Welterweight prospect Leti Leti makes his North American debut tonight in Colorado

Sensational welterweight prospect Leti Leti makes his North American debut this Saturday night, January 8th at the ROCKY MOUTAIN RUMBLE at the Island Grove Park Exhibit Hall in Greeley, Colorado. An outstanding amateur in New Zealand and Samoa where he won numerous national titles, the 23 year old Leti has been based in Las Vegas for the past five months under the tutelage of renowned trainer Kenny Adams. In November, he was one of the main sparring partners for Marcos Maidana as he prepared for his world title challenge with Amir Khan..

Leti has quickly impressed New Zealand fight fans with sensational displays of his power in his first two bouts, both ending in early knockouts.

On January 31, 2010, Leti made his pro debut in style knocking out Aaron Bartlett in the first round at the ABA Stadium in Auckland, New Zealand. He followed that up on April 13th with a second round stoppage of Paz Viejo in Otara, New Zealand.

On Saturday night, Leti will face off against Colorado based newcomer Carlos Marquez. Making his pro debut, Marquez, 1-0-0 (1KO), claimed a second round knockout over Anthony Gutierrez on May 21, 2010 in Fort Lupton, Colorado.

In addition to former world title challenger Edner “Cherry Bomb” Cherry, local fan favorites appearing at the ROCKY MOUNTAIN RUMBLE include undefeated featherweight prospect Robert Rodriguez, hard hitting welterweight prospect Raul “El Chino” Carrillo, junior middleweight Ryan Grimaldo, bantamweight Shawn Nichol and junior welterweight Terry Buterbaugh.
