Gabriel Duluc Headlines Boxing Event at the Dorchester Armory tonight
Light welterweight, Gabriel Duluc (8-1, 1KO) will look to get 2014 off to a good start as he headlines the main event at the Dorchester Armory in Dorchester, Massachusetts this Saturday, April 26th in a six round bout against experienced veteran, Josh “Steamin” Beeman (5-15, 2KOs).
Duluc suffered an extremely controversial loss in his last outing against Jonathan Perez. He was knockdown at the end of the first round but was up well before the ten count ended and ready to fight, yet referee, Leo Gerstel stopped the bout, giving Perez the technical knockout victory and handed Duluc his first professional loss.

Pacquiao is back as he beats Bradley
Many boxing fans were calling for Manny “Pac Man” Pacquiao to retire since he was 35 years old and coming off two losses in his last three bouts, yet he proved a great deal of them wrong as he demonstrated that he`s still one of the best fighters in the world in defeating, top ten pound for pound boxer, Timothy “Desert Storm” Bradley, en route to a twelve round unanimous decision. His speed, power and aggressiveness was too much for Bradley, especially in the last six rounds of this matchup.
Thankfully, this time the judges correctly score the bout for Pacquiao, giving him two scorecards of 116-112 and one scorecard 118-110, as opposed to their first encounter, where the Pac Man destroyed Bradley, yet ended up on the wrong end of the one of the worst decisions boxing has seen in a long time.
Chatman Defeats Brewer
Photo courtesy of Chris Chatman — Chris Chatman dedicated his middleweight fight against Grady “Bad Boy” Brewer to his grandmother and late manager, Mark Dion, who both died this week and he did them both proud as he beat Brewer in a nonstop action packed bout, as he took over the fight after the fourth round, en route to a eight round unanimous decision victory with three scorecards, 79-73, 80-72 and 79- 73.
“My last fight against Jarrett Hurd was a robbery, so I wanted to come out and dominate this bout, which I did and to make sure that I didn`t have another bad loss, especially in my Classic Entertainment and Sports (CES) debut,” said Chatman. “Brewer is an extremely tricky fighter, so I didn`t press for a knockout, which I wanted, because he has couple of victories with late knockouts.”
Traietti and McLaughlin KO their opponents
Iraq War Veteran, Chris Traietti landed a devastating right hook at Bryan Dailey who went down quickly and was unable to beat the ten count as the referee stopped the bout at 1:43 in the first round of this scheduled six round cruiserweight bout, giving Traietti the knockout victory.
These fights were presented by Big Six Entertainment at the Royale Night Club in Boston, Massachusetts.
“Dailey is a big strong fighter who throws a lot of punches but has a porous defense, so I allowed him to come after me and patiently waited for a perfect opening and when I saw it, I went after it and knocked him out quickly,” said Traietti. “I was pleased with my performance.”
Johnson KOs Velasquez to Keep His Comeback Alive
Former three time world champion, Glen “Road Warrior” Johnson once again went on the road to his opponents` backyard and fought on only two weeks notice, as he dominated Velasquez before he turned up his offensive prowess in the fourth round and punished him before a powerful overhand right sent Velasquez to the ropes, promoting his trainer, Roland Estrada to stop the bout at 1:59 in the round, giving Johnson the technical knockout victory.

“I wasn`t please with my performance because my timing was off and I wasn`t as sharp as I wanted because I didn`t have any sparring for this bout; however, I demonstrated good defense and power and more importantly I obtained the victory,” said Johnson.”
Interview – Ivan Redkach: A 2014 Lightweight Contender
One of the best up and coming contenders of 2014 is undefeated Ukraine Lightweight, Ivan “The Terrible” Redkach (15-0, 13KOs, 1 NC) who has knockout 87 percent of his opponents and is ranked number 13 by the World Boxing Council.

Shumenov: I want to be the Undisputed Light Heavyweight Champion in 2014
Beibut Shumenov, the reigning Light Heavyweight World Boxing Association and the International Boxing Association`s Light Heavyweight Champion and fastest pugilist to obtain a world title in this division in ten bouts; made a triumph return to boxing after being out of the sport for the last 18 months, as he knockdown, previously undefeated, Tamas “Tomi Kid” Kovacs (23-1, 14KOs), three times before referee, Rafael Ramos stopped the bout with 2:55 left in the third round on December 14, 2013 at the Alamodome in San Antonio, Texas.
He dropped Kovacs with a powerful left hook in the first round, knocked him down with a perfectly timed uppercut in the second round and landed numerous hard hitting punches at Kovacs, who was defenseless in the third round, which caused Kovacs to fall to the canvas again as Ramos, quickly halted the action. This ended a one sided fight that Shumenov dominated and demonstrated that he had little ring rust, despite not fighting in almost a year and a half.
Maidana Shocked the Boxing World with an Upset Victory over Broner
Marcos “El Chino” Maidana shook up the boxing world as he upset, Adrien “The Problem” Broner over twelve dominating rounds in which he scored two knockdowns and in the process became the new World Boxing Association Champion with an unanimous decision victory by three scorecards of 115-110, 116-109 and 117-109. This competitive and really interesting welterweight bout, which could be considered the upset of the year, was held at the Alamadome in San Antonio, Texas and was televised on Showtime.
The 30 year old, Maidana from Argentina, improved his record to 35-3, 31KOs and won his fourth consecutive bout. He won a world title in his third attempt, after trying unsuccessfully to do so against, Adriy Kotelnik and Amir Khan. Broner from Cincinnati, Ohio suffered his first professional loss and dropped his record to 27-1, 22KOs.
