As fight fans know, the great Miguel Cotto – arguably THE greatest Puerto Rican fighter in history – is just one fight away from retirement. Cotto will face Sadam Ali on December 2 and then, that’s it the four-weight king has said many times. Cotto’s trainer Freddie Roach feels the timing is just about perfect and, as quoted by fighthype.com, he feels his other star fighter Manny Pacquiao might want to follow Cotto’s lead and retire also.
Danny Jacobs: 100-percent I win the rematch with GGG
Former WBA middleweight ruler Danny Jacobs still believes, and he is still hoping. “The Miracle Man” fully believes he executed the perfect game-plan when he boxed world champ Gennady Golovkin back in March and that the 12 round decision that went to GGG should have gone to him – or, worst case scenario, the fight was a draw.
Jacobs, 33-2(29) in speaking with Premiere Boxing Champions, as quoted by RingTV.com, said he is absolutely certain he wins the rematch with the unbeaten Triple-G if there is one.

Four-division world champion Miguel Cotto (41-5, 33 KOs) hosted a media workout today at the Wild Card Boxing Club in Los Angeles ahead of the final fight of the future Hall of Famer’s career, which will be against Sadam “World Kid” Ali (25-1, 14 KOs) for Cotto’s WBO World Junior Middleweight Championship. The action will take place at the World’s Most Famous Arena, Madison Square Garden, and will be televised live on HBO World Championship Boxing beginning at 10:00 p.m. ET/PT.
Tyson Fury wastes no time in calling out Bellew after Haye return is called off
Tyson Fury has wasted zero time in calling out Tony Bellew. In light of how the December 17 return bout between “Bomber” Bellew and David Haye has been called off due to (yet another) injury suffered by Haye (it’s his arm, actually his bicep, this time for those fans who are keeping tab of the body parts Haye has suffered injury to during his amateur and pro career), Fury has offered his considerable services for the new date that is being worked on: May 5.
David Haye has pulled out of Tony Bellew return; Haye suffers arm injury
Just days after being assured by all concerned that David Haye is “100-percent and ready to go” into his December 17 rematch with Tony Bellew, we get another report that says Haye is indeed injured and that the fight is OFF.
As per a man with all the news – almost all of it reliable – Dan Rafael of ESPN.com reports how “a source with direct knowledge of the situation” informs how Haye has pulled out with an arm injury. The ESPN report says Haye is set to undergo surgery on his arm soon.
