Canelo will just rehydrate come fight nite and he’ll be ok! I give him a hell of a chance to win!

Posted September 14, 2013 9:13 pm

Right.., Canelo looked pretty damned vibrant right after the Trout weigh-in.., He had massive stores of energy and went the 12-rounds with ease… After the fight he didn’t have a single mark on him.

Look at what 2 pounds did to Tommy Hearns.., He came in at 145 for Leonard… looked like death warmed over… got hurt early… took the fight by using the ring and boxing Leonard silly… then ran his gas tank bone dry and couldn’t finish.

“GTFOH he looked NO different than he did for the Trouth weigh-in ”

BS. Countless numbers of people have already made comments about Canelo’s appearance and actions.

Proud European

I pray that Canelo can do it

And a battered mars bar

And Canelo looks like he needs a few plates of mince and tatties.

Posted September 14, 2013 3:00 pm

SR what your saying has sustenance however only a fighter knows what those last couple of pounds off can TRULY do to a fighter who already battles to make weight or the fight would have been the TRUE 154 limit with no questions asked.and its a good point PE made about this being one of the few times Canelo hasn’t had the advantage.

Posted September 14, 2013 2:56 pm

PE agreed, damage limitation for Canelo unless he gets lucky and lands a bomb on Floyds off switch, here’s hoping but to be be honest I think were in for a FMM master-class of boxing, as Ive said he looks in unreal condition.

What a TOTAL lie I watched the weigh-in Canelo began drinking gatorade or pedialyte like they all do post weigh in he was smiling and gave a sharp comment for the interview…GTFOH he looked NO different than he did for the Trouth weigh-in people trying to sell being able to note 1.5 pounds difference in a human being in person or on TV are full of SHIITTTTTT… Canelo is NOT one of the Olson Twins he will be a STRONG 168-172 pounds tonight ready to go at the age of 23…. Had we NOT known of the weight discussion would guys be saying “Canelo looks like a concentration camp victim” ???? Hell no, he looks like a RIPPED, and READY young athlete who had MONTHS to get himself prepared for the fight of his LIFE….PREFAB EXCUSES>>>

Limey jay

If Canelo can land then …..we will have a fight on our hands , if floyd sticks and moves then its gonna be an a 45/0 fr floyd.
I,m interested to see wether Canelo can catch floyd like Shane….and wether he will be cute enough to take a step back and not let floyd tie him up…personally I can see Alvarez hurting him at least once, but floyd being clever enough to tie him up and make sure that it was only a one off and not letting him get anywhere near this chin for the remainder of the fight.
Of course I,d like it to be uber competitive but , floyds too fkn smart to let that happen, it’s one thing brawling with cotto, but it don’t make sense with Alvarez….floyd will block out the booing , and coast to a split decision on autopilot.

Migraine Elliott

Canelo will come in at 161 tonight…….and he looks just as ripped as Lloyd

Posted September 14, 2013 12:35 pm

Canelo looks drained

Posted September 14, 2013 10:47 am

I pray that Canelo can do it but Floyd has the deck heavily stacked in his favour, Money was looking in tremendous condition, fully hydrated and wont need to pile on any “false weight ” as I call it, being in Canelo’s weight drained state and piling on 20lb in 24h cannot be healthy.

PublicEnemy your right man the Vultures are about to sweep down on him lol,Floyd was jumping around like he was on crack and all Canelo could do was sit there and rest his weary legs,oh dear.

Go get him Brother Junior. I’ll leave him to you bro. A Tier 2 poster is way more than his entire worthless bloodline can handle, let alone him.

wow did you see Canelos lips? they were like a dry riverbed, cracked and skin peeling, bad sign of dehydration.

Posted September 14, 2013 5:23 am

I think Alvarez looked relaxed and ready at 152. I also believe he’s been winning the psychological battle and for all we know sitting down was another part of his mental game. Smiling at Mayweather was more than a sign he wasn’t intimidated, it was a message that Mayweather is in a fight.

Posted September 14, 2013 2:55 am

Canelo looks a little parched… I’m hoping he can revitalize by fight time… He looked much less drained for the Trout fight.

Paddy O’Trenchant

There are too many instances of a fighter losing too much weight for a fight. This may very well be another.

Posted September 14, 2013 1:38 am

This pundit says.., “I realized that Canelo doesn’;t have a chance in a million to win this fight.”

Then I assume you’ve put every dollar you can dig up on Mayweather… Since he’s certain to win… Tell us how you did following the fight.

What is with this catch weight nonsense? There are so many weight classes now if someone eats a meal they move up a weight class and if someone takes a crap they move down a weight class.

Posted September 14, 2013 12:55 am

You know what will happen though? When Mayweather wins all his nuthuggers will be ranting about what a fantastic fight he made. Truly great fighters take their opponents as they are. Truly great fighters don’t cheat on their weight, use pain killer injections to help them fight, don’t sucker punch to get a win, and don’t expect opponents to fight at catchweights. Floyd Mayweather Jr. has done all these things. He may get inducted into the Boxing Hall of Fame but when he does a big fat * should go right next to his last name.

“Saul Canelo looked like Vincent van Gogh’s freshly excavated corpse at the weigh in. ”

Nobody to blame but himself and his team, Gonzo. I don’t know what made them think they had to fight at catchweight to get a fight with Floyd. Floyd has to fight him. If not now later. But he has to fight him. Canelo’s team should have known that. They should not have agreed to fight at anything other than 154.

This fight will be closer than Mr. Smith thinks. Not saying Canelo will win but it will be no blow out for Mayweather.

mayweather 86

Nicely put gonzo. Well I said I would hold of on a prediction till the weigh in. Hmmmm. Well here goes. Carlos Molina by ud, mathyesse by tko 9, mayweather by md in a nail bitter. However I will not be shocked if canelo sneaks out a close decision.

Wow, canelo is ready to be had. Mayweather is going go for blood in this fight, I see tko comming.

Gonzo the Dragonborn

Saul Canelo looked like Vincent van Gogh’s freshly excavated corpse at the weigh in. His face was terribly drawn and pallid. He looked deathly ill, like he’d just been released from one of Hitler’s concentration camps for Gingers. Did you see how long he had to sit down for after he’d gingerly (see what I did there?) made his way to the stage in old man steps? He was the only person on there out of seemingly almost hundreds who was sitting on his ass. He was also the only person on there who’d been literally starving themselves for months to get down to a weight his body has no right being at. Coincidence? I think not.

KILLA Canelo has not sold anything remotely close to what PBF does with PPV fights stop making up lies. PBF is why the fight is getting all the glitz and glamer.

Posted September 13, 2013 10:11 pm

Canelo has no respect for Mayweather the fighter. Don’t take it personal. Canelo knows he i s as big as Mayweather selling tickets. Why should he show this guy any respect when they are 24 hrs away from fighting. Canelo has been professional and respectful to Mayweather the professional.

Can’t trust the Brits behind every war!!

Posted September 13, 2013 9:59 pm

is this the same writer who said Canelo was not going to weight. Ok, now suddenly he is a boxing physician. Lol…Ok, listen you bias SOB. When Canelo wins tomorrow don’t have excuses for Mayweather because he us fighting a dehydrated, sick, unable to stand pro fighter. Shame on you! For being so bias.

Posted September 13, 2013 9:55 pm

I will say this however: Canelo did look tired and he had a fatigued look in his eyes. I think having to lose the extra too pounds hurt him. And he did look thin. Not too weak to stand, but thin and tired.

Posted September 13, 2013 9:36 pm

This article tries to expose Canelo as rude or as lacking good manners. We known who is the one that is 1 hour late in the fight promotions.
