight to take place before his home fans in the UK, but money, and opportunity, talks. If Khan has been offered a big fight with Broner, of course it makes plenty of sense for him to take it.

Dogboe stops Juarez in 5 to win WBO strap

Ghana’s Isaac ‘Royal Storm’ Dogboe put up a dominant show culminating in a round 5 stoppage of Mexican challenger, Cesar Juarez in their clash for the WBO interim world super bantamweight title in Accra on Saturday night.

Undefeated Dogboe improved his unblemished record to 18-0 courtesy the 12th knockout of his rapidly rising professional career whilst condemning Juarez to the 6th defeat of his now 26-fight career (20-6, 15 KOs).

Anthony Joshua: If Fury was fit, we’d probably be talking about March

While unbeaten former heavyweight champ (still lineal) Tyson Fury continues to call out reigning WBA/IBF champ Anthony Joshua for his first fight back – the return expected, Fury says, in either April or May – Joshua has replied by stating how this is mere “fantasy” on the part of Fury.

Fury, 25-0, who has hurled all manner of insults at Joshua, 20-0, has questioned whether or not AJ “has the balls” to fight him. In response, Joshua has told the Daily Mail how if it were up to him, he would fight Fury next – but that he cannot do so as, “he’s just not fit, he hasn’t had a fight.”
