This article was absolute nonsense. Not only was it overwrought and written without critical thought; but it was also incoherent and written poorly. It is embarrassing that this sort of thing is considered acceptable by the ESB staff…

Hernandez wasn’t in his prime, Coralles, Judah, Hatton and Castillo. None of those fighters where in there prime. Beat Marquez a couple years before Marquez KOd Pac.

Hey BG I agree with you 100%, he has fought no one in his prime. I wish he would of fought Pac or KT in their prime, but we all knew it was never going to happen, he is all about money and that is it. Oscar was tough and a great boxer and I still remember the fights with Trinidad, classic wars. I’m hoping this young bull Canelo lands just one clean shot on his jaw cause that is all it’s going to take to get him scared and worried and then it will all be over for him.

what was this article about ?

DJ =Well said your the only guy speaking sense and totally agree with you, Floyd will only go down as ATG in his own home Pacman had his number but Floyd decided to come up with excuses after excuse, shame for boxing and its fans.Mayweather UD but want Canelo to win.

@BG Boxing: Reason you don’t know the answer to your question is because you only started watching boxing when the Pac Hype started. You’re not alone, though. You have the Noy-Noys for company. LOL.

BG Boxing

Wow this was a journalistic blow job!! What does the writer think floyd walks on water too? Does he think he will fight forever and never age??

DJ – DeLaHoya fought Trinidad in his PRIME, what legitimate super star has Floyd ever fought in there prime…NONE. He had the chance with Pac but it never happened.

What’s this writer’s point of the story? Buyer’s regret? Not happening even if the card’s a disappointment. It’s the big card of the year, Matthysse is on the undercard, our Fight Night party is booked and we’ll get wasted all night with the fellas.

“Did anybody catch the way Mayweather looked at Broners belly in Showtimes All Access? He saw dollar signs and an easy payday for his next fight.” – No, what Floyd saw is Broner’s boner, which he sucked as soon as the cameras stopped rolling.

Grabbing for a straw, you need to get a grip mate. Of course he avoided KT just the same way that De La Hoya avoided him. No one went near him when KT said he only wanted big fights. Did Pretty Boy’s handlers try and make anything happen…NO…Did De La Hoya try and make something happen…NO. They were all around the same weight class in the early 2000’s and it could have happened, that’s why I give credit to Sharmba and Judah for taking the fights. They wanted the best and they fought the best and looked what happened, there is no disgrace in losing to a legend. Don’t get me wrong Floyd is an amazing athlete and a great boxer but he avoided the two people that had the style and talent to beat him in KT and Pacman and that is a shame for boxing and its’ fans..

DJ get a grip… I’ve long railed against Mayweather because I don’t like his personality.. I’ve always given him credit for boxing.. And no doubt he will go down as one of the best…but to say he avoided Kostya is grabbing for a straw man.

My whole gripe with Cheese head is he has been gifted EVERYTHING (even his “WIN” against Trout) ……….His whole career has been one big “gift” Though this is BOXING and there is always the punchers chance ….As well with the fact that Canelo does have some nice skills , win lose or draw I would love to see him fight Sergio or even Molina ……………………

Posted September 13, 2013 8:54 pm

This pundit says.., “Canelo has a chance … a chance which could be preceded by many a zero percentage-wise, but it’s still a shot” and “Canelo is likely to find out relatively soon on Saturday night that he’s been duped in the worst way … when he sees just how good Mayweather really is.”

Then I guess you mortgaged your house and bet it all on Floyd???

Talk about clueless Floydiots — this goofball is in Zu Zu Land.

This site is not serious, punlishing over the top articles like that. This belongs in forums

Canelo was duped? How? He’s not fighting because he was duped into thinking he can win, the kid truly believes it and he wants to be the best AND he stands to make the biggest purse in his career. What was the option? Not fight the best guy out there? This article is pointless. In fact all May/Canelo articles at this point are…Let’s get it on!

I believe Mayweather will beat Canelo.

Floyd will go down in history as never facing the most feared opponent in his division and that was the unified champion at the time of Kostya Tszyu. People can make all the excuses under the sun why they didn’t fight, but the simple fact is that Floyd continually ducked him. Kostya fought Sharmba Mitchell twice and destroyed him twice. He fought Zab Judah and we all know what happened with that. So why did Floyd fight both of them as well but didn’t fight KT, cause he knew that KT was too relentless in his attack on breaking down his opponents and he wouldn’t of had any answers. That is why he ducked Pacman as well for years. Mayweather is all about money and keeping the 0 to his name. As long as you always face the best there is, it doesn’t matter if you lose, that is the true mark of a champion, not how much money you can make or how many hangers on you have.

Posted September 13, 2013 5:16 pm

and this writer livitz. this nuthuggery for floyd is a bit exxcessive. he’s kinda belittling canelo and equating him with all other oppenents. canelo will show he’s the best floyd opponent
