Former world amateur champion Conlan moved to 5-0 (4KOs) as a pro with a comprehensive six-round points win over Argentina’s Luis Fernando Molina at Madison Square Garden’s Theater.

IBF World featherweight champion Lee Selby (26-1, 9 KOs) retained his title tonight with a one-sided 12 round unanimous decision over the much younger 24-year-old Eduardo Ramirez (20-1-3, 7 KOs) on Saturday night at the Copper Box Arena in London, England.

The final scores were 118-110, 119-109 and 115-112. Boxing 247 had Selby winning 9 rounds to 3. Ramirez fought well in rounds 3, 9 and 11.

WBO super featherweight champion Vasyl Lomachenko (10-1, 8 KOs) defeated previously unbeaten Guillermo Rigondeaux (17-1, 11 KOs) by a 6th round injury stoppage on Saturday night in their long awaited match on ESPN at Madison Square Garden in New York.

Lomachenko looked at least 20 pounds heavier than Rigondeaux. There was no way Rigondeaux was going to win the fight based on Lomachenko’s size advantage.

Friday, December 8, 2017, a young talented prospect was out-boxed by a world-class veteran of the sport as Ahmed Elibiali (16-1-0, 13 KOs) fell to Jean Pascal (32-5-1, 19 KOs) in the sixth round of a scheduled ten-round bout at the Hialeah Park Casino in Hialeah, FL. The event was televised on FS1.

Elbiali, an Egyptian-born Miami local, entered the ring wearing blue shorts with white trim and red gloves. Pascal, a Haitian-born Canadian resident, fought in all black trunks and shiny gold boxing gloves. Both fighters were received warmly by the South Florida audience and touched gloves professionally.
