this is an intresting piece by the writer and actually answers the question on why the klitsckos only fight bums !!! because there is no money or negioation in it. take poetkin he’s guy won the purse bid and they are still having to give wlad what he wants or he wont fight – there was no point in bidding 23 million if wlad gets his own way on everything anyway. going back to my orginal point there are some good heavyweight fights out there and they are being made but just not with the klitsckos the problem is the krauts keep bankrolling them by watching them ( the rest of the world has switched off) otherwise they might be made to take a risk. Wlad has money but not respect.

With regards to my opinion on Pulev, take a look at his record, look at the class of opponents that HE has beaten, and then tell me he is head and shoulders better than Fury, what a joke. What has he done with his American opponents, two journeyman heavyeights, Dominic Guinn and Zack Page, if he is so sensational, and maybe the next champion, as some so called fans are saying, how come he could not put either away? I am not knocking him as a fighter, what I am saying is,the press is building him up more than they have built up Fury, and they have done a pretty good job of that, just for the sake of a new fighter to talk about. Let both of them face a really world class Heavyweight, then tell me how good either one is.

Ladbrokes has Fury a 3-1 underdog for this show with Haye! Given the fact how timid Haye was with Klitschko, I think Great Britans only hope for Heavyweight dominance is with Martin Rogan!

Poor Pulev. He has scared everyone in the division

AssyrianGod2: Nice objective assessment of Fury at this stage in his young career. I agree with most of what you’ve said here. Although TF would likely lose to Haye at this point, I think he’d give him a lot more trouble than most think. U.S.S. landed a HARD, overhand right that would’ve KO’d a lot of HWs. TF just smiled, got back up and fought on like it was nothing. That is NOT whats known as a “China Chin.”

Te Tumbo…Spot on, far to slow off the mark for Haye. TIMBER….

Posted June 6, 2013 11:29 am

Fury would likely beat….. Price? get real, he dropped two belts to avoid him. His promoter, fat Mick and himself really thought that then they would have face Price as he was the mandatory for the HW Lonsdale & commonwealth belts. Would like beat…. no you might think that but Fluffy and his promoter didn’t.

Haye v Fury

That will be a combustable fight, a spark, Haye stacks, it will go off, it’s time to burn furiously, lots of needle there, needle will be easy to find.

Posted June 6, 2013 3:06 am

Fury does not want Haye how do we know? Haye is not talking about fury. Haye would KO Fury in the first round with a jab.

Posted June 5, 2013 10:11 pm

Tyson Fury is just lucky his record is still ‘unbeaten’. Also very lucky he is able to get away with the silly antics in the ring. Against better opposition he would be long gone…

“LOL! I think Fury is funny as hell, man. I just can’t help stop laughing at that tweet.” – Jason, me too. He’s a comedian. Wilder replied saying FU but Haye didn’t.

after watching what Cunningham was able to do v. Fury, i think that Fury is tailor-made for a fighter like Hayes with his sudden and explosive punching style. Haye is acclimated at heavy and has demonstrated his ability to dominate B-level comp, which Fury will never rise above if he faces Haye.

Posted June 5, 2013 7:38 pm

haye would destroy fury…. id still like to see it though… love him or hate him, haye is the best HW to watch, when he mixes it up…

Posted June 5, 2013 7:21 pm

In a perfect boxing world, price vs thompson winner would fight Wilder vs fury winner. The winner of that would fight Wladimir…

Posted June 5, 2013 6:52 pm

Webster you said “Haye can’t get past a tall man’s jab”, is Fury has a jab seriously ? he don’t throw stiff jabs in there as well with no some real snap.

“Yet Haye’s performance against Wlad was in actual fact better than 90% of Wlad’s previous other challengers.” – Not really, unless by that you mean he wasn’t KOed like the others. Running for your life isn’t better though. Going out swinging while trying to actually win is more honorable.

Props to Fury for going after big fights this early in his career. Haters can say what they want but fact is no young contender is facing this level of comp.

Posted June 5, 2013 3:06 pm

Vlad knocked any fight Haye had out of him as soon as Haye tasted a couple of table leg jabs in the first he was in survival mode for the rest of the 12 rds. after all that talk and after paying £ to watch it I would agree it was pathetic.

Good fight for Haye. Tyson is amazingly one of Wlad’s most significant challengers at the moment. If Haye takes his undefeated record, giving him a swift whupping, Haye will yet again be making the Klits look bad. Haye KOs Fury inside 4 rounds.

OULD beat the Klitschkos, but he is second guessing just how much he can be bothered to take the traditional route and blast away two or three top contenders and earn his shot.

I hope Haye vs Fury happens. Either way we should get to see one of those loud mouths get KTFO.

Posted June 5, 2013 1:13 pm

Wow. Where to being with this mess. Who are the other two opponents? You say Wlad isn’t picky, based on what? You say Fury looked poor, but aside from the knock down, did he really? Support your assertions with some evidence. Two rounds against Haye? Seriously? You think Fury would fare worse against Haye than Audley Harrison? Look at how “poor” Haye performed against Valueve and Wlad. Big guys are trouble to Haye. He can’t get past a tall man’s jab. If there is one thing Fury can do, its jab. This article is ridiculous, you can’t just present your opinion as fact and provide absolutely nothing to back it up. This mess barely passes for a Blog entry. At best its a long boring facebook status.

Although I actually don’t think Fury will fight either any time soon. Watch for him to keep riding the tomato can gravey train until the k brothers retire and the division is wide open with no other real top heavy weights out there. I think fury and his promoter will want to milk the cash cow slowly and for as long as possible.

It’s odd but I actually give fury a chance or at least more chance against a k brother than I do against Haye yet I rate the brothers as stronger fighters than Haye. I guess I just think Fury is made for Hayes style, I would even be surprised to see Haye blast his out in a round. I think Furys style would make however for a good fight with the k brothers.

Posted June 5, 2013 12:30 pm

Fury should let his fists do the talking with a full pledged super heavyweight like vitali Klitschco or his brother .He then has earned the right to boast how good he is, until then I don,t believe he is that good . technicly he is not that good, cunningham knocking him down cleanly.,If that was a right hand from Wlad he may not have beat the count. He is too easy to hit and Wlad will catch him clean and we will see a big fall.Tyson is too technicly flawed to beat Vitali. He could not man handle him like he did cunningham.A test from maybe Tony Thompson would be a good test as he is sizeable to compete with him.

Ty…..Take the money and run……..and keep running……

should be a fun build up and fight if the fight happens as I hope.
ps the writer should be more pro, but what can you expect from this site

Posted June 5, 2013 11:34 am

I wish the author would have named the other 2 opponents that tyson is talking to.

Wish he would just fight Deontay Wilder and settle their twitter war.

The only way he beats Wlad or Haye is with a lucky bomb out of nowhere.

Based on common opponent, Fury doesn’t hit as hard as Haye.

Fury should take the easier fight with Wilder- if he wins, he will be a much bigger attraction.

Posted June 5, 2013 11:22 am

Fury has a big heart, and he’s skilled inside and at range, but he has little defense and a crap chin Haye in 3 rounds or less.

Posted June 5, 2013 10:45 am

Fury should not be even rated in the top 20! Haye will KO Fury within 9 rounds…

Posted June 5, 2013 10:26 am

How is fighting Haye avoiding the top level?

For been a “top contender” Tyson Fury is good at talking but this is the 2nd time he jumps off a fight at top level. Seriusly Tyson Fury lacks passion for the sport of boxing and just don’t fight for titles and glory. He is in only for easy fights nthat can bring him money. Sad and waste of potential in my book. If a fighter fights for titles and glory, the moneys will come and even more but he seems to lack that knowledge.

Posted June 5, 2013 9:01 am

Whatever happened to Bradley

Get the money ASAP Fury – you’re not a real fighter; just an oversized inbred bum.

Posted June 5, 2013 8:56 am

Tyson Fury would be a big underdog against Haye if the bout comes off. Obviously, it’s the money his team are looking at and the fact it would be a massive event in Britain. Fury can be put down, but he’s a fighting man and he gets back up. If he fights Haye in the same reckless way he fought Cunningham, its an easy win for Haye. Fury needs to cool it sometimes. How good is Haye’s chin though either in a HW bout and in a hard fight? He fought no one as WBA bogus champ, did he? Haye v Pulev would be a better fight and Pulev would take Haye down.
Looking at David Price, Fury should have took him on as it turns out. Price took one half-decent tap on the head on the head from Tony Thompson and it was sweet dreams and Goodnight Vienna!!

Posted June 5, 2013 8:29 am

I’d be surprised if Hennessy risks placing Fury in against Haye. Moreover, there’s always a lot of drama with Haye: training injuries, a broken toe, postponments in negotiations. Fury might have to wait until next winter to face Haye. On the other hand, Haye, at 33 has peaked and hasn’t fought in a year, so Fury has a much better chance of a win than before.

Posted June 5, 2013 8:12 am

If Fury can make 2 Million pounds against Haye, he should take the fight. Off recent form, he can’t win that fight, but for that kind of money, it is worth a shot. But where do these figures come from? This is a fine domestic attraction, but is it realistic that Fury gets 2 million and Haye at least as much? Both Fury and Haye have the knack for getting in the press. Getting both into the ring will be more complicated.

Posted June 5, 2013 7:54 am

I never begrudge any one who steps in the ring all the money they get,how ever, I can’t help it when it comes to these two clowns, talking there way in to multi million pound paydays,Froch reportedly got that sort of money for Kessler last month and that was his biggest payday.I wish the public and tv networks would pay a few more quid to watch small hall shows and start ignoring clowns like Steve bunce over selling and over hyping idiots that are good for tv but not the sport of boxing.

Posted June 5, 2013 7:22 am

SVDC – agreed….. but he should learn to keep his mouth shut…. as it just makes him look like a fool with-out a village!!

Posted June 5, 2013 6:51 am

If the money is 2M indeed, I’d suggest Fury to take the fight. He will lose, but I think he’d lose against Pulev as well. If he continious to step it up, he will lose soon anyways. Might as well chose for the route with most money then

Simple Truth

P.S. I agree that it’d be fun to see Fury getting KO’d though. He’s an embarrassment to boxing.

Needless to say, if Haye ever does get another chance against one of the Klitschkos, he’d damn well better do a whole lot more than he did against Wladimir — even if it means him getting KO’d in the attempt.

Posted June 5, 2013 5:55 am

Simple Truth

Fury is no doubt delusional, but surely he knows that if he fights Haye he will get sparked out? I guess he’s just after a big payday, like Audley was when he fought Haye.

Obviously, Haye is mainly about getting big paydays too, and taking the easiest and least risky routes to glory, but at least he’s a good boxer (that is, when he doesn’t stink the place out with his … little toe).

Dan D

I would really like to see this fight, get rid of Tyson Fury once and for all.

Posted June 5, 2013 4:24 am

Haye is 2/9 to win, and 8/15 to win by KO, TKO or DQ.
Think I’ll have a substantial investment in that.

Posted June 5, 2013 4:14 am

If Fury faces Haye, Haye will smash him up within 3 rounds. Fury is a big bloke, but a complete plodder, with a poor defence and relatively weak chin.

Posted June 5, 2013 4:07 am

How would Fury make only 400k quid if he fought Wlad after winning against Pulev? He’d be mandatory and be eligible for 25% of the purse. A completely unknown Solis made 1.8 million EUR against Vitali (approx 1.5 million quid).

Posted June 5, 2013 3:57 am

Fury won’t fight Haye. Hype.

Posted June 5, 2013 3:31 am

I agree, we forget he is only a baby in HW terms, he might be really good in a year or two but he isn’t ready for Haye just yet ,although that 2 million would make anyone fight anyone.

Posted June 5, 2013 2:35 am

Squared-Circle (a.k.a. LionKing)

Why would Fury want to fight Pulev for peanuts when he can fight Haye for 2 million? Were talking about a fighter who comes from a family of traveling gypsies, probably grew-up poor and with nothing, and hasn’t yet made big money in boxing. He’s playing chess, not checkers and is looking at the big picture here. Fury is only 24 and still has a lot of time to improve his skills & conditioning. He can still get a shot at Wlad sometime in the next 2-3 years — even if he loses to Haye. It’s not like his young career is over if he gets caught by Haye because most people expect DH to win anyway. Fury is a wild and crazy dog, and not a bit afraid of getting KTFO for 2 million.

Posted June 5, 2013 2:29 am

This story is a canard… Fury dropped the Pulev fight because he didn’t want to get the s beaten out of him.. Haye is nursing an injury but the Charr fight is next in line when he heals up.. Fury is doing what he always does, looking for a soft opponent until he can get a big money Klitschko fight.

Posted June 5, 2013 2:24 am

Prof Konje

I doubt very much that Fury will fight Haye. If the fight does happen, I expect Fury to loose very badly and very early. If Cunningham was able to put him down, and he’s a light puncher, then Haye will really hurt him.
