Ginger ‘ugly kid’ to beat Bignose, lol!

groves by ud is the most probable outcome or froch by ko but less likely.

Posted May 3, 2014 10:14 am

Groves will have even more confidence this time. Either Froch gets a lucky KO or Groves wins. George by decisive points victory is most likely IMO.

As soon as froch is mentioned, people mention Ward…at least froch is still fighting ffs, and I don’t care if ward is technically the best at 168 because he’s still one of the worst to watch! Ward would NEVER sell out a stadium…he barely sells out that sh!t hole in Oakland

Groves is not a particularly good fighter, his record shows that,he is also not a great puncher…..but he is good at selling himself and a fight…So by all means George talk it up,not many fighters have long careers,so make hay while the sun shines..But the more you talk the more deluded you sound, the refs decision to stop the fight was the result of you bottled it,when you annualize the last moments of the fight Froch threw 6 or 7 unanswered punches at you only 3 connected and not very well, but you turned away, done in..Yes the ref stopped it,why not ,there was only one way you were going…down…now you have what you a bit more greatfull…

Groves’ lack of fear is worrying Froch. He is used to intimidating people. Groves will be more cautious and box rings round Froch.

Mick the Marmalizer

Carl Froch always had a reputation for being gobby, but who had the biggest gob ever? Jack Sharkey, Muhammad Ali, Anthony Mundine? The debate is open!

Posted May 3, 2014 4:03 am

Froch to win by ko inside 6 rounds, in the last fight groves wasn’t get hit cleanly and still he was getting badly marked up

Groves has always conducted himself with 100% decorum in the past. However of late he’s let his mouth sound off a bit too much, Froch has been the #1 @ 168Lb in Europe & the Commonwealth for years now & until the Ward fight was #1 in the World, so deserves full respect. This is a 50/50 contest, but, both guys could come out over cautious so I’m sliding towards a Groves points win.

I liike both boxers, but I’m on Team Froch in this fight. Carl is a true warrior who deserves to win his final battles. But respect to both for taking this risky fight.

People know who Groves is. He’s making a lot of money for this fight.

Part of that is his big fat mouth and drawing a lot of rebuke from Froch and fans… as well as support from people who like that kind of bravado and disrespect.

Posted May 2, 2014 11:08 pm

Groves has become a different person under Eddie Hearn and he is being ill-advised.

After the DeGale fight and the first Froch fight, Groves won a legion of fans but he is close to undoing all that with his mouth which now on a par with DeGale.

He should be very careful, because if he does get done by Froch, it’s gonna be a long way back.

I don’t understand why people are crying robbery. Any one with half a brain surely could see that if anything froch was robbed of a come from behind victory.

That’s OK… The winner would have to have 2 fights to create a scenario where Wembley would be available next summer.

Or if Ward happens super fast, they can always create an exception… Like they did when Adonis Stevenson was Froch’s mandatory and he wanted to fight Kessler again.

TARK, the winner is mandated to fight possibly DEGALE within a ninety day period or be stripped.

Posted May 2, 2014 7:55 pm

moonshineman says.., “Froch can retire anytime he wants to .. So can Groves. Neither will be missed.”

Why the burst of hatred moonshineman??? Just because these 2 guys sold out Wembley Stadium? I guess you don’t plan on watching the fight … even if it’s free.

On the other Andre Ward will be watching. He’s got his eye on Groves and Wembley Stadium himself. These 2 guys hate each other but Andre likes both guys. He knows that if Groves scores a spectacular KO—and GG can sling a very fast hard right hander—that would be the perfect setup for a Ward-Groves fight in Wembley Stadium.

I believe Froch will win by KO.

Hatred tends to keep you conscious when you should be knocked out cold—so there’s a chance this genuine grudge fight could go the entire 12. I would love to see Groves score the upset by KO… That sets up Ward-Groves, which is something Andre would flip over.

Smart money on froch for a reason. Wake up sleepy boxing fans, George ain’t no ATG.

Froch took everything that groves could dish out for 7 rounds and came on stronger for the next 3 rounds. I just can’t see how groves durability can last for 12 rounds against froch. Yet froch’s durability lasted thru everything groves could give plus the kitchen sink and then came on strong. Froch by late tko.

Froch can retire anytime he wants to .. So can Groves. Neither will be missed.

Posted May 2, 2014 5:56 pm

Groves by split decision

Posted May 2, 2014 5:31 pm

…and if you type in Keywords like “stoppage”, “KÓ” and “TKO” then you get Froch 100% Groves 0%.

Froch will win AGAIN, only this time by concussive KO. Groves will be looking for the ref to stop it, but it won’t happen because of his delusional whinging after the first fight. Groves was saved from a brain injury defeat in the first and this time he will not be so lucky. I hope his corner is ready to throw that towel and save Groves from his stupidity.

Posted May 2, 2014 5:20 pm

TARK is correct. Watch the fight again. Groves is a poor defender and he has poor footwork. Ward would annihilate him if they ever meet. I expect FROCH to box, box and box again. Groves wants Carl to come onto him, but Carl should stick his left in his mush until Groves is busted wide open and then bring out the heavy artillery down the stretch. I reckon FROCH unanimous. It won’t be one way, but Groves will realise that lightning doesn’t strike twice too often and will settle for surviving the distance.

Posted May 2, 2014 3:49 pm

Groves is going to stop Carl Froch, and I can also see McCracken pulling his fighter, not because he cannot go on but because he is eating too much. Im certain Froch gets stopped in this fight by Groves who will not be able to miss, its too late for Froch to work on his defense, he can box but he is a hard nut who walks you down and does it well, but I don’t think it will work this time. George Groves is a world class boxer and will look even better this time. Froch being the fighter that he is will go out but down fighting. Groves by stoppage.

Posted May 2, 2014 3:35 pm

froch again only sooner.

Posted May 2, 2014 3:01 pm

St Vitus Dance

I really think Groves will win this, after fighting a murderers row of fighters for the last few years, I believe Froch is old, tired, and ready to be beaten by a fresh, fast hard hitting fighter. I hope I’m wrong as I like Carl, but I can see Rob McCracken pulling a battered Froch out between rounds.

BruceLee Still Lives

It would be a shame if Froch retires if defeated, I still think there are fights to made for him other than with Ward. He could do us all a favor and fight Julio Cesar Chavez. I think their styles are made for each other. Julio is already fighting at that weight limit but has not fought a natural super middle weight in that division. It would make for an interesting fight.

NOW THAT GEORGE GROVES has got everything his way, re location: London, referee, judges, fans (plastic Chelsea) etc. etc. What excuse will this dimwit have when he loses?
He spent the whole face-off whining, when he has had everything handed to him for the rematch. Carl admitted he’d made mistakes and genuinely seems at peace with himself, whilst George acted like the BRAT you wish you could slap,( but would get in trouble because he looks so much younger than you) walking himself into a cul de sac repeatedly asking The Cobra “why?” Rob McCracken said what he said immediately after the fight. FROCH said he didn’t know, and did not need to know and then turning the tables on Groves he said, “I’ll give you Rob’s number and you can ask him!”

The petulant twerp Groves piped up saying, I’m not asking, I’m telling and then FROCH told him that he didn’t need to know Rob’s thought processes, but it seems that George does so badly!

FROCH put him straight, “You’re not telling. Why, is a question…” Groves buts in, “I’m asking, why would he say that, cause it doesn’t make any sense?”

FROCH trumps the fool, “So, you are asking!” “I’ll give you his number and you can ask him!”

Groves trips up over his tongue and shuts the hell up!

i dont know what fight people were watching the 1st time around but I saw Froch do his normal thing keep his composure and take this groves fella to school. Grove is lucky to be getting another big payday

If defeated as long as it’s not by KO and it’s a close fight, they can have a rubber match
