Posted March 8, 2014 5:43 pm

will they have enough stamina to go 2 rounds.

Posted March 8, 2014 2:22 pm

By the way, Vladimir Klitschko knocked Thompson out two times!!!!!!!

Posted March 8, 2014 2:48 am

Solis was knocked out by Vitali Klitschko. Vitali landed a right hook on Solis’ temple, Solis went down and hurt his knee only after he went down. This is very clear on video, but they keep lying because they think they can fool everyone even with the video. Solis will have lots of food in his corner, eating between rounds……….

f#k of muppet, its way past your bed time

Posted March 7, 2014 3:43 pm

Posted March 7, 2014 3:32 pm

Pratt is wrong, Solis has been a winner his whole carreer. Even Solis today, whith a bad knee, will school the Tiger … as Punch wrote, Solis by workmanlike decision …

Posted March 7, 2014 2:36 pm

TT whips his ass

Posted March 7, 2014 12:29 pm

one eye

Isnt it for the wbc mcdonalds title ? Am i mistaken? itsa good fight for hardcore fans but please, a title fight.Do both need belts???? trousers about to fall???It fashionable to show part of your ar$e .

Posted March 7, 2014 12:14 pm

Solis was very unfortunate in his only chance to fight for the title. And he was doing well until the point he got that single punch to the temple, even when his defense was almost as high as in any boxing book … if not for the injury he would have been competitive in that fight … all the rest is history, three OP-s to the same knee, and it is a wonder that he is still fighting … it Shows that he still care for boxing and that he has still it …. If he wins against Thompson he simply shows he is still worthy …

Posted March 7, 2014 11:30 am

Thompson is still capable of derailing inexperienced hopefuls and some top 20 fighters, but he will never win a World Title. Solis has really done nothing as a pro, hes beaten Leif Larsen, Chauncey Welliver and Konstantin Airich, and thats about it! He isnt going anywhere, and shouldnt be in the Top Ten of any organisations ratings.

Posted March 7, 2014 11:07 am

Solis is a disappointment in the pro game, end of. He won the Worlds beating David Haye, won the Olympics hw TEN YEARS AGO, done nothing much as a professional and he’s now 33. A lot of guys on here were tipping him to beat Vitali…..hahahahahahahahaha! Let’s see if. he can even beat Ancient Old Tony…

Posted March 7, 2014 10:58 am

will they have enough gas to go the full 3 rounds.

Posted March 7, 2014 10:48 am

i was thinking od solis of course

Posted March 7, 2014 9:26 am

cut him the carbs. i watched him running up the dunes in ytube. omg. cut him the sugars etc

Posted March 7, 2014 9:26 am

oh no, the tiger gets to see wlad again.

Posted March 7, 2014 9:25 am

keep the hw circus rolling.

Swedish Boxing Fan

10 years ago sence Odlianer Solis won his Olympic Gold medal as a Heavyweight.

Same Olympic Games in Athen 2004 –
Alexander Povetkin won Gold as a Super heavyweight,
Andre Ward won Gold as a light heavyweight,
Yuriorkis Gamboa won Gold as a Flyweight,
Guillermo Rigondeaux won Gold as a Bantamweight
Amir Khan won Silver as a Lightweight.
Gennedy Golovkin won Bronze as a Middleweight

Wow look at what these 6 Olympic medalist boxers are today as proffesionals, and look at what Odlianer Solis is.
These guyes have reached the top of there weight divisions and are recognised champions – Where is Odlianer Solis? 20-1-0 KO’s 13 and only fought in 1 world title fight (KO loss in 1st round to Vitali Klitschko)

Odlianer Solis is now 33 years old and have wasted so much time in his career. Best victories are a victory over past prime Monte Barrett and a DQ win over Ray Austin. I feel sorry for Odlianer Solis to not have used his potentials better in the PRO ring.

Dangerous fight for Solis. for when is the cancellation scheduled?

Posted March 7, 2014 7:51 am

Yes, Vitali was never down but stayed on his stool and never got up for the last round.

Posted March 7, 2014 6:05 am

Вуrd тko vitаli? Vitаli nеvеr bе down!

Posted March 7, 2014 5:13 am

Вуrd тko vitаli?

Posted March 7, 2014 5:12 am

Sounds logical not logically.

Meant Attrition.

Turkish boxing fan

It appears that Largo swallowed the entire american propoganda about Cuba without even smelling it. With deep ignorance at that level, you’re wasting your life. For example it isn’t Cuban DNA that makes Cuban fighters great at amatour level, it is Cuban way of training them, developing them.. Loser..

Posted March 7, 2014 4:23 am

Solis bу ko/Тko.
Chаrr-Solis or Solis-Pеrеz will bе grеаt fights to.

Stivеrnе-Solis -for thе world titlе will bе еpic. Solis mауbе would bе mаndаtorу, but Wildеr is hеrе to
grеаt fight bу WВC!

Posted March 7, 2014 4:06 am

Thompson needs to keep La Fartsa at distance with his jab, setting up combinations. In addition, Thompson needs to give El Stinko plenty of side-to-side movement.

Posted March 7, 2014 3:01 am

in talent alone, Solis should beat this old-man to death, but nobody knows how a fat, rich, satisfied mental midget will show up fight night. I personally, don’t give a fok.

Posted March 7, 2014 1:24 am

’till then, Solis is happy with a greasy hamburger a half-hearted effort & a decent payday…largo spoke.

Posted March 7, 2014 1:15 am

First of all, Vitali landed a right hook on Solis’ temple, Solis went down from a punch, after he went down he hurt his knee, but Solis was knocked out in the first round. The video shows how Solis is lying.

Solis claiming that Vlad only fights bums?! Well………then why is Solis fighting Thompson who was knocked out by Vladimir Klitschko two times?

Posted March 7, 2014 1:11 am

Everyone in the audience will have to wear gas masks so as not to be detrimentally affected by Solis’s HUGE FARTS!! I hear Thompson and the referee will be wearing gas masks especially designed since they will be in close proximity to Solis. I’ve also heard that the corner men will be doing the same thing. In addition, Solis is taking a break after the 2nd round for some grilled stuft burritos from Taco Bell.

Posted March 7, 2014 12:43 am

this could be a good match. the winner will eventually box wlad?

Posted March 7, 2014 12:37 am

I actually think solis can beat him.age factor on thompson

Posted March 7, 2014 12:14 am

The old man vs the fat man. Solis has good skills but his conditioning will let him down. Tony by ud with a less likely chance of solis by ko. Solis will not be able to press the action for more than 4 rounds with the older but still mobile tony

Posted March 7, 2014 12:14 am

This is a very interesting fight Solis canbox and looked very good before losing his only pro fight to Vitali. He has beaten some pretty good names before that. This matchup is interesting because Tony Thompson has also beat some good names. Tough fight to call.

Posted March 7, 2014 12:10 am

Solis is a blubbery waste of talent who was rocked by a Vitali range finder and took the easy way out by faking injury.

Posted March 6, 2014 11:54 pm

Any news on Tonys wife ?…….. I hope her hip has healed up nicely……

Posted March 6, 2014 9:32 pm

udd – the first thing you think of with solis is FAT. we can’t stop mentioning it because it infuriates boxing fans when a huge talent can’t stop eating. eat when your retired you fat pr+ck

Posted March 6, 2014 7:40 pm

Ok we know Solis is out of shape, please no more comment on that subject its too boring

Posted March 6, 2014 6:44 pm

Solis is an amazing talent and was slapping Vitali out when he injured his knee. He is also a fat slob who is wasting his considerable talent. The new David Tua.

Posted March 6, 2014 6:38 pm

Solis loves turkey oh and chicken beef pizzza lol

Posted March 6, 2014 5:50 pm

Prince Albert

Solis beat no one much good and his ‘effort’ against Vitali Klitschko was a farce.

Posted March 6, 2014 5:49 pm

vitally hit him with a punch and solis went down.

Posted March 6, 2014 5:39 pm

Master Ken, he went down because his knee went out. Was Solis concussed? No. Hardly a power shot, that is why Vitali was so surprised. Vitali was annoyed as he knew he hadn’t hit him with much. Before the injury became apparent Vitali may have suspected Solis was throwing the fight.

Posted March 6, 2014 5:27 pm

I agree with Delphi, although Solis has weight issues he was ridiculously dismissed as a contender following his knee injury. If you watch the first round with Vitali you could see that it was going to be an intriguing fight. Solis is a very talented fighter and I hope he gets credit one day.

Posted March 6, 2014 5:23 pm

Master Ken

Lost due to a knee injury? Ok, but be specific, solis got caught with a power punch went down and hurt his knee… Thus, he was knocked out.. Enjoy

Posted March 6, 2014 3:37 pm

another hw freak show.

Posted March 6, 2014 3:24 pm

It’s a good bout if both men have trained well, turn up in shape and come to fight. Odlanier Solis probably prevails by decision, but TT of course has a shot. Solis’ career has been disappointing to date, but with Vitali Klitschko departed from the scene, the WBC title is potentially winnable.

Posted March 6, 2014 3:22 pm

Thompson is never out working any fighter.

Posted March 6, 2014 2:59 pm

The oracle of Delphi

Solis wins this. Eventually he will get a shot at the title and win it. I actually think, when in shape, he can beat Wladimir, if Wladimir is not allowed to hug him all night…

Posted March 6, 2014 2:40 pm

Hard to say how much is left in T.T. tank. But if T.T. does have something left then he could out work/box…the underachiver Solis…

Posted March 6, 2014 2:38 pm

Correction: “In March 2011 Solis lost to then WBC champion Vitali Klitschko in Cologne (Germany) because Solis is a lazy fat unprofessional slob who is wasting his huge talent.”

Posted March 6, 2014 2:19 pm

I am pulling for Thompson, a good man and real pro, but boxing is not good for men on the wrong side of 40. It would be great if he could win this one and go out a winner with his health intact, but a win would probably put him back in the title hunt and more punishing fights.

Posted March 6, 2014 1:44 pm

I think TT is going to come motivated and in good shape. Good match up, best of luck to both.

Posted March 6, 2014 1:35 pm

I like this fight. Seeing where Solis is. If you can’t beat Thompson then you will not be champ and more than likely never hold a title. Thompson will more than likely come in out of shape, that is what he does. See if Solis can come in better shape than he normally does.

Posted March 6, 2014 1:24 pm

Solis by workmanlike decision.
