@nicolas…. Ward dominated the Froch fight with a broken hand, and you should know as well as anyone that the scores of 2 of the officials were bogus. That likely wouldn’t have happened in England because there would have been better scrutiny of the judges’ impartiality and competence. We have a hard time with that here. Ward dominated Kessler at a time when he had only 20 fights and Kessler had over 40 fights. I don’t want to revisit those fights, but Froch beat Kessler the first time so I’m glad he finally got a rematch.

It’s time for some new blood for Ward, and that’s Stieglitz, Rodriguez, and Golovkin.

I know nothing about Stieglitz and didn’t see the fight, but that’s impressive being that none of the greats in the Super 6 tournament were able to bust up Abraham. Outbox him sure, but bust him up – no.

Swedish Boxing Fan

Arthur Abraham is A LOT BETTER then Felix Sturm and I am not a fan of both men but Abraham gave at least deserved respect. Sturm was all the years the paper champion so Abraham would take that clown out. How can any one say the opposite between them? Sturm did not wan’t anuthing to do with Abraham and finaly Abraham moved up to super middleweight becouse he could not get the best fights at Middleweight.

Stieglitz is a good fighter, ready to see him mix it up with the big names

Unbiased Dane

nicolas : During the fight Helenius complained to his trainer about his right hand hurt every time he used it. Helenius also said he had this problem when sparring. It seems like he has a very long way to top level.

Helenius has sure lost what appeared to be his punching power that he once seemed to be able to call upon. Could it be this injury he may have suffered?

Dan Raphael I thought made a which I don’t agree with that he would be interested in seeing Ward-Stieglitz over a Froch or Kessler against Ward. I disagree with him on that. Of course, I would want to see Ward go fight those men in their respective countries. Sadly, instead of being an Internatonal star, Ward seems to be more interested in fighting men before half empty arenas, ant have to risk a loss in a foreign country that he or all of us might feel is not justified. Yet, if he did fight those men in their countires, at least he would be fighting before full crowds. I did wonder if Ward had fought Froch in England instead of Atalantic City, if that fight might have ended up a draw, due to the two 7-5 scores of their fight. Ward is a great boxer, don’t get me wrong, he may in fact be the real pound for pound best. When he comes back to fight from his surgery, it will be interesting.
