finish line

I say b-hop rid us of Andre Ward who is the most overrated fighter on the list. They handed this chump P4P list for beating nobody. At least a guy like RIGO takes out an undfeated fighter of over 10 years then named fighter of the year two days earlier before RIGO presses a waffle iron on Donairs face. Now thats worth a list offer, not Ward who didnt do anything with sucked up Dawson who was later destroyed by Adonis. Hey Ward fight somebody, ADONIS, BHOP- ANYONE

“At least Cleverly stopped the inept Murat. Hopkins couldn’t.”

That’s right. Not even with all his showboating, cheating, and other antics. Kovalev would lay Hopkins out like an area rug.

Maribor Komar you love a racist ? Go to youtube and put in – Calzaghe & Hopkins Clash

This is where racist Hopkins tells Calzaghe I’ll never let a white boy beat me !

Maribor Komar

I’ve always loved Hopkins and still do but this late performance wasn’t good.
The opponent was a strong guy with some habilities but he was far away the world class level.
B-hop looks like weaker physically and even less intelligent what is his best quality…
However, the guy is still amazing and will be a problem for any boxers despite of his age.

And don’t forget, he come from the middleweight division; Kovalev, Peterson too risky and to heavy.
Concerning the Mayweather fight, I think B-Hop has no chance in 160, if he manage to be at this weight.

@ Anon

People didn’t give B-Hop a hope in hell of beating De La Hoya, Trinidad, Pavlik etc.

Kovalev ducked? LOL… Like Kovalev would allow Murat to go past 2 rounds. Hopkins’ team refused to negotiate in good faith — and Cleverly’s team put out a solid offer and a world title shot. Kovalev’s team jumped on it.

At least Cleverly stopped the inept Murat. Hopkins couldn’t.

Hopkins wouldn’t have a prayer in Hell of beating Kovalev

John E. Jagozza is spot on.

Big PPV payday for Hop and Floyd. Get ready for a non fight

Kovalev DUCKED

Posted October 28, 2013 12:21 am

I don’t want to see Hopkins fight ever again, if you can call it fighting. Murat did not deserve a title fight. Remember, Hopkins lost to Dawson! Hopkins will always run from Kovalev and Stevenson. Kovalev was Hopkins’ mandatory according to the rules.

Golden Boy Promotion, Showtime, Bernard Hopkins and Floyd Mayweather are planning to rob floydiots of their hard earned money this coming May 2014.
Hopkins knows what he is talking about, the plans seem already in motion.

Jonn E. JaGozza , have you said these thing to his face?

Posted October 27, 2013 10:27 pm

Foulkins has lost his footwork, lost the ability to fight continuously and lost his mind if he thinks he can drop to 160. He fought a bum and barely beat him. He spent more time fouling or holding than boxing. He is a dirty fighter who cannot face top opposition. And the Showrime commentators wanted us to believe that he is some type of legend? He is a B level fighter who fought in an era where there were no A level fighters (excluding JT and RJJ) and last night he looked like a washed up old man struggling to deal with a clumsy school yard bully. Please for the love of boxing retire!

Bhop. Jab n grab. Samoan headbutt, elbow. Typical bhop. Classic! Lol

Posted October 27, 2013 7:30 pm

Jonn E. JaGozza

People give Hopkins the credit at surviving at 48 years of age but that is only an endurance test so, what is the greatness of a old champ fighting a BUM. AND remember, the bum actually had a few moments in this fight and nailed the old man more than just a few times. However have the old champ fight a guy who has beaten him 2 times ( Dawson ) Oh No, no one thinks of that and REMEMBER Now, Dawson is well past his prime but he’ll kick the old man’s tail again any time… As I said in an earlier posting , Dawson should be jumping up and down with joy and calling this old fool out…… Now, that’s what Boxing is all about NOT beating up bums. If it were that way, then Old Big George or Iron Mike would still be fighting…. again. Any one can beat up bums at any age 48,58, 60 ?? … PEACE …. And don’t forget to checkout my book …

Jagozza is right. B hopkins got these fans hood winked . It is like a guy living on his past valor and his fans still wanting to believe so they pretend to see great performances from a ridiculous fight. Bernard, Roy Jones, and James Toney should have a three person tournament because they could make 6 competitve fights of has beens and make enough money to retire.

es has the beat

Something seemed scratchy about Quillin’s and Bhop’s gloves

Posted October 27, 2013 4:49 pm

I can only guess that if b-bop does fight Floyd it will be one clown act leaning on till fight night as both try to out do each other’s . They always are looking for that edge, but the fight might very well be a holding match 40% of the time. I might go with Bernard,

Posted October 27, 2013 4:20 pm

No way that fight is being considered. Hopkins won’t be able to get to 160 and he is just plain to big anyways for Floyd. Floyd is not a big guy. And I will stick to no way Hopkins gets to 160. Too much muscle that has been put on going to 175

Posted October 27, 2013 3:39 pm

I admire BH, I mean a guy “fighting” at his age after serving time in prison. But he has enough money, and needs to go. Allow the younger, hungrier guys some paydays. And to make worst that ridiculous costume. I know Halloween is around the corner, but come on…

Posted October 27, 2013 3:37 pm

BHOP love him or hate him….he is the Ric Flair of boxing

Posted October 27, 2013 3:25 pm

Bhop, like many similar to himself, have no shame. That would be like the Klitschhko’s begging to fight Andre Ward. Ridiculous. It would be nothing more than a side show. If they present it as an exhibition fight and not some valid fight, at least it would have entertainment value. It would be on par with when Floyd fought and “beat” The Big Show in some wrestling event.

So what a cherrypick fight against sine hopeless guy rankes #84 in the World. But he is from the USA so no problem. I hate this kind of double standard.

Posted October 27, 2013 3:17 pm

Smoger may need to think about retirement. What referee in recent memory shoves a fighter away by his face? That was stupid and disrespectful. Smoger did that on more than one occasion. Almost as if trying to force Murat to lose control.

Exiled Yank

Bhop FM is a ridiculous fight. I can’t believe it’s even being considered by anyone. FM has never been above 154 (he’s never even weighed 154) and hopkins thinks they should meet at 160? A man who has been at 175 for years? If bhop wants to drop in weight for a fight, he needs to take on Ward at 168. Or he can fight Stevens at his own weight. I’m ahuge bh fan, but him fighting fm is beyond reasonable.

Posted October 27, 2013 2:58 pm

160? Good. BHop can fight Triple G and get Knocked Out.

Posted October 27, 2013 2:48 pm

Liver Shot

I’m afraid that unless you’re from another country you have no chance at fighting Mayweather. B-Hop can’t carry a PPV. Mayweather can’t carry a PPV either unless he has a foreign counter part that brings their country to the PPV table. Broner finding out the ugly truth of not being a PPV fighter. I know Mayweather or his fans or people don’t want to hear it. Oscar is still the undisputed PPV champ. He alone drew numbers and needed little help from who he was fighting. B-Hop needs to move on and line up another showtime fight cause that’s all he has left. Mayweather needs an international fighter to make money, not B-Hop.

Hopkins is scared of Stevenson and Kovalev, this is why he wants to fight Welterweight Floyd.

Posted October 27, 2013 2:14 pm

Killa are you insane? Why would PBF standing about 5’7 fight B-hop who stands about 6’2 would come in on fight night weighing 175 bringing head butts, elbows, and kicking to the match. Lay off the drugs man a mind is a terrible thing to wast.

Wilder fight far more exciting than Wlads .

Posted October 27, 2013 1:53 pm

B-Hop the Alien. This guy is a master of boxing. I can wait to see if Floyd wants to get a piece of the Zen master B-Hop.

Posted October 27, 2013 1:42 pm

It’s been said that you’re only as old as your spine is flexible – Hopkins looks younger than Broner! What can be said of BHop? I think he put on a another great show. He was slipping, making close angles and has hand speed seemingly still developing. His power is just enough to halt advances and his combinations allow him to dictate the ebbs and flows. Born on the 15th day of 1965, (five days before Lyndon Johnson gave his Inaugural Address after beating Barry Goldwater) last night was Bernard’s 9th pro fight since his split decision loss to Joe Calzaghe back in 2008. Since that fight, Hopkins has been injured by body Dawson’s body slam, robbed of a win vs. Pascal, called a dirty fighter by opponents, trainers, managers, promoters, yet fed on the garbage that would have frustrated any other fighter. He avenged a loss vs. Jones Jr. and foresaw Pavlik’s self destruction. Now he expresses his loyalty towards Golden Boy and talks not of retiring but how he is prepared to lose weight to get to 160? What can be said of BHop? Simply amazing – History book material.

Jonn E. JaGozza

Hopkins won but not convincingly and also, the stuff the ref allowed him to do in that fight was just wrong; holding his man with one hand and hitting him with the other. Come On ? Sure he won the fight but who has ever heard of his opponent before, I haven’t. After the fight, Hopkins kept on referring to himself as an “alien” and repeating to reporters ” in 14 months I’m going to be 50″ Enuff already ! If he is so freakin’ great then why doesn’t he call out Dawson, who by the way, beat him 2 times. If I were Chad Dawson I’d be calling the “alien” out and be a very wealthy man by beating his ass again and remember, Dawson had no problem with him in either fight. Folks and fight fans, he’s not what you think, this guy is a scam artist. … PEACE…
