Crying Queen, listen to yourself who is more “psychopathic” me or you?? I’m not the guy discussing Gun Play and fist fights on an Internet message board HAHAHA!! You are!! I have you sounding crazed and demented… We offered you a chance to connect at the Broner fight and you RAN while still hiding behind a screen name.. Who are you tough guy? Why the alias if your sooooo BADASS? I’m not angry with you so why would I go to Phoenix or Denver looking for a “cyberpuzzy” named Lion King? Makes NO sense… I enjoy driving you mad with rage and frustration so this is PURE fun for me destroying the psyche of a low level intellect and Bigot…Now tell us how your gonna “do this or that” when no one even knows who you are in the first place absent that trailer park family of yours.. Do they call you “Crying Queen” also?? HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH!

Crying Queen, you really have NEVER been credible and I operate FREE from the bounds of consensus, I respect my own opinion MORE than any other… You are a BADLY failed cyber Thug that discusses “Guns” “Fist Fights” and other Gang Related nonsense when we KNOW you’re a WEAK and pathetic whiner who’s last resort is threats you cannot back up..! You are droning on about the Castillo fight when it’s NOT gonna help young Canelo in 8 short days.. So naturally you are VERY worked up, emotional and anxious in anticipation of Floyd Mayweather doing what he does best… Your arguments are illogical and crude lacking nuance and even the slightest veneer of balance.. You have reeled off 2 or 3 MW fighters that you believe FMJ is obligated to face ir Golovkin and the now decrepit and oft injured Martinez…This is PURE desperation because you cannot believe in the young opponent he is facing in 8 days!!! Another victory and 41.5 mil in his pocket had you sick with envy and worry that the BEST boxer on the planet will retire Undefeated and obscenely rich while you stew in your juices… The day of reckoning is close and I will be there to take a virtual leak on your face after the bout..!

Are you guys screen writers and authors because you guys are writing essays that does not have anything to do with the given topic that are presented to you. Boxing24News presented us as boxing fans on an informational question for the anticipated bout on September 14. The question is will Saul Alvarez be the one to dethrone Floyd Mayweather? I predict the fight will be compeitive but Floyd Mayweather will win by UD.

Squared-Circle Real Talk (a.k.a. The Lion King of Beat Street)

Agree with both Fight Aficionado and Te Tumbo. However, I believe there’s a good chance this could turn out to be a controversial decision. One that FMJ benefits from and causes fans to demand a rematch.

IMO… Canelo would destroy Cotto in brutal career-ending fashion. And like I’ve said before, if Canelo is able to hit FMJ with the same type shots that Cotto did… FMJ is going to take a seat on the canvas — maybe more than once. Knockdowns would likely be scored as 10-8 rounds and at that the point, the scoring could get very close. But I don’t see Canelo getting the nod vs. Floyd in Vegas without a KO/TKO. If it goes to decision, FMJ will get the nod no matter what — even if he gets outboxed and beat up. Real talk.

“FIGHT AFICIONADO? i’m on the same leaky boat as you: i’m rooting for Canelo but expect Mayweather to prevail in a bout that features his elusiveness and timely pot-shotting.” – Tumbo, guess we have virtually the exact same opinion on this. If Canelo can somehow pull off the upset it would be a welcome surprise. But I don’t think Floyd’s slipped enough for that, yet.

Where did I call Mayweather “The GOAT” he is EASILY one of the best to ever do it hence your conundrum…The pain you feel as he wins his fights EASILY and we watch other Greats fall to lessor foes… I think Pacquiao is terrific but Juan Diaz lasted longer with Marquez than Manny did last fight…He went the distance the second time with JMM… Manny was knocked FLAT by a guy Floyd did not let win a ROUND a true humiliation of a GREAT fighter… THAT is a Grandmaster, Mayweather foes cannot even punish him and are baffled and confused post fight as to how they could not get any really CLEAN shots on him while the tagged them with blistering accuracy and wins going away… On the 14th you will DIE inside AGAIN “Crying Queen” and I will be there to enjoy your misery and RUB your busted face in Mayweathers Greatness… I will rejoice!!

How is GGG the “Best 154 pounder in the World” he fights at 160 pounds and is the natural enemy of Chavez Jr if he can still make that weight and Martinez, perhaps the tough Martin Murray…. Floyds a 147 pounder who is taking on some bigger guys for BIG money a nobody like GGG on a relative basis does not rate especially because he is a 160 pounder… Floyd makes ALL the rules, GGG would BANG his Mama to get a fight with the smaller Mayweather because thats where the money is…. “Trying Queen” do you understand the hierarchy in play? it equals Floyd Mayweather then EVERYONE else, he has the throne and scepter do you understand this being the DOG that you are? GGG will long be forgotten and Mayweather will be an enshrined ATG 5 years after retirement having earned more in one fight that Golovkin will in 3 careers… Hes a very good 160 pounder lets see him fight Ward and get dismantled we know how the punchers fare against smooth boxers of comprable size…. This is TRUTH

Squared-Circle Real Talk (a.k.a. The Lion King of Beat Street)

“No ones going to EVER link Martinez and Mayweather who tops out at 147…” NO! Actually, FMJ purposely rides the fence between WW and Jr. MW at about 151lbs. This enables him to cherry-pick fights from both divisions without ever totally dominating and unifying one division. Why can’t FMJ even unify all the major titles at WW if he’s the GOAT or “greatest of his era?” Because he avoids WWs like PacMan and Bradley.

If FMJ gets by Canelo and takes his 154lbs titles, he will own most of the major titles at that weight-class and will still be considered the #1 Jr. MW in the world. At that point, he damn well better be willing to defend all those titles vs. LEGIT Jr. MWs. And that means fighting guys like Lara and 3G. Maravilla wanted to fight FMJ at 154lbs for years, but he didn’t want any part of Sergio. And similarly, 3G is small MW who can easily make 154lbs.

If FMJ wants to call himself the best Jr. MW in the world, he better be willing to fight 3G. Refusing to fight the very best will be considered more evidence of cherry-picking. And vacating all those 154lbs titles/straps, as opposed to defending them, will be perceived as a MAJOR act of cowardice by REAL boxing fans.

GGG is a guy who’s doing some real work in his division but like all guys looking for a payday he’s begging Floyd Mayweather… Tell him to get on line and then tell him to go fight a bigger boxer like Froch or Ward… Dreams of getting a smart, Older boxer like Floyd in the ring with guys 2 divisions above him are not gonna happen.. The guys a 5 weight Champ, been there done that…Guys making a MIN of 41.5 mill to spank Canelo likely 55-60 mill when the smoke clears…He will make more than GGG will in a career during ONE fight… Lackeys and Mayweather wannabes are gonna have to build their names organically..

Posted September 5, 2013 7:57 am

No ones going to EVER link Martinez and Mayweather who tops out at 147… Sergio is gonna be remembered as a fine MW Champ who fought the available comp and had an impressive run before Old Age caught up… Pretending he and FMJ were natural enemies is more of the WORN out tactic of trying to sic a BIGGER boxer on him in the hopes he can be overwhelmed… He’s giving you a guy who will be PLENTY bigger fight night, 14 years younger, undefeated and Unified Champ at 154 soooooooo what’s the problem?? Well lemme break it down, against a lessor fighter Canelo should be feeling pretty pleased.. He had no problems pounding and OLD Shane Mosley on a losing streak… BUT FMJ ain’t the man formerly known as Sugar Shane and this the ESB Cretins would rather begin peddling their excuses as opposed to being REAL MEN and standing by their notions that Canelos the answer to their prayers.. Reality is that Canelos going to school and it won’t be pretty stay tuned..

what’s up FIGHT AFICIONADO? i’m on the same leaky boat as you: i’m rooting for Canelo but expect Mayweather to prevail in a bout that features his elusiveness and timely pot-shotting. Floyd’s too smart to engage and will seek to frustrate Canelo in a contest of ring-craft and mental fortitude. Canelo will be a university sophomore checking into a PhD course in pugilism taught by Dr. Floyd Mayweather. Canelo has a legitimate shot like any wunderkind but if he’s not the boxing prodigy that some claim he is, he’ll need some intangible factors to swing in his favor to overcome the Mayweather threshold, e.g., age- or weight-related slippage. Boxing is the Theater of the Unexpected and a Canelo win would be just that: Unexpected but appreciated.

Public E claiming he wants Saul to win., “I always root for the underdog”

LIAR.., You’re saying that for cover. You would love for Floyd beat the living life out of Canelo, rip his face to shreds, and knock him out in 5 rounds.

Then you would be in your glory – posting up a storm along with all the other Canelo haters. You’d be up for days and nights partying and laughing your ass off … and your friends would all get sick of you talking about the fight.

That OK… because Canelo isn’t the inept, green, Ricky Hatton clone, clueless chump you make him out to be … Floyd has a super tough 12-round battle on his hands — with a young, tough, powerful kid who can box and punch.

square-circle – I would love to see Canelo put Floyd on his ass and win not because I dislike Floyd or like Canelo but because Canelo is the underdog and Floyd the favorite. I always root for the underdog.. but the reality is that I just don’t see Canelo being able to beat Mayweather based on what I’ve seen him do in the ring. He has not really beaten anyone that was a top unbeaten anything in the top 5 convincingly. Without his weight advantage he is very beatable..

His fake record also was started when he was 13 years old.. LOL just go to BoxRec and check for yourself.. it’s just another Bogus Stat for Canelo.. He’s only had like 15 real fights and those too were against low skilled smaller opponents. the only few fights he had against known guys were aganst older smaller shot opponents.

Red hair and freckles won’t help you beat an undefeated 171-pound slick southpaw like Austin Trout—who just came off a fight where he gave a comprehensive boxing lesson to ATG Miguel Cotto.

Red hair and freckles doesn’t make anyone undefeated in 43 fights and the top 154-pound boxer on the planet. Grow a brain.

Canelo is not the push over some people think…..If he has done his home work and keeps a cool head and doesn’t keep going for head shots, like a lot of Floyds past opponents he could turn this fight. You have got to be real lucky to get lucky with Floyd, but it’s been done before with other greats….The big problem is Floyd don’t need no luck to catch Canelo, his talent is enough……Young and frustrated go together and that’s what Floyd will hand him, in spades, plenty of frustration….Rather than chase Floyd I’d prefer to see him walk him down, then pick up the pace in the later part off the fight and in-between lots of body shots….

Posted September 4, 2013 5:17 am

Steve w

All this talk about blueprint and how to beat mayweather………what rubbish…..canelo is different to any fighter floyd has faced……he’s not over hill….. He has not jumped up 2 weights…..he’s not battle scarred……..he has heart…..he can punch and throw fast combinations………plus he has patience which could be the factor in this fight because floyd will make a mistake but unlike the other fighters who lose there gameplan and headhunt and throw wildly this kid can place his shots well……..one thing canelo needs to do is improve foot speed……if he has done this then floyd is in for a very tough night…….

Jim Rich.., “Canelo’s like a deer in the headlights AKA…Pavlik”

Pavlik was a drunk.. He got rich and he wouldn’t train.. Probably the last fight he worked his ass off was the 1st Taylor fight.. Canelo just doesn’t abuse drugs, alcohol, or have other major problems.. He screws around a little. He has a young daughter out-of-wedlock. Nothing major like Pavlik, who kept falling off the rails.

Canelo doesn’t freeze on the road with a car coming. He’s the hunter after the deer. Mayweather in the prey. Sometimes the fox outsmarts the hound. Sometimes the hound runs down the fox and kills him.

Canelo is no GGG… But if he gets Floyd cornered he can hurt him.

Posted September 4, 2013 1:50 am

Jim Rich

Canelo can’t even get off when he has a fighter moving in front of him, he’s like a deer in the headlights AKA…Pavlik when he faught hopkins. Whenever Floyd stops moving he will just cover up or tie up or roll with punches, when floyd moves canelo will be hitting air or just won’t get off. This fight is easy for floyd if box and moves. Floyd keeps this in the center of the ring canelo is going to get frustrated and tired. I wouldn’t be surprised see mayweather take out canelo like he nailed hatton in the late rounds. Canelo youth are all thats going keep him from getting KO’d because at the end of the fight he will have shades on cause his eyes will almost be swelled shut. This fight isn’t going to be close. When floyd takes a round off here or there are the rounds Canelo will be winning. Canelo going to have to have a golden horseshoe up his ars to win this one. Canelo is young and hungry but he isn’t a fool, when he starts getting countered often and feels mayweather sting he will go into a shell and just try to see the final bell to save face. Canelo confidence will go away after the first few rounds when he realizes he’s over his head. I felt sorry for pavlik when hopkins was spanking him, canelo going to get spanked in this one, mayweather will punish him.

Exactly! A soon as FMJ feels Canelo’s power is when the track meet will begin. He’ll be running all over the ring and when Canelo gets in close he’ll tie him up, hold, clinch and fight dirty — B-Hop style.

Even if Canelo clearly wins the fight, he’ll get robbed on the cards anyway. So CA has KO/TKO FMJ in order to win in Vegas. Too bad this fight isn’t being held in Mexico City.

Castillo won the first fight with Floyd, from what I saw. But I kinda remember Floyd fighting the same fight in their 2nd match. (Back to the ropes) In the 2nd match he was able to making Castillo miss & make him pay, so the swarming technique didn’t work for Castillo a second time. Makes the shoulder injury claim seem more plausible. 2nd match Floyd won easily!! Maybe I gotta watch it again?

Yes, it’s TRUE that FMJ lost to Castillo in their first fight, but he received a gift-wrapped decision.

“Compubox statistics indicated that Castillo landed MORE punches overall and significantly MORE power shots over the course of the fight. At the end of the fight, Harold Lederman’s official scorecard had Castillo winning 115–111.”

Yes….the answer is hell yes. Saul has all the physical tools necessary to beat Floyd, but the most important assets to carry him through this fight is his mental toughness and will to win. Those two things will allow him to make adustment needed throughout the fight to get the desired result…a win. Floyds true grit will be tested and we will see which of Floyd’s natural insticts will take over…willl it be fight….or flight.

Canelo needs to keep the pressure and attack the body and use his jab . That will be the key to Canelo winning the fight .
