By Daniel Mole: Sam Eggington was crowned Midlands Area Welterweight Champion on Friday evening after dethroning Steven Pearce at the Venue in Dudley. The 19 year-old (now 5-1), in only his sixth professional fight, picked apart his more experienced opponent in devastating fashion. Pearce, almost ten years Eggington’s senior, deserves plenty of credit for a gutsy display.
