It is official, Ghana based Nigerian hitter, Isaac ‘Grenade’ Ekpo gets another opportunity to become a world champion on March 25 when he faces WBA super middleweight titlist, Tyron Zeuge in Germany.

Scheduled for the MBS Arena in Potsdam, Brandenburg, it will be the first defence of the belt the undefeated Zeuge (19-0-1, 11 KOs) won via a unanimous decision in a rematch against Giovanni De Carolis of Italy at the same venue back on November 5 last year.

US female boxing promoter lands in Accra for 'Night of the Best' amateur show Friday

The quest by former Ghanaian professional boxer, Emmanuel Addotei Addo alias Money Mosquito to identify and develop talents in the sport begins this Friday, January 20 when his TMM Promotions stage an amateur boxing tournament in Accra with his US based partners in attendance.

One of the partners, Devonne Canady, a former US amateur heavyweight champion and head of EIR Urban Youth and Boss Lady Promotions based in New Haven, Connecticut landed in Accra on Monday morning whilst two other partners are also expected to arrive in the country in time for the fight show on Friday.

Speaking at the Kotoka International Airport on arrival in Ghana on December 29, Dogboe Snr lamented on why Commey who he rates as a boxer with all the qualities needed to become world champion failed in his bid for the IBF world title versus Robert Easter Jnr and against Denis Shafikov in Russia three months later and called for Commey to change his technical team if he wants to be champion.
