Diego Magdaleno (28-2, 12 KO) ran into a buzz saw tonight in the form of WBO lightweight champion Terry Flanagan (29-0, 12 KOs), who completely destroyed the 28-year-old Magdaleno in 2 rounds at the Manchester Arena in Manchester, UK. Before the mismatch was over, Magdaleno had been knocked down three times by Flanagan.
The fight wasn’t stopped until referee Terry O’Connor mercifully stopped in to halt the fight at 2:38 of the round due to Magdaleno being on the verge of getting seriously hurt.
WBO World Middleweight Champion Andy Lee and challenger Billy Joe Saunders will finally collide at the Manchester Arena on Saturday 19th December in a Christmas extravaganza.

The Golden Boy promoted Linares – who resides in Japan – has said he is relishing the opportunity to box in front of his home fans and has promised that after he beats Cano tonight, he will continue to dominate at 135 lbs for some time to come.
Tonight at the Pharr Texas convention center Raul El Tigre Casarez returns to the ring after a 1.5 years absence. The 29 year old Edinburg Texas native returns in a middleweight fight taking on up-and-comer Omar Rojas in his comeback fight, as the co-main event.

IBF super-middleweight champion, James DeGale, is relishing the task of beating former champion Lucien Bute in his Canadian backyard on November 28, claiming that when he does so he wants the big names in the division next.
DeGale, newly signed to Al Haymon and coming off of his triumphant title win over Andre Dirrell in Boston back in May, is venturing out of the UK once again to fight the 35 year old Bute, who was knocked out by Carl Froch back in 2012 and is fighting to save his career against the Beijing 2008 gold medalist.
While Pacquiao’s possible impending retirement is a hot topic in boxing, his next opponent is also of much interest. Since it is assumed that Pacquiao doesn’t have much time left in the sport of boxing, although it is hard to say when he will actually hang em’ up, boxing fans are hopeful for a few good fights.
In a recent interview Manny threw a bit of a curve-ball, mentioning that camp Pacquiao is not only talking to camp Khan about a possible bout, but is also apparently negotiating with recently retired Mayweather Jr.
