Eddie Hearn says 'Arrogant' Frampton Camp Are Preventing Scott Quigg Fight

With a Scott Quigg/Nonito Donaire fight looking increasingly like it won’t happen – after comments made by the latter’s wife recently – a degree of hope and expectation has once again turned to the sought-after domestic world title clash at super bantamweight between Quigg and Northern Ireland’s IBF boss, Carl Frampton.

Speaking to mirror.co.uk however, the WBA (reg) champion’s promoter, Eddie Hearn, has expressed his distaste at what he calls ‘arrogance’ from the Northern Irishman’s camp, complaining the fight is once again moving further away after his revised financial offer to the ‘Jackal’s’ team was turned down.

George Groves & Trainer Paddy Fitzpatrick Part Company After Badou Jack Defeat

George Groves’ trainer Paddy Fitzpatrick has conceded the two are unlikely to work together again in the wake of the Londoner’s loss to WBC 168 lb champion Badou Jack, that happened on the undercard of Floyd Mayweather’s career swansong against Andre Berto in Las Vegas, nine days ago.

Groves stormed out of the ring following the defeat to the Swedish “Money Team” member and has since deleted all social media accounts, prompting many to believe that retirement is a very realistic possibility given it was his 3rd crack at a world title [and a 3rd loss].

Inside Team Fury: Peter Fury talks Klitschko vs. Fury

By Peter Fury: You can’t play down the importance of family.

Your family’s your family. There’s no changing it. It’s a bond like no other. If any one of your family had their little finger chopped off, it would impact you in some way. You’d feel it.

So, to have everybody comfortable and happy is a great thing for a fighter, especially one in Tyson’s position. He’s a wealthy man right now. He’s surrounded by family. Family is your blood – you care what happens to each and every one of them.

We’re a very close family, us lot. We care about each other. Yeah, we shout and we argue and we have our differences, but really, when the chips are down, you die for your family.

Tony Bellew Promising 'Big, Big Fight' in December / Possible IBF Title Shot?

British cruiserweight contender Tony Bellew (25-2-1, 16ko) has not has a good 2015 – at least in the ring – boxing twice thus far against journeyman opposition and, to put it politely, not looking great in the process.

Frank Buglioni: Full of Confidence Ahead of Fedor Chudinov Title Tilt

This coming Saturday in London, British super-middleweight contender Frank Buglioni (17-1-1, 13ko), enters far and away the biggest fight of his professional career when he tackles Russian WBA (reg) champion Fedor Chudinov (13-0, 10ko), in front of what is sure to be a roaring partisan crowd at the SSE Arena.

Despite entering as a significant betting underdog for the fight, ‘The Wise Guy’ has warned that he is not to be underestimated or written off, and that the oft-referenced porous defence that saw him stopped by Belarusian trial horse, Sergey Khomitsky inside 6 rounds in April of last year, won’t be a problem on the night.

The World Awaits – Main Event Review: Stephen Smith TKO6 Devis Boschiero

YouTube video

Stephen Smith produced a career best performance on his most important night to demolish the previously unstopped Italian Devis Boschiero, 37-4-1 (19KO’s), in 6 rounds, after dropping him 5 times en-route to victory in this IBF super featherweight world title final eliminator.

From the moment referee Marcus McDonnell brought the fighters together Smith looked in a different class to a fighter who has only previous tasted defeated at the very highest level. Smith looked confident and purposeful, exerting his authority as early as the 1st, sinking powerful hooks into the body of the Italian that seen him gasping for air.

The World Awaits – Undercard Review

YouTube video

Sean Dodd W10 Gary Buckland – Sean Dodd set fire to the script Renald Garrido ripped up earlier on in the night to box beautifully to secure a 10 round points victory over former British super featherweight champion Gary Buckland, 30-7 (10KO’s), and with it a potential shot at current British lightweight champion Scott Cardle.

Cardle was ringside to watch his late replacement Dodd, 10-1 (2KO’s), withstand the customary Buckland onslaught to coolly box above the levels his previous experience would suggest to deservedly have his hand held victorious 97-95 on the referees scorecard.
