Early on I felt sure that Lee was going on to great things in the sport. Unfortunately, that just wasn’t in the cards, but I guess that’s life and I certainly wish him well.

Lee needs to add some bulk to his frame. But overall I respect Macklin more..a real tough guy.Lee seems to look for the big money fights while being very carefull.Where Macklin is a more old school type of guy who would fight anybody anytime.

Sadly I don’t think this fight will happen in Ireland. The general public in Ireland don’t follow boxing much. The Coverage ( or lack there of) of the pro fighters is disgraceful. From RTE in particular. They would fill the national stadiam or U.L. but nowhere bigger and it deserves a big venue. New York is their best bet.

“specific strength training” means they juice him up now?

Well he had to call out somebody. He SURE as hell couldn’t call out Chavez Jr. again.

Good fight make it happen. I’d also love to see Macklin vs. Barker, Maclkin vs. Murray or Murray vs. Barker.

I believe Macklin would defeat Lee.

Macklin doesnt need Lee. He’s a giant MW and should look to move to SMW where an aging Froch and Kessler and a pair of inactive Detroit brothers are the future. Both he and Chavez Jr would really take that division over and it’s there for the taking since both Bute and Ward seem poised to further their careers north of 168.

Mac the Knife would carve Lee up.

I think this is A good fight for lee. I hope his new camp helps him out, it seems he has trouble taking direction/ trusting his seconds. you can’t be the horse and the jockey, he needs to let his corner do their job and take their advice so that he can effectively adjust midfight. honestly, if he can’t listen to steward when he’s practically begging him to stick to a gameplan, I don’t really know who could get through to him.

It’s Me, Ernie

Funny Lee is blaming his lack of success to the old school way of training at the Kronk. After all, it has had the most feared stable of fighters the world over many times.
