Alien, you must have been on another planet when Pacquiao fought Marquez if you think Pacquiao won. Why can’t you people just accept reality? Marquez is clearly the better fighter and won all their fights. Biased people like you make me sick!!!

Oh sure, talk, talk, talk! That’s we’ve been getting for two years without any action!

Posted August 15, 2012 12:11 am

Old news revisited, Bob must be bored.
Two years too late, I’ve lost interest, especially after PACMAN got robbed vs Sadly Bradley and the Arum judges.

Alien Comes In Peace

For Pacquioa-Bradley last fight, surely Bob Arum betrayed Manny Pacquioa by betting under-the-table for Bradley and then hired the three crooked judges to do the job. Look for happy Arum was when he congratulated Bradley after the fight. Crooked judges and Bob Arum! What a corruption that was.

Alien Comes In Peace

Al Hayman (Mayweather’s manager and advisor) and Floyd Mayweather themseves don’t want to fight Manny Pacquioa. That’s why they always come up with crazy and nonsense excuses, one after another. And they will come up with another one soon. Mark my words. Period.

Alien Comes In Peace

King and Congressman Manny Pacquioa should and must fight Bradley next, not for money but glory and revenge. Then he should fight Marquez in May, 2013 and beat Marquez for the third time (the Alien from the sky saw how Pacquioa beat Marquez twice already). And then fight Mayweather in November,, 2013 if Mayweather grows more courage and confidence. But for the past three years, Mayweather’s confidence has NOT grown a bit.

Posted August 10, 2012 12:38 pm

Manny should forget fighting in November and kick his training into high gear for an early 2013 match with Floyd. No way he can campaign for politics and train at the same time. Greedy Arum is the stumbling block as he will likely want to squeeze Manny for all the fights/ cash he can get.

Alien Comes In Peace

People keep forgetting that there are two main factors that have prevented this Pacquiao-Mayweather fight from happening: 1) Al Hayman, the manager and advisor of Mayweather, is a big businessman and he doesn’t want to risk Mayweather’s loss to dangerous Manny Pacquioa; he wants to pick only rotten cherries and sell to those hardcore cherry eaters (you know what the Alien means); he wants to milk Mayweather out. 2) Mayweather, himself, knows that he has problems with southpaws (lost to three southpaws in his amateur fights and also had problem with southpaws Castillo and Zab Judah) because his Right shoulder rolls defending against southpaws are vulnerable, very vulnerable (watch again how open Mayweather’s right chin on the robe and how easily Cotto could land with his left hand against Mayweather). Thus, Mayweather knows so well that Pacquioa is the most dangerous southpaw man on planet earth that will defeat him and even knock him out looking straight from the canvas to the ceilings of the arena. Come in Peace!

Posted August 10, 2012 12:27 pm

if Paquiao has a rematch with Cotto, the only difference will be that Paquiao knocks him out even sooner then he did the first time around. Cotto has slipped even farther then Manny or Floyd. that is why Floyd fought him. regardless of the weight too.

unfortunately, neither fighter is at their peak condition any longer. both fighters are showing signs of the time this fight ever happens,if it ever happens neither fighter will be able to claim that they have beaten the best version of the other fighter.too little too late

Posted August 10, 2012 11:41 am

i have been telling you fools all along arum will not let pac fight his doom pretty boy floyd until he has milked every dime he can out of pac

Posted August 10, 2012 9:34 am

Funny thing everyone said Floyd was scared when he requested the TEST, now its becoming the norm all of a sudden. Makes one think, perhaps all these boxers are scared.

Unfortunately, these promoters make big mistakes when they drag out mega-fights for too long, like we saw in the gamboa-lopez mega-fight which was spoiled by Salido. The same thing has happened to pac vs may. That fight no longer captures the popular imagination since pac’s declining performances and loss to Bradley. When the fight eventually takes place the result wont be considered legitimate as both fighters (in particular pac) will be past their primes.
Financially, it made sense to delay the mega-fight by pitting pacman against other less dangerous opponents, waiting until the end of his career to fight floyd (likely to be early or mid 2013).
It’s unclear whether Arum would benefit from Pac fighting Bradley in a rematch. If Pacman loses the rematch then the Mayweather fight is finished, but on the other hand Arum would profit more from Bradley’s branding in the future. It’s more likely that Pac would win on points in a less-than-stellar performance which would damage Bradley’s career, and add no shine to the Mayweather megafight. Put Pac in with cotto or marquez and he could very well be defeated, unless cotto agrees to fight at a debilitating catchweight.
Pac should probably rest for the remainder of the year and wait for the Mayweather showdown. Meanwhile, Bradley vs Marquez or Cotto would be excellent fights.

And now that Pac has showed serious signs of slipping Arum probably wants to cash out now

Posted August 9, 2012 11:54 pm

Floyd had 1 demand in 2010 and that was take the test, the money was already agreed to at 50/50. Pac said no even though he had his terrible demands which one included a million dollar penalty for every pound if Floyd came in over weight which is unheard of. Now that Floyd is the PPV king and brings in more money he demands more and still wants the test. Arum has already said he sees it easier to deal with the new promotional company which leads me to believe that Arum is the one holding it up. Especially when Pac said he would take less that 50/50 but when Arum found out he put a stop to it. There where at least 3 different people claiming to handle Pacs affairs when Golden Boy was the only one handing Floyd. But like I said Arum seems to think he make the fight now that Floyd will probably not be with Golden Boy which leads me to believe Arum does not want to do business with Golden Boy which would mean most the blame falls on Arum

M. Mendoza

I will not pay for Bradley II — seeing Pac robbed and having to pay for that was enough the first time.

Posted August 9, 2012 11:48 pm

It seems as though you, haven’t paid much attention to Pac’s performances lately. Pac can get by Broner via UD. But He’ll get a schooling by the Mayweather. If you’re thinking that Pac’s going to catch him with his left with any authority, you’re percentages for being right, are very low indeed. Mayweather will circle to his left, and Manny will follow all night. Pac will need to rely one his right to even have a chance.

Posted August 9, 2012 10:43 pm

Perfect storyline Pac cripples Broner in Nov. and ends his boxing career then Floyd finally steps up to defend the honor of the shoulderroll but gets cracked because thats what a A level southpaw like Pac will do to it the end. Not what yall expected but thats what it is.

Posted August 9, 2012 10:24 pm

Its Arum its Arum not Floyds constant changing of demands it Arum cant say what Arum has done but Floyd said its Arum lmfao.

Posted August 9, 2012 10:14 pm

Just goes to show who has really been holding up this fight. Its Arum. He does not want to deal with Golden Boy

Posted August 9, 2012 10:02 pm

I think Arum believes that 50cent is green and that Arum can outhustle him in terms of business deals… but I think he’ll find it quite the opposite.
50cent is used to the music business (which is at least as cutthroat, or potentially even worse, than the boxing business) and he’s used to getting his way, so I doubt Arum will be able to pull the wool over his eyes.

Posted August 9, 2012 9:01 pm

Spot on.

Posted August 9, 2012 8:30 pm

It finally looks like Arum is serious about making this fight, maybe he’s ready for the cash out. Or maybe he’s just being Arum, which if that’s the case, he’s just talking to hear himself.

Posted August 9, 2012 8:28 pm

This fight has lost it’s appeal. It’s time for Manny to take his 3rd grade education, to congress, and fight for the people of his country. Then again, what is he really even doing as a congressman?

Ray Ray

100% agree with Te Tumbo…couldn’t say it any better. Arum will use manny up as much as he can…than feed him 2 the wolves

Ray Ray

Arum talking about Mayweather…..that’s all it is, talk. Won’t happen. Itl b a Bradley rematch. Cotto at his natural weight is 2 dangerous and so is Marquez. If Manny where 2 lose there would def b no Mayweather fight and it’s very possible he could go down 2 both…unless Miguel has 2 drop a heap of weight or the judges penetrate Marquez from bhind like his and Mannys last fight….I’m not buying anything Arum is selling

Posted August 9, 2012 8:17 pm

There’s no need @ all for the rematch, anyone with eyes know Pac was completely robbed and Bob Arums plan str8 back fired on him. All he did was cost Pac any leverage he had @ the negotiating table. Pac won that fight by a landslide & was robbed now alot of people are really sayn he’s coming off of some type of PEDS cause he had a tough fight vs the GREAT marquez and was robbed vs Bradley. They say he didn’t look good but he completely dominated a very good young undefeated fighter. Maybe he could’ve done better or maybe Bradley is alot tougher than we give him credit for and so many people jump on the bandwagon it’s really bad. HBo is sitting up here giving Broner all this shine 4 fighting guys he shouldn’t even be in the ring with-it’s just 4get what the TRUE fans want-true fans no what their watching and they don’t jump ship on a fighter

“. . . how much lead time does [Pacquiao*] need in preparing his campaign,” give me an F’n break(?!). Pacquiao* is no more a political strategist than he is a masterful boxer. he’s a popular figurehead and nothing more. what Pacquiao* can do is exchange punches, which makes Boxing his natural priority. nonetheless, Pacquiao’s* political leader$hip is no less about money than his boxing career. accordingly, money will decide what his priority will be and considering that he’s not a PPV attraction without a DLH, Hatton, Marquez, or Mayweather to bolster his appeal, we can safely assume that he’ll pass on ending his career on a resounding losing note in a P4P Showdown v. Floyd, which concludes the final element of suspense regarding this proposed matchup all along, i.e., would Punkuiao* really dare end his career without facing his #1 P4P rival? the answer increasingly appears to be a shameless “OO”.

Money vs pac has gone off the boil now.

Posted August 9, 2012 3:29 pm

Boring boring boring. Two years too late. There are better fights out there.

Posted August 9, 2012 3:15 pm

The same with Maywweather and his cherries.

The Kingslayer

Same old song and dance. Anytime I hear Bob talking about Manny’s next opponent Mayweather always seems to be the fight after, at this stage I’ll believe it when Manny and Floyd are laced up facing each other across the ring,
