Nelson, the former 3-time world champion and Hall of Famer has personally selected the boxers for the black-tie event being staged by Hemann Promotions in association with Azumah Nelson Boxing and sanctioned by the Ghana Boxing Authority.

Victor Kpadenou has a tough job on his hands when he steps into the ring next week against American, Morgan ‘Big Chief’ Fitch in a Light heavyweight contest at the Meadow Racetrack and Casino in Washington, USA.

Kpadenou (10-10, 5 KOs), the former IBU super welterweight champion of the world is still looking for his first victory in the United States having lost his two opening fights in the ‘Mecca of boxing’ since arriving late last year.

Ghana-based Ekpo (25-2, 18 KOs) who fought for the WBO Super Middleweight world title in a decision loss to Robert Stieglitz in Germany in October 2013, has targeted another crack at the world championship but first he wants to beat some top boxers in his weight division and he is talking tough.

“I am ready for the top Super Middleweights in the UK like Steven Smith, brother of Callum who is fighting for the WBO Super Middleweight title on February 28 in Germany, that’s the perfect fight I am looking for,” Ekpo told Boxing247.com exclusively in Accra.
