Hope Alvarado wins! Really have had it to the brim with Pac and Marquez! I’m ready for the new lions to make their mark..

Juan Manuel Marquez otherwise know as Ped Man Marquez has been crying, begging and whining for attention. His last fight against Timothy Bradley showed fight fans that without the Angel Hereida special mix, he is nothing more than an average old fighter in the twilight of his career. A one time good fighter transformed himself into a muscle bound gorilla when he faced the legendary Manny Pacquiao. In three previous fights against Manny Pacquiao, Marquez had been dropped over and over, out boxed and out fought. Manny Pacquiao was the thorn in Marquez’s side. Desperation finally set in as Marquez went to such extreme measures as to drink his own urine and then to find the man that was well know for providing PEDS to the United States Olympic Track and Field team. The infamous Angel Hereida had been fooling the drug testing system for years, as he acknowledged on tape that he could mask anything. Juan Manuel Marquez knew full well all about this man yet he lied to the media when asked if he had known anything about Hereida as he told the media that he had not known about Angel Hereida. He then changed his story a few days later because the media had found out that Marquez had know Hereida for a long time. This is a classic sign of a liar. A man not to be trusted, and a man that tarnished his image and reputation for good. Juan Manuel Marquez has proven time and time again that he cannot accept defeat. His constant I was robbed after each loss has grown tiresome. He constantly blames everyone including Las Vegas for his losses. Juan Manuel “Ped Man Marquez” is a true poor sport and sore loser. His fight on Saturday was specifically selected because Mike Alvarado has been taking punishment and is breaking down piece by piece in every fight. Provodnikov finally broke his spirit and Marquez jumped at the chance to beat down Alvarado one more time. He chose a wounded duck yet ran away from Provodnikov even after he was called out by him quite a few times. Marquez found out that he could not draw very well anywhere. Marquez is a small name compared to the legendary Manny Pacquiao. Manny Pacquiao put Marquez on the map. Marquez should have bowed down and thanked Manny Pacquiao for making him relevant. Timothy Bradley showed us just how normal of a fighter Marquez is. Manny Pacquiao then beat up Bradley as he showed us his ability to be a boxer and a fighter. Now after all the talking Marquez has been doing about not ever fighting Manny Pacquiao ever again because as he says “I like this feeling”, Marquez has started to go back on his word as he always does. What’s even more upsetting is that no testing will be done for this fight against Alvarado. What does this mean? Well it means that Angel Hereida can put together any nutritional mix he wants. You see, this is a make it or break fight for Marquez and he cannot afford to lose. A 5th fight against Manny Pacquiao awaits him so I assume Marquez wanted to cover all his bases to get whatever edge he can gain to win at ALL costs. Marquez will go down in boxing history as the fighter that hired a well know PED supplier to the United States Track and Field team. All of his victories will come into question. If there is any justice in boxing, Mike Alvardo, a well respected warrior will find a way to win this fight even though the odds are against him especially with the no testing dilemma. I’m pulling for him to put Ped Man Marquez away for good. The reincarnation of the Los Angeles forum will be a beautiful thing to see. The reincarnation of Ped Man Marquez with the help of Angel Hereida will be a sad day for boxing.

And no, the Andre Ward bouts weren’t good cards. Those were some of the worst under cards ever. This card looks pretty good. Hopefully the Forum will keep it up. I know people in LA who will host us so it’s better than Vegas.

Cool boxing is back at the Forum. I remember a lot of fights were there up to the 90s. For whatever reason it lapsed, probably because the Vegas casinos and 0% tax in Nevada. California shot itself in the foot so now we hardly get any good fights and the few there are go to LA, not in the SF Bay.

JMM is unbeaten at the Forum for those wondering about the title.

Marquez may have the edge cause he drinks his own urine. He test positive for urea due to his high urine intake plus he’s on peds….

I hope alvarado beats jmm. Dont want to see pac vs jmm part 5! But then pac will murder alvarado. Sucks either way!

John , I agree with you totally about the announcers. Also they get so hung on statistics they overlook who controlled the action in the round. To make a point, fighter A throws 4 punches in a round and lands 2 which means he landed at 50 percent. fighter B throws 100 punches and lands 10 which means he only connected at 10 percent. Fighter B deserves to win the round because he was more active and fighter A was defensive . Classic example the Mayweather/ Maidana fight and the way the announcers called it. Maidana controlled the action in more rounds than Mayweather.

Haha. SC get on it! I’m more irritated by some of the articles. It doesn’t seem so bad recently, but there were some terribly written ones.

Anyhow – Marquez by ud. He’s still around the top of the sport, but where does he realistically go? Pac is the money option. I’m not sure he has any glory ones left….

crossroads fight for both guys, that makes it a good fight with both guys having a lot to lose, more so Alverado.

Squared-Circle Real Talk (a.k.a. LionKing)

What unbeaten streak??? JMM lost to Bradley in his most recent fight and lost to PacMan just three fights before that. That’s in no way, shape or form an “unbeaten streak.”

Damn…ESB is in serious need of a skilled editor and proofreader.

both marquez and alvarado are washed up finished as contenders

Posted May 16, 2014 9:00 am

i agree the last round was clearly a marquez round….but i cannot give him more than a close loss or at best a draw in the fight…bradley was able to dodge many of his shots…

Posted May 16, 2014 8:50 am

Well I wouldn’t call the last JMM fight a loss, in fact Bradley got the same type of decision over JMM as he did over Manny- we all know what a farce those were. Marquez connecting with thudding counters -Bradley pitty-patting here and there – JMM trips over Bradley’s foot at the final bell and they call it an “almost knock-down” enough to win a fight these days. Its pathetic !!!! If you watch that fight again there are stretches where the announcers-clearly on Arumn’s payroll – do not even acknowledge JMM punches landing with such ferocity you hear them over the broadcast mikes near the announcers. There was one very embarrassing bit of sound where they say that a 6 punch combination clearly won the round for Bradley. In the replay they set it up “WATCH THIS FROM BRADLEY ROY” not ONE SINGLE PUNCH LANDED – they are silent for a minute – then Lampley says : “You see here how Bradly has JMM on the defensive ?” Throwing more punches and clearly the aggressor ????? NONE LANDED !! So if you just dance around and flick out jabs and punches into the air those are scoring blows ??? Thats where we are today and why the sport is dieing !!
