Top super middleweight prospects Callum Smith and Rocky Fielding will face the biggest tests of their careers tonight at Liverpool’s Echo Arena, as they look to confirm a long awaited local showdown, already scheduled for 26th September.

Noe Gonzalez says there will be no repeat of the mistake he made against George Groves when he tackles Rocky Fielding for the WBA Inter-Continental Super Middleweight title at the Echo Arena in Liverpool on July 12, live on Sky Sports.

The Argentinian-based Uruguayan travelled to London in May 2013 to face Groves on the undercard of Carl Froch’s clash with Mikkel Kessler at The O2, and walked onto a stiff short right-hand from the Hammersmith star in the fifth round that ended the fight. Continue reading

Rocky Fielding vows to dazzle in crunch clash

Rocky Fielding insists his that making weight will not be a problem ahead of his WBA Inter-Continental Super Middleweight title clash with Noe Gonzalez Alcoba at the Echo Arena in Liverpool on July 12, live on Sky Sports.

Fielding failed to make the weight for his Commonwealth title battle with Charles Adamu in March, and the 26 year old says the first thing he did after the fight was address those issues and is now flying in training as a result. Continue reading

News: Fielding the favorite to beat Dilks on Saturday; Baltimore Boxing

ROCKY FIELDING looks set to continue his unbeaten run with a win against Carl Dilks on Saturday, according to the betting on Betfair. With a Prizefighter crown and eight victories under his belt, the 25-year-old is the big odds-on favourite at 1-8 to defeat his Merseyside rival at the Olympia Arena in Liverpool this weekend.

Dilks has a lot to prove coming into the fight off the back of a loss to Germany’s Robert Woge in May. But odds of 15-2 suggest the 29-year-old’s quest to get his career back on track will come up short on the night. The draw trades at 22-1. Continue reading
