Great fight. Nonito moves up in p4p rankings if he wins (especially if he ko’s rigo)

Rigondeaux is not nearly as vetted as a pro he simply does not have the explosiveness that Donaire routinely displays, this is gonna be a case of a guy getting clipped…

Donaire by stoppage. Too much power for Rigo, he’s used to wearing headgear.

I love the fight and believe it will be a tough one… Rigondeaux is the best amateur fighter I’ve even seen going back to Sugar Ray Robinson… He’s a great pro too, but I believe Donaire still has the edge on him… Donaire fought a few weird fights but got back on track in his last 2 fights, especially against Nishioka, where he boxed and punched brilliantly. Nonito’s hands showed some brittleness against Nishioka and that’s the only thing that could derail him. Andre Ward had to postpone or kill a couple of fights due to injury and fractured a hand in mulitple places in his Froch fight … They use the same nutrition “expert” as Berto, who also had fights postponed, so that poses a question.

Nonito by brutal stoppage in the 4th if Rigo doesn’t run.

Rigo is a one handed Fighter facing a two handed Fighter. He’s also a #0 P4P Fighter facing a Top 5 P4P Fighter. Donaire will WIN by stoppage or decision.

Hecdog- I used to be 100% with you, but Rigo did get hit and hurt twice last time out and, although I’m sure he was not as motivated as he is for this one, if he gets hurt by Donaire, he will be taken out. Donaire said Nishioda (I hope I’m spelling this right) was his toughest fight and Rigo is a purer boxer with better skills, but he’ll get caught once, how he reacts will determine the fight.

terror tim

This is a great fight that many of us had wanted to see. Many of us have pined for either Rigo or Mares. I think Rigo won’t deal with the lateral movement of Donaire who is great with his feet at turning his opponent. Rigo has plenty of amateur experience but we all know amateur and pro boxing are two entirely different kinds of matches. I think Donaire gets a stoppage sometime after the 8th.

The only boxer in Donaire’s weight range that can give Nonito a good fight is Chris John of Indonesia. The rest are just target practice. Donaire by a brutal stoppage in the middle rounds, sooner if the cuban does not run around.

Fight Aficionado

Great to see HBO giving this bout the prefight hype it deserves. Donaire vs Rigo is a legit Superfight for the lower weight divisions. Much bigger than the other so-called Superfights that have been scheduled to date in 2013.

It’s Me, Ernie

Get rid of that little creepy dude Nonito…

He can fight guys that have only one gear I meant.

Rigondeaux will out box, out slick and win a very decisive UD over Donaire. Donaire has the physical size advantage and has plenty of power, but boxing is much more than those two components. Rigondeaux has the perfect style, speed, and legs to make Donaire look awkward and clumsy, which he will. Donaire will also get dropped early in the fight. Rigondeaux has Wilfredo Benitez and Pernel Whitaker type defense. His amateur background is unmatched, and if you think the elite amateur background makes no difference, you’l find out just how valuable it is. I’ve seen Donaire in fights where he gets hit a lot. He can’t fight guys that have only one gear, and can’t think in the ring. Rigondeaux can do it all. People, many people will be surprised at the outcome. Donaire has become over confident is power happy. He’ll get frustrated as the fight goes on, and will be picked apart. trust me on this one.

Tickets in hand for this one!
It really comes down to wether Rigo can take Donaire’s punch or not.

Not a chance Donaire is going to loose this one. You may not be a fan of his, call him names or hate him, but he’s good and serious about his boxing career. He’s going to win by an eight-round ko.

This fight is going to be an ANTI-CLIMAX, Donaire is going to ring Rigondeaux’s bell then is gonna be like “What”
