Prospect Watch: Jack Catterall

He is currently one of British boxing’s brightest young up and coming stars, having launched his career to the next level by stopping former Team GB Olympic captain Tom Stalker in 8 rounds last October in Liverpool – and on Saturday night, Chorley’s 22 year old light welterweight Jack Catterall (11-0, 7 ko) looks for his 12th straight professional win when he fights Gabriel Punalef Calpin on the undercard of Terry Flanagan’s world title clash with Jose Zepeda in Manchester.

The talented young fighter was recently selected to join Floyd Mayweather’s camp to provide some southpaw sparring ahead of Floyd’s fight with Manny Pacquiao, and away from the bright lights of Vegas, with his feet back on British soil, Catterall is determined to keep the momentum going with a strong showing on Saturday.
