News: Ring Life Presents James Kirkland; Rodriguez/Alvarez Undercard Announced

At 24, Texas native James Kirkland is quickly showing the boxing world that he’s a force to be reckoned with. With the help of his trainer, former two-division female world champion, Ann Wolfe, Kirkland has amassed an unblemished professional record of 24-0 (21 KOs) and now has his eyes squarely set on the title belts of the junior middleweight division..

James Kirkland is scheduled to fight on the March 7th edition of HBO’s Boxing After Dark tripleheader from San Jose, CA as he meets hard-punching junior middleweight Joel Julio of Columbia in a highly anticipated showdown.

Rodriguez/Alvarez Undercard

Bronx, NY – On March 6th at the beautiful Mohegan Sun Resort and Casino, Joe DeGuardia’s Star Boxing will put on an exciting six bout card, headlined by a sizzling showdown between Star Boxing promoted welterweights Delvin Rodriguez (23-2-2, 14KO) and Shamone “The Truth” Alvarez (20-1, 11KO). At stake will be Rodriguez’s USBA welterweight championship

Lynn, Massachusetts jr. welterweight prospect Simeon Dunwell (8-0, 2KO) will look to keep is undefeated record in tact when he takes on veteran Shakha Moore (10-13-3, 2KO). Moore who resides in nearby Norwalk, CT will look to use his hometown support to pull of the upset against the fast rising Dunwell. The bout is scheduled for six rounds.

Philadelphia, Pennsylvania’s Frank Trader (2- 0) will look to continue where he left off in 2008 when he takes on Worcester, Massachusetts Edwin Rosado (1-4). The bout is scheduled for four rounds in the super featherweight division.

Rounding out the card will be Byfield, Massachusetts own Derrick Silviera (1-0, 1KO) taking on Ontario’s Chris Aucoin (1-1-1) in a four round jr. middleweight contest.
