Speaking to The SportsBar Life podcast, Malignaggi, a former two division world champion, explains why a fight with him and McGregor would make the most financial sense for the two division Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) title holder and that he is avoiding his biggest payday by not fighting him.

“This is a guy who is going to avoid major money by not fighting me in boxing. At the end of the day, you are never going to make Mayweather money ever again. But because the boxing ring has the Ali Act in the United States, you keep more of a percentage of your money in boxing than you will in Mixed Martial Arts in the United States.”

Manuel Charr vs Alexander Ustinov on 11/25 in Oberhausen, Germany

WBA #2 rated heavyweight contender Alexander Ustinov and #4 Manuel Charr met for a press conference in Cologne, Germany, today to announce their fight on November 25th at 10,000 seat Koenig-Pilsener-Arena in Oberhausen, Germany.

Charr will return to action after having hip replacement surgery in May. In his last fight in September 2016, the “Diamond Boy“ dominated previously unbeaten Sefer Seferi to win the WBA International Championship. Ustinov had his last fight in May 2017 in England when he annihilated Brazilian journeyman Raphael Zumbrano Love in one round.

Eubank Jr.: Groves’ experience gives him the edge against green Cox

Chris Eubank Jr. is predicting a victory for George Groves (26-3, 19 KOs) over his Ali Trophy quarter-final opponent Jamie Cox (24-0, 13 KOs) on Saturday at The SSE Arena, Wembley in London.

Eubank Jr. earned his spot in the semi-final of the World Boxing Super Series when he dominated and knocked out Turkish Avni Yildirim in round three in Stuttgart last weekend.

Toka Kahn-Clary takes on Braulio Rodriguez on October 19th

Featherweight prospect Toka “T Nice” Kahn-Clary (22-1-0-1, 15 KOs) will look to continue to move up the divisional rankings when he fights dangerous, powerful puncher Braulio “El Chavo” Rodriguez (19-2, 17 KOs) on October 19th at the Freight Depot in Atlanta, Georgia in a scheduled ten-round bout for the vacant WBC Continental Americas title. Hitz: Charr vs. Ustinov NOT fighting for WBA heavyweight belt

Bobby Hitz, the President of Hitz Boxing and co-promoter of Fres Oquendo, together with Roy Jones, Jr.’s Square Ring Promotions, came out swinging this morning after reading reports that the Manuel Charr vs. Alexander Ustinov bout that is being announced for November 25, 2017 in Germany will be for the WBA Heavyweight Title. “We have received the personal assurance from Gilberto Mendoza, President of the WBA, that Charr vs. Ustinov will not be for the WBA championship, but rather will be an elimination bout for the right to fight Fres for the title,” Hitz said.
