Tyson Fury remains unsurprised that Wladimir Klitschko has pulled out of their October 24th heavyweight clash citing a calf strain, causing the fight to be postponed.

The giant 6′ 9″ challenger predicted as much over two months ago, saying he wouldn’t be surprised if Wladimir did what David Haye did to him twice and pull out injured.

“It was only the day before that I was face-to-face with him and I knew he was not going to fight. I knew that he would pull out,” Fury said to Sky Sports when the news of the injury broke.

The two had met on Wednesday of this week at an action filled presser in London that saw Fury arrive in a sports cars dressed as Batman before wrestling with a member of his team who had dressed as his comic book foe, The Joker, knocking Klitschko’s titles off of a display table in the process.

“I don’t know what I saw in him, but I saw the same thing in him that I did with David Haye and I knew he was not going to fight.

“Yesterday Peter, my dad and I had a conversation about him pulling out. Peter called me this morning [Friday] and told me he pulled out. It is what it is,” Fury added before expressing regrets at the money lost by fans in non-refundable travel and accommodation costs.

Klitschko himself released a short video online expressing his apologies at the unfortunate incident that reportedly happened after he returned to his training camp in Austria.

His manager Bernd Boente confirmed that a new date at the ESPRIT Arena will follow in due course, most probably next week after the extent of Klitschko’s injury has been properly assessed by doctors.
