Trout seems like a salesman, he’s doing a good job in selling the event. Other than that he’s getting whooped.

While I favor Trout to win this fight by Decision, he better not get too uppity. Cotto has the power to blast an ear into cauliflower in one punch (ask Manny Pacquiao), and just gave a very good account of himself against Floyd Mayweather Jr. In any case, we’ll see a twelve round bout with Cotto having energy to spare at the end, and Trout having a whole new bucket of respect for Miguel.

I’ve seen 3 of trouts fights and he does not impress me. Yes he has an undefeated record but with c level fighters. If Cotto is to lose a fight and then retire, I say its with Canelo when this happens. Other than that trout has no chance!!

Trout’s a god fighter, just not spectacular. He’ going to give Cotto a good push here and there throughout the fight, but he will ultimately succumb to Cotto’s heavier hands. Cotto vs Canelo is a good 8 to 10rd affair until Cotto’s will breaks and Canelao’s power decides the final outcome.

I’m neutral on this one. I just want the winner to fight Canelo.

Like being at a deli: You like the Cotto salami or the Trout?

I like the fact that Trout is doing a good job of selling the fight.. However, at the end of the day it will be seek and destroy for Cotto.. Trout will be passing the belt and its on to the next one.

Haven’t seen much of Trout. Cotto looked like he still had it to me even though he lost his last fight. Trout is no Mayweather. Cotto is getting up there & time waits for no man. But if Cotto is bringing a torch it will be to burn Trout’s ass.

From Detroit

I like Cotto alot , but I think Trout will out box him from the outside. I hope I’m wrong.

Just don’t see Trout winning this one. However, if he doesn’t lose too badly, he can still do well.

Posted October 9, 2012 12:59 am

cotto will have to put on one of the best showings of his career to defeat trout ….

The interviewer should not comment about the accent. Everybody has an accent, the interviewer too. Does he think USA is the center of the universe ?

Stoppage by damaging punishment to that rib cage area.. Watch!! Cotto will Punish this Fool!

Posted October 8, 2012 8:03 pm

He’ll pass it but not to this hype a## lol.Cotto should stop this clown by ko or stoppage.

Posted October 8, 2012 7:42 pm

If/when Cotto passes the torch it sure the hell won’t be to Austin Trout. This dude’s hypemen have got him gassed up. Cotto wins an easy UD setting up Cotto vs. Canelo.

Trout has a awkward, cagey horrible style to watch.

Posted October 8, 2012 6:21 pm

He’l never be half the fighter Cotto is, as someone else said he has to take the torch.

Posted October 8, 2012 6:20 pm

Trout is another Mike Jones the guy barely got passed delvin rodriguez a c class fighter cotto is going to take this belt and go for another big payday then retire

Posted October 8, 2012 6:08 pm

No one passes the torch you have to take it

Posted October 8, 2012 5:37 pm

Trout will look good the 1st 5 rounds, Cotto will take him into the deep and show Trout how to get it done.

I’ve been trying to tell everyone that Trout will stun Cotto and fans at MSQ when he dominates and likely stops Cotto. Trout is too big, fast, young and hungry. He’s a moving southpaw that is going to give Cotto fits. Watch and see the Puerto Rican Boxing Legend retire after this fight. He’s been a great one, and a true Ambassador to the sport of Boxing. A great human being with class inside and outside the ring. Thanks for the memories Miguel Cotto. You’ll me missed.
