Macklin’s fight with Jamie Moore was a scorcher  & yes Macklin vs Murray needs to happen “Rapid” :!:

To anonymous – Macklin’s last fight was against Martinez and he gave a very good account of himself. Now’s the time to try and make it in the states and make some real money, why would he take a step back and fight Murray, Barker or Saunders? It doesn’t make sense.
Let them make their own way and if these fights make sense in the future I’m sure Macklin will listen to offers.

This is a pick em’ fight, but I give a slight edge to Macklin. The downside to this match-up is that neither one of these guys stands a snowball’s chance in Hell against the winner of Chavez/Martinez.

I like Macklin, but in all honesty he’s not prooved himself #1 in the UK @ 160lb yet. He’s really gotta throw down the gauntlet to British champion Martin Murray. A contest with former British,EBU & Commonwealth champ Darren Barker would also be interesting even though I’d have it 60% DB & 40% MM. Current Commonwealth title holder Billy Joe Saunders is also on the way up & would give anyone a run for there money. Then throw in up & comers John Ryder & Mark Heffron & the British middleweight division’s looking more exciting all the time leading to cracking fights & plenty of £’s for the future!
