Per-Ake Persson – The undercard to Universum´s big show in Hamburg on July 4 features the European debut of Venezuelan Pablo Vazquez, who comes in at 16-0 with all wins inside the distance. Cruiser Aleksander Alekseev is in against Kendrick Releford, who in his last fight in Germany came very close to win over Enad Licina in an exellent fight. There was a big outdoor event at the City Stadium in Banja Luka (Bosnia) this weekend with 10 000 specators on hand. All went well until the main event was to go on when a bad storm broke out demolishing the ring and the lights went out and the fight between cruisers Goran Delic and Michele Di Meo had to be postponed and will now go ahead July 8 instead.

The chief support to WBA bantam champ Anselmo Moreno´s defence against Mayhar Monshipour, who´s also the promoter of the show, feature Mayhar´s friend and chief sparring for years, Daniel Kodjo Sassou in a fight for the IBF Int´l title against Armenian Arsen Martirosyan.

WBA mandatory supermiddle contender Gusmyl Perdomo face Spaniard Jose Elkin Ubarnes in a scheduled ten rounder July 11 at the Nuerburgring Formule 1 Arena on the undercard to Sturm vs Gevor. No official word on when and where Kessler vs Perdomo will go ahead – or even if it will take place. There has been some rumors of Perdomo facing Denis Inkin for an interim title.

Skarpnack BK is an amateur club on the outskirts of Stockholm, Sweden. There´s been a number of good amateur fighters mainly of foreign descent coming from there in the last few years and three of them are now pros.. Lightweight Artem Ayvazidi represented the club for a few years but is now signed to K 2 East in Ukraine and went 7-0 this past weekend with a stoppage win over Vitali Olhovik. In Komarno, Slovaka, middleweight Vame Kartveli went to 2-0 with a tko win over Joseph Sovijus and welter Karlo Tabaghua is 11-0 after a buys first season as a professional fighter. Kartveli and Tabaghua are both still based in Skarpnack with Vasili Boguslavski as trainer but fights with Polish licenses.
