Tark is the only guy with sensible comments about that fight. Vitali wasn’t beaten. He was on his way to winning. Despite what butt hurt te tumbo says, that cut wasn’t even caused by a punch. Vitali has never been beaten. Now on the other hand, Lewis has been KTFO by complete bums many times in his career.

Nice little fairy tale you wrote there te tumbo. The most “fired up” Lewis was that whole night was when Merchant explained to him that he was losing on all 3 scorecards. Then he lost it. But most of us remember exactly how that fight went and it wasn’t anywhere near the way you described it. You’re still butt hurt at what Vitali did to your guy and by the way, just because he stayed upright for 9 rounds doesn’t mean he was competitive. In fact, considering what just happened to Mago, I would say it’s pretty damn stupid to continue fighting and taking punishment when you’re so far behind against a guy who has never even been down. And as far as what Adamek did to your guy, in Arreola’s own words, Adamek turned him into “Shrek.”

Funny how people that claim to be serious boxing fans defend lazy, undisciplined fighters like Arreola, when he disrespects HW, the sport of boxing and fans – including the idiots that defend him, by coming into the ring out of shape time and time again. Meanwhile these same “fans” try to discredit the K Bros, who are in shape for every single fight, no questions asked. That is too much to ask of a Mexican-American, however, a notoriously lazy, unmotivated group of people. Not that Pisstobal could ever dream of beating a top heavyweight anyways. When you’re a Mexican, don’t have much talent and your people have a history of quitting when things get tough, you’re not cut out to be heavyweight champion. You tend to quit too. Why do gutless Mexicans always save their quitting for the biggest fights? Arreola-Vitali, De La Crossdresser-Pacquiao, etc?

why is it that Wussball insists on talking about a heavyweight division that nobody cares about? there are no dominant or emerging American champions, which means it remains the deadest zone of the sport. the Klitschkos have it easy since Lewis retired and Vitali blew his chance to claim some of the previous glory of the heavyweight division by geting BUSTED-Up and DEFEATED by Lewis. Wussball sounds bitter that NObody seems to give a crap about the Klit-bros.

this fight is all depending on how well Pacs footwork is and avoiding Rios,s big right hands.

Wusstobal Arreola

there is no shame in vitali “losing” to a hall of famer like lewis. he was winning the fight at the time and he protested the stoppage and tried for a rematch. this is honorable. this was over 10 years ago and vitali has since gone on to become a lock for the hall of fame. compare this to arreola’s pathetic career. how about the time that adamek broke arreola’s face? how about what stiverne did to him? all in his own hometown…

Posted November 22, 2013 2:04 pm

Wusstobal Arreola

vitali has never been knocked down, out or been behind on the scorecards at any time as a professional. most importantly he has never quit during a fight or been reduced to crying as the pathetic arreola was. no mexican heavy will ever achieve what vitali has.

why is this tit tumbo even speaking on this topic? he’s way out of his league. he doesn’t watch heavyweight and none of his people are even remotely important at that weight class. nor will they ever be. the only reason he has an opinion here is because vitali has ties to a mexican – the one who he made cry like a b*tch – otherwise, he has no opinion about the division and probably couldn’t name 10 heavyweight fighters off the top of his head.

the Klit-bros. are lucky to be dominating the weakest division in boxing. in fact, Klitschio bouts can’t draw flies in the states, which is why their bouts are held in Europe at 1pm PST(?!), i.e., American fight-fans don’t give a F’k and when American fight-fans don’t give a F’k, you’ve lost the fight-crowd. what’s left is nationalistic exhibitions enabling eastern euros to brag that they dominate at least one thing on this earth . . . even though nobody gives a flying-F’k.

rod, klitschko haters like you need not give an opinion on this because you are obviously unable to be impartial when it comes to the klits. you have shown this. at least have the sense to post under a different name than you use to constantly bash the brothers and then maybe someone will take you seriously on this topic. and as far as tit tumbos opinion on this goes, he wouldn’t even have one if arreola hadn’t gotten his head bashed in by vitali. you think tit tumbo watches a division were the best mexican has absolutely zero chance at ever winning a title? he isn’t qualified to speak on it. he just feels obligated to defend his mexican brother.

The lewis fight did not end prematurely. I cant believe people are still out there who think the fight ended prematurely.

If Arreola spent as much energy training as he did crying after Vitali beat his brains out, maybe he could have honored himself and his fans by lasting the distance and leaving the ring with a little dignity. Instead, the b*tch titted fatso will always be remembered for crying like a woman on what was HBO’s most watched telecast of 2009. As for cry baby giving Vitali a fight, he didn’t even win a round.

Arreola is the last opponent who gave Vitali a fight. he charged hard just about every round and flustered Vitali several times, but that was it. As far as your bizarre theories connecting ethnicity to weight-classes, you’re on your own, son.

big, fat, whiny, crybaby beaner

vitali-lewis, great, classic fight between two hall of fame fighters. unfortunately it ended prematurely. vitali tried to get a rematch to no avail. but the crowd appreciated his effort that night and he chased lewis right out of boxing. now on the other hand, arreola-vitali, not a great fight. one hall of famer against a fat, lazy underachiever. it was a one-sided beat down. to make matter worse for arreola, the big fat baby couldn’t contain himself and decided to weep like a woman following the fight. what an embarrassment in his hometown in front of his home fans – who probably spent a months wages (for them) earned by doing hard manual labor to get into the building. and this is how he repaid them. if this is the best heavyweight these hispanics have to offer, no wonder they are nearly non existent in any of the higher weight classes.

this beaner never has thoughts on heavyweight boxing unless it involves arreola – which vitali does in a way since he beat arreola to tears and made “b*tch t*ts” quit. as such, he will have it in for vitali until the end of time. just as he has it in for trinidad to this day because de la h0mo decided it would be a good idea to run around like a fairy for 4 rounds and give the fight away some 14 years ago.

TARK, it was Lewis who was gaining momentum and perhaps desperately but fiercely going for the KO when the fight was justifiably stopped. that was the worst laceration i’ve ever seen any boxer sustain in a pro bout. it was Nasty and only getting nastier v. a fired-up Lewis who saw his chance and was Busting Vitali up even more even while Vitali was beginning to understandably wilt under the onslaught. besides, it’s not how a fighter starts but how a fighter ends a fight. Lewis ended it in fiercely brutal, bloody, and dramatic fashion. THAT’s what actually happened. everything else is pure speculation that didn’t actually happen.

Posted November 21, 2013 8:48 pm

Larry Merchant: (To Lewis) “I understand you were behind on ALL THREE SCORECARDS at the time of the stoppage.”

Lewis: Grabs mic to do damage control…

Lewis kept talking about how he was going to beat Vitali up in the rematch… But he obviously knew Vitali would murder him because he chickened out.

Tumbo…, Vitali was WINNING the fight on ALL CARDs.

If the fight went to the scorecards, which is what SHOULD have happened, because the cuts were caused by foul blows… Vitali wins a UNANIMOUS TECHNICAL DECISION.

Lewis knew his ass was kicked by a guy with less than 2 weeks to prepare for a World Champioionship Fight… Lewis had MONTHS to prepare buy was still getting beating on ALL CARDS.

“funny” how presumably serious fight-fans yank bouts completely out of context to make their otherwise irrelevant arguments. at the time of the Lewis v. Vitali bout, Vitali was considered a one-dimensional and robotic puncher that Lewis mistakenly underestimated but STILLl BUSTED-Up in BRUTAL fashion in the final bout of his pro career. we can only imagine what a prime or even serious Lewis would’ve done v. this same outClassed and ultimatel outPunched version of Vitali. “Anonymous” nobodies need to retreat to the sidelines and read twice as much as they post to avoid sounding like such clueless MORONS.

And it is obvious you don’t know anything. You claim one thing and then try to defend the other guy. Dont you know Vitali could give a bucket of piss for you? You don’t know anything about Vitali unless your name is Vitali. Moron

Posted November 21, 2013 4:48 pm

Doesn’t matter you moron. You know how many people out on their feet in a fight that protest stoppages? Vitali has heart nobody is taking that away from him, not to mention he had to do that to get the quitter tag removed from him. But the fact is the cut was bad and the ref stopped it. End of story, Lewis retired. Get over it. Vitali lost to a fat out of shape Lewis who took him on in 2 weeks notice.

Posted November 21, 2013 4:46 pm

Vitali wasn’t “beaten,” you wigger moron. He protested the stoppage while Lewis was relieved and then he ran into retirement. Vitali was ahead on ALL scorecards at the time of the stoppage. Who was beating who? Lewis was bailed out, plain and simple. Lewis didn’t have the will to get in shape for millions of dollars? What does that say about what a piss poor “champion” he was? Moron, he came into many fights out of condition even earlier in his career. Age had nothing to do with it. He was an overrated, lazy “champion” that lost many fights because of his laziness. Only a wigger idiot would make excuses for why a professional fighter came in out of shape. And if he was white, your self hating wigger ass would agree.

Posted November 21, 2013 4:32 pm

While Pacquiao, even in decline is suprememly talented, Rios is not. Yes Rios is exciting but he’s a straight forward brawler with zero defense, poor footwork, slow handspeed, no head movement, and moves forward.

This is a showcase fight for Pacquaio…no doubt about it. Rios is a high profile/low risk opponent that’s there to make Pacquaio look good. To compare this fight to Hagler/Hearn, both of whom where highly skilled boxers, is hyperbole and nothing more.

Posted November 21, 2013 4:03 pm

Actually you are the moron. What does that say about Vitali? He was beaten by an out of shape Lewis. And that is my point moron. He didn’t have the will to get back into shape. Just like Hagler said, hard to wake up at 5am and go running when you are sleeping in silk sheets. But wow, Vitali getting beat by an out of shape Lewis, That says more then Lewis retiring.

IF i happened to catch Roach at a decent taqueria or truck, i would start out by loudly declaring “F’n Mexican in the House”. if that didn’t get a reaction, do you seriously think that i don’t have an overflowing bucket of bait to get the reaction that i do want? there aren’t meds strong enough to steady Freddie for a trip to the east or south side. Pacquiao had a stern talk with Roach? Roach is more his own man than Pacquiao. Did anyone notice Garcia’s eyes glistening when pleading his case right after the incident. The children were called out. Roach did well to cut out the niceties. Garcia was the most surprising participant in the original Roach Parkinson joke. This camp is childishly sleazy.

Tark Lewis won the match with Vitali plain and simple. He did not run from a rematch, he retired. If you are not 100% in boxing then you need to get out. And lets not forget he fought Vitali on 2 weeks notice. He was training for Johnson, Lewis was way out of shape. Sorry but that is weak. I don’t like Lewis but he did not run from anybody. Moorer would of been destroyed by Lewis, Byrd, are you serious. There was no demand for that fight first of all and Byrd stood no chance. Like I said Lewis ran from nobody. Everybody on the HBO crew thought De La Hoya blew the fight by running… He sure pissed off the fans who were booing like Hell the more Oscar ran and ran… I think you should view the fight again.

But the way the rounds were scored it was very weird…

Jerry Roth got called before the commission for scoring the 12th round for Oscar… Everybody wanted to know what the Hell he was doing — because that was the most decisive round of the fight and Trinidad won it… It seemed like it was a “make up” round.

Sure Bob. This will be a wolverine vs a sloth. A slaughter. Very predictable win for Pacquioa. If he does however lose he should find Hecdog and punch him in the nose for making feel invincible.

Hecdog, that’s the most intelligent thing I’ve heard you say lately. You are correct. Hopefully Rios’ corner throws in the towel before his face gets shattered, but it’s in China and they care about human life like they care about pollution.

I feel for Brandon Rios. He’s going to take a beating as long as the fight lasts. This fight will resemble the Larry Holmes Randall Tex Cobb fight. People, this is going to be ugly before Garcia throws in the towel and stops Manny from massacring Brandon Rios. Trust me on this.

roach will get more fans from these. the weasels making noise about will never be remembered

Posted November 20, 2013 7:32 pm

Roach should apologize… He wasn’t going to chase anybody out of the gym because it was past 11AM … He’s not exactly King Kong.

Posted November 20, 2013 7:22 pm

Lewis refused to fight southpaws. Moorer, Byrd, or Sanders??? No dice.

And of course LL ran from a rematch with Vitali — who was beating him on ALL SCORECARDS when the fight was stopped… Obviously if the fight went to the scorecards Lewis would have lost by UNANIMOUS TD.

Enough reason to do a rematch — which the whole world wanted to see.

te tumbo

Parkinson’s doesn’t give that block-headed coward Roach the right to spout bigoted remarks. he lives in a city that is 50% “F’n Mexican” along with a significant Jewish population. Roach’s latent bigotry won’t be tolerated in this city. he needs to apologize for his bigoted outburst. otherwise, this stuttering-muttering Prick must simply resign himself to being an notoriously unrepentant BIGOT . . . in a city that is notoriously “F’n Mexican”.

This fight will not go over 9 rounds and has a chance of ending by KO at the hands of Manny Pac Man Pacquiao in under 5 rounds. Rios won’t see punches coming at him, and he will take a beating before Garcia throws in the towel and says he’s had enough. This is more than just a come back fight for Manny. He’s carrying the entire country of the Philippines on his back along with his financial adviser Michael Koncz and he will not let Freddie get treated like he has by Ariza and Garcia. Manny is a high powered emotion that will translate into one of boxings worst beatings comparable to and possibly worse than Larry Holmes /Randall Tex Cobb fight. Manny will be on a complete different level.

Lennox ran from nobody. That is a ridiculous comment

Posted November 20, 2013 7:11 pm

Popkins.., Rios would murder ANY version of Hatton.

Rios would be too tough… too smart… too durable… and too savvy for Hatton… You’ll see the difference in Pacquiao’s fights with them.

Roach says Pacquiao had the best camp EVER and is the sharpest EVER!!! … Nonetheless, Rios will do a lot better than Hatton did.

Posted November 20, 2013 7:06 pm

Pacman is done! No Ariza no extra boost! Guaranteed!

Posted November 20, 2013 6:49 pm

Pbf and Lennox Lewis have a lot in common. Does anyone know what it is ? Here’s a clue , they both avoided the biggest fight and payday of their career because they couldn’t live with it if (not that they would for sure) they lost.

Posted November 20, 2013 6:48 pm

Hatton was no boxer . Not so sure if he beats Rios, would be close. Pac don’t want none if Floyd. At least that’s the impression left when he turned down 40 mil and is willing to do random testing with Rios but not Floyd

Posted November 20, 2013 6:40 pm

Tark… A prime Hatton would have been too much for Rios. Ricky could have outboxed him AND outfought him. Either way Hatton wins.

Posted November 20, 2013 6:22 pm

Pacman by stoppage or wide UD.

Posted November 20, 2013 6:21 pm

If Pac wins impressively, I wouldn’t be surprised if Floyd slips off into retirement again.

Posted November 20, 2013 6:17 pm

Another TOP STINK match up….Rios got schooled by Abril. Only reason this fight happening is because Bob Arum protecting his cash cow pacman and trying to steal money from boxing fans. Not my hard earned Money!
Mayweather would school pacman even on he’s worst day. Pacman cant even beat JMM cleanly…mayweather destroyed JMM. Best counter puncher in the game is Mayweather.
F#ck Bob arum and WBC…boxing will be better off when they’re gone

Posted November 20, 2013 6:04 pm

Roach doesn’t like Arum. He has said that plenty of times before.

Posted November 20, 2013 5:55 pm

This is not going to be like Hagler-Hearns…

Because Hearns was prone to getting into slugfests with Hagler or Barkley or guys who were physically tougher and stronger and could flatten TH — instead of using movement, skill, his jab, footwork, angles, and ring space — which when Tommy was smart, and used his reach and speed against Leonard he was winning rounds decisively … but when he started trading shots with Ray he got stopped while he was ahead on points … so Pacquiao has learned his lesson. He’s not going to be jumping in with loaded right hooks and get put to sleep for 10 minutes. He knows that’s Rios’s wet dream, that he gets stupid and careless again — like Hearns was prone to do.

This is going to be more like Pacquiao vs Hatton—the first round… Except Rios is much smarter, a better boxer, and physically tougher than Hatton … so the fight should go into the late rounds and most likely go the full 12 … but Rios will be on the receiving end of more punches than Pacman. Rios is going to bring the heat, because his chin is a lot stronger than Hearns’s … so it could get really edgy in there… When the bell ending round 12 rings, Pacquiao will be jumping around like a little kid and a standing ovation will last 5 minutes. Then when the decision makes Pac the official winner a sea of humanity will flood the ring and carry Pacquiao off like a conquering hero.

It will be 10 minutes before Pac can be interviewed and Manny will issue a challenge to Floyd Mayweather… “LET’S DO IT FLOYD!!!”

That is basically how it’s going to go down Saturday night.

yeeeaaahhh riiigghhtt! pac is going to school this cat he is straight tailor made for the pacman ,aint nobody fooled…no sir!

Posted November 20, 2013 5:19 pm

LOL. I don’t think either Hagler or Hearns were #0 P4P at that time. NICE way to try to sell it though which is your JOB.

Ray Ray

The best thing 4 mannys career is 2 leave Arum…..Garcia and Mayweather in 1 yr would b Mannys biggest pay day 2 date, highest yr of earnings ever. Im sure Bob has him by the short and curlies…..Didnt Gamboa want out toprank? Look what happen 2 him? Keep Arum off here.

Posted November 20, 2013 5:01 pm

According to seeback Roach must hate arum too. that roach sure is a racist

Tomato Can

Really, were both Hagler and Heanrs coming off of losses?

Posted November 20, 2013 4:48 pm

What is with these sensational claims of late? The other week it was that Rodriguez is in the mould of a Holyfield-Tyson type. WRONG!!!! Now this fight is being compared to Hagler-Hearns. WTF!!!! Let the fight make its own definition and save the sensationalism for after an epic battle or performance. Getting tired of these over-hyped bouts and fighters who end up giving the fans nothing.

Bob you are a germ…I didnt relise Hagler and hearns where coming off loses? I Arum does like 2 sell Muttin dressed like Lamb doesnt he. What about stepping aside Bob and letting Manny fight Mayweather and Garcia? Arum will use manny up and Draw him out as long as possible…..hes a thief.

Posted November 20, 2013 4:42 pm

To bad Pac declined the drug testing or else we could of seen if he would of made Floyd run or if he would of been played with like a rag doll. Floyd would easily toy with Pac.

Posted November 20, 2013 4:40 pm

Ariza showed his cowardly side by kicking 50 year old Roach.

Posted November 20, 2013 4:33 pm

PAC will make mayrunner run for his life.

Fight Aficionado

Comparing this to Hagler-Hearns is total nonsense. Arum brought his “medical” weed with him.

Posted November 20, 2013 3:44 pm

Every fight Arum promotes he says it is gonna be like Hagler and Hearns. I heard the interview when he said this and he said that Garcia and Roach got into a pushing match and that Ariza sucker punched Roach. He clearly doesn’t know what is going on. Dude, retire already
