Call in number (646) 716-5404 — As the past week in entertainment and boxing alike have shown us, stars can rise just as easily as they can fall. On The Ropes Radio returns on June 29th, 2009 at 6pm Eastern time and after an action packed weekend of fights and with a Guest former World Champion Steve “2 Pound” Forbes for a Interview.. Hosts Jenna J a.k.a. Boxing Girl, “Mighty” Mark Messer, Nick Powers and special weekly guest Geoffrey “Rumsfeld” Ciani will be reviewing this past weekend’s fight schedule, beginning with the intense give-and-take battle between “Vicious” Victor Ortiz and Marcos Maidana and the controversial nature in which the fight ended, along with how Ortiz’s future in the sport stands at this point of his career.

In addition, the title defense by partial Middleweight titleholder “King” Arthur Abraham over contender Mahir Oral will be discussed, along with potential match-ups that may come from Abraham’s impressive victory. Possible meetings with Kelly Pavlik and Felix Sturm are possible, and would be one step closer to unifying the Middleweight Championship.

Finally, the Friday Night Fights broadcast of Daniel “The Golden Child” Jacobs’ latest win and the impressive nine-round victory for Juan Manuel “JuanMa” Lopez as he awaits bigger and better opportunities will be reviewed. Possible steps in the future for both men include their respective divisions’ kingpins, as their stars continue to rise. Also, the return of Paul Spadafora to the ring alongside his new trainer, Hall of Famer Pernell “Sweet Pea” Whitaker, after a brief prison stint will be touched on, and bets will be taken as to how long it will take Spadafora to call out Floyd Mayweather, Jr. for a rematch to their now infamous sparring session.

We will also preview the upcoming WBO Heavyweight title eliminator between the undefeated German Alexander Dimitrenko and current American contender “Fast” Eddie Chambers, as the latter returns to the site of his only professional defeat: Germany. Dimitrenko’s size and punching power are likely to be favored over Chambers’ self-proclaimed speedy hands, though in Boxing the term “anything is possible” seems to ring true quite frequently.

From Mainstream boxing to club fight shows, if it is boxing, we will talk about it. The numbers don’t lie; and Blog Talk rankings show that boxing fans wouldn’t want to be anywhere but “On The Ropes!”

So Tune in or call up and give us your thoughts on whats going on in the world of boxng at 646-716-5404, you can also join us in our Blogtalk message board.
