It will be the three-time World Champion’s first fight in his home city since he successfully defended his IBF Super-Bantamweight crown against American Chris Avalos at the same venue back in February 2015.

The end came at the 2.35 mark of round-eight, as a battered Lewison was pulled out by his corner when under fire.

Fellow Hayemaker Ringstar debutants Michael ‘Venom’ Page and Willy Hutchinson also produced dazzling displays to record victories in front of a packed house at London’s Indigo at The O2.

Tipped by promoter David Haye as “the future of the heavyweight division”, Joyce confidently took care of Lewison in a tough assignment for the novice pro.

And Frampton will be eyeing up Warrington when his rival faces Dennis Ceylan in a IBF Featherweight title Final Eliminator at First Direct Arena, Leeds on October 21.
