Loads of Talent and potential however the guy is a bad egg, no respect for anyone or anything. I hope he turns his attitude around however I think that is very doubtful that he will, I would be happy to be proved wrong though.

Mr. Hooper,
Just asking for attention has limited results. Here is your 3 step plan for getting people to follow you:
1. Fight
2. Win
3. Repeat
Bonus points awarded for looking impressive. Good luck.

terror tim

People can’t complain about the scoring in the amateurs than complain a certain fighter didn’t make it to a certain point. Olympic boxing isn’t the pros and it has been almost 20 years since you could really judge a fighter coming from there.

Self praise is no praise at all. He has to earn it!!!

spacetackle – it could be said that hooper had the most pro friendly style – personally i’ve seen the guy in the gym and he’s not the full picnic. anyway he can fight, there is no doubt there but his style was a little loose for the amatuers. he’d take risk and on the bigger stages (comm games and olympics) he was beaten by guys that took a very disciplined, basic approach. remember miguel cotto was hyped out of sydney with out medalling

CHAMPION boxer Damien Hooper has been charged with seriously assaulting a police officer after a weekend incident outside a nightclub in Dalby.

The 20-year-old, who lives in Toowoomba, was an Olympian last year but did not make it through to the quarter-finals.

His Olympic campaign was marred by a run-in with authorities when he showed up to a match wearing a T-shirt with an Aboriginal flag on it. He later apologised for breaching protocol.

Police were called just after 2am yesterday to the Mirage nightclub in Dalby. Hopper allegedly dropped his pants and exposed himself to officers and spat in a male officer’s face as police struggled to load him into a car and take him away.

Mick the Marmalizer

Good luck, but remember there’s a big World out there. So take your 1st few fights in Oz & NZ & then come to the UK. Hopefully your be Aussie champ within a year & Commonwealth king by 2015. 7-8 fights a year should do.
