A rematch between Dereck Chisora (19-4, 13 KO’s) and Tyson Fury (21-0, 15 KO’s) is being talked about for June of this year in a potential heavyweight title eliminator bout, according to Chisora’s promoter Frank Warren. He’s interested in setting up a second fight between Chisora and Fury and putting it in a large football stadium for the Summer, provided that both of them win their perspective fights on February 15th at the Copper Box Arena in London, UK.
Both guys are fighting on the card in separate fights. For Fury, it’s probably not a big deal, because he’s expected to be matched softly against a weak opponent in a tune-up bout to get some of the cobwebs off after sitting idle for 8 months in trying to get fights against David Haye.
Former three division world champion Robert “The Ghost” Guerrero (31-2-1, 18 KO’s) has gone quiet after getting a big payday fight against Floyd Mayweather Jr. last year in May. Guerrero worked hard to get the fight with Floyd by constantly calling him out in the media for well over a year, and beating Selcuk Aydin and Andre Berto by 12 round decisions. But since the fight with Mayweather, Guerrero has stayed out of the ring and hasn’t scheduled any fights. 
Floyd Mayweather Jr. says that rumors of him supposedly fighting Manny Pacquiao in September or nothing more than a lie. He has no plans in fighting Pacquiao. The rumors have also been dismissed by Pacquiao’s personal adviser Michael Koncz as being false. It would seem that some site jumped the gun and decided to come up with news of the Mayweather-Pacquiao mega fight without fact. 
WBA middleweight champion Gennady Golovkin believes that Amir Khan (28-3, 19 KO’s), who has lost 2 out of his last 4 fights, will give Floyd Mayweather Jr. (45-0, 26 KO’s) a lot of problems with his talent, and he feels this is a good fight for business. Golovkin thinks Mayweather will struggle with Khan for some reason, and he’s very interested in seeing this fight. And what’s interesting is that Golovkin thinks the boxing public will want to see Mayweather fight Khan. 
Former WBC light heavyweight champion Jean Pascal feels that WBO 175 lb. champion Sergey Kovalev (23-0-1, 21 KO’s) should be seen as an untested fighter until he beats an actual world champion to prove himself. To Pascal, he doesn’t know how good Kovalev is because he’s never been in with an opponent to where he could evaluate his talent level. Right now Pascal sees Kovalev as still having a question mark over his head about how good he is until he faces his first test at light heavyweight.
If George Groves (19-1, 15 KO’s) can’t get IBF/WBA super middleweight champion Carl Froch to give him a rematch, WBA super middleweight champion Andre Ward (27-0, 14 KO’s) says he’d be interested in giving Groves a chance at winning his belt. Ward liked what he saw of Groves in his loss last month to Froch in Manchester, UK, and he thinks Groves deserves a title shot. 
Former WBC welterweight champion Victor Ortiz (29-4-2, 22 KO’s) is expecting big things if he can get past 32-year-old former WBA World welterweight champion Luis Collazo (34-5, 17 KO’s) next month in their scheduled 10 round fight on January 30th at the Barclays Center, in Brooklyn, New York, USA. 
Not surprisingly the World Boxing Council has given WBC heavyweight champion Vitali Klitschko (45-2, 41 KO’s) another delay, this one until December 15th, to make a decision about whether he’ll choose to defend his WBC crown ever again. The thing is the WBC already gave Vitali a November 30th extension to make a decision about whether he’ll fight again or not, and when that time came, Vitali got another extension. 
Trainer Freddie Roach thinks Manny Pacquiao (55-5-2, 38 KO’s) has found the fountain of youth following his incredibly easy win over one of Bob Arum’s Top Rank fighters former WBA lightweight champion Brandon Rios (31-2-1, 23 KO’s) last Saturday night in Macao, China. The win, a one-sided 12 round unanimous decision by Pacquiao, was enough to convince Roach that Pacquiao is as good as he’s ever been and able to fight for three more years before he should hang up the gloves. 
Vyacheslav Glazkov (16-0, 11 KO’s) defeated the shorter replacement opponent Garrett Wilson (13-7-1, 6 KO’s) by a 10 round unanimous decision that was a little more competitive than the scores suggested on Saturday at the Turning Stone Resort & Casino, in Verona, New York, USA. Wilson, a cruiserweight that was picked out to replace heavyweight Tomasz Adamek, seemed to energize the Verona crowd with huge heart in trying to win against a much bigger fighter than him in Glazkov. The judges scored the fight 97-93, 98-92, 99-91.
