Murat Gassiev, 22-0(16KO), meets one-loss Jordan Shimmell for a 12-round IBF cruiserweight eliminator in the main event on FS1 this Tuesday night. From its inception, Fox Sports 1’s Toe-To-Toe Tuesday fight series has matched prospects and contenders in real fights, exactly what the fans want to see. It features boxers climbing the ladder in development bouts and champion-level matchups. The Premier Boxing Champions series on FS1 has proved to be consistent in the absence of ESPN’s Friday Night Fights.

Murat ‘Iron’ Gassiev’s amateur pedigree suggests inexperience, but that hasn’t stopped trainer Abel Sanchez from calling his fighter “the next Gennady Golovkin at the cruiserweight division”, A division that’s stacked & greatly overlooked, with the likes of Krzysztof Glowacki, Marco Huck, Denis Lebedev, Victor Emilio Ramirez, Grigory Drozd, and Steve Cunningham. Not only have the top boxers at this weight class faced-off against each other over the last several years, the fights have produced fireworks time and time again.

Also on the card, unbeaten heavyweight prospect, John Wesley Nofire takes on Minnesota native, Joey Abell in a 10 round co-feature bout. Other televised bout’s will include 6-0(5KO) Stephan Shaw vs. Danny Kelly in a heavyweight scrap and possibly Leduan Barthelemy vs. Rafael Eduardo Reyes around the featherweight limit.

This event headlined by a World Title Eliminator Bout is promoted by Warriors Boxing. The card airs live this Tuesday, May 17 at the Black Bear Casino in Carlton, Minnesota, and is broadcasted by TOE-TO-TOE TUESDAYS on FS1 and BOXEO DE CAMPEONES on FOX Deportes. Televised bouts began at 9est, 6pst, 8 central.
