It probably doesn’t make financial sense, but it would be a good fight between Haye and the Nightmare…Posted September 10, 2013 4:31 pm
flash knockdowns can be scary and result in knees giving out or hip dislocating, these kids are not going to war but they still got lots to consider.Posted September 10, 2013 7:59 am
Ducker ? Fury will fight Haye !
Props to Fury for taking this fight instead of an easier one against Pulev !

The Banks knockdown was a hard knockdown of Ali.. A flash knockdown you’re up in a flash.. Ali wasn’t.
Judah decked Mayweather… That was a flash.. Patterson decked Quarry.. That was a flash.Posted September 9, 2013 10:45 pm
Not impressed until he actually beats someone ranked in top 3Posted September 9, 2013 10:25 pm
The banks kd was a flash. He got up real quick.Posted September 9, 2013 9:48 pm
Alexander…, The knockdowns Ali suffered early weren’t flash knockdowns… The Banks and Cooper knockdowns were pretty serious.Posted September 9, 2013 8:03 pm
AssyrianGod.., I think people have heard of Liakhovich… Nobody else ever did that to him. That was supposed to be Chisora of course but that fight fell out because Wilder couldn’t leave and Chisora wouldn’t come here.
Deontay is calling out Arreola… Obviously DW and his team want top oponents right nowPosted September 9, 2013 8:01 pm
All the haters can cling to is a flash knock down very early in Wilder’s career which he recovered from very well and showed great fighting spirit flooring the man who put him down. How many flash knock downs did ALI suffer and sometimes even from journeymen.Posted September 9, 2013 6:36 pm
The haters complain that Wilder has not gone the distance but this is because of his massive power. Also though Wilder has slowly moved up his level of competition he has steadily improved it fight after fight. Futhermore Wilder is calling Arreloa out a guy that might be able to give Wilder some rounds and will certainly test Wilder’s chin and it is Arreloa who is running scared.Posted September 9, 2013 6:32 pm
Arreola did not duck Vitali, he was undefeated and believed in himself back than. Against Vitali he felt real power but did not feel shamed in losing to an all time great. Arreloa has never lost to a fellow American only to a Ukrainian, Pole and Haitian/Canadian. I think Arreloa wants to keep his unblemished record against his fellow countrymen.Posted September 9, 2013 5:03 pm
Wilder will have a very hard time finding opponents from here on out. Arreloa will not dare go near him. The only guy crazy enough to is Chisora but I doubt Chisora could get a US visa and Wilder can no longer get a UK visa. It is sad as I think it would have been a fun fight for as long as it would have lasted.Posted September 9, 2013 4:32 pm
Spot on!Posted September 9, 2013 3:57 pm
Get the fight sorted!
But hey, I don’t want to argue over something that’s not going to happen either way because once Haye smashes him he’ll never leave the UK and fight a bunch of Rogans.Posted September 9, 2013 2:52 pm
You’re pulling at strings guy. Did Adamek is a much better Heavyweight than Cunningham, go and write that down. Did Fury fight Vitali? No? Do you think Chisora or Fury would beat Stiverne? I doubt it! But again, why pick other guys. We are talking about 2. And I don’t remember Adamek decking Arreola for the record, do you, Mr. Statistics?Posted September 9, 2013 2:46 pm
Supreme Court… What’s your point about Arreola “giving credit to Wilder”? That he has some class? Doesn’t change that he fought bums his whole life! Here’s a fact to counter your opinion. Arreola didn’t duck Vitali Klitschko, he fought him. Why in the world would he “duck” Wilder who gets pounded out by Wlad in sparring and fought a bunch of nobodies?!?!?Posted September 9, 2013 1:55 pm
Besides, you got so far off the point. Name fighters games are useless. What is useful is a cruiserweight not known for power planted Fury. What would a real heavy handed true heavy like Arreola do to him?!? Don’t paint a fake picture.Posted September 9, 2013 12:21 pm
Cribb, who did Cunningham beat in the heavies?!? What ranked boxer did Johnson beat?Posted September 9, 2013 12:07 pm
As for Fury, no one his age is remotely close to fighting the level of opponents he has been taking on since a teen. You cant say Fury ducks or cherry picks his opposition, you cant really get more dangerous than Haye outside of Wlad at the moment. Thus far Fury has won all his ”name” fights, whereas Arreola has lost his.Posted September 9, 2013 10:02 am

I’m not convinced that Wilder is the real thing by any means whatsoever. Until he beats someone of note, I’m VERY skeptical of him. Yes, we know he can punch hard, but so could Seth Mitchell. That being said, I think Wilder is better than Mitchell, but that doesn’t mean squat. And we have to remember, Wilder’s been knocked down by some guy named Harold that no one has heard of. Arreola has proven that he can take a punch very well and that he can punch hard also. Arreola also throws lots of punches for a heavyweight and I don’t think Wilder can handle that.Posted September 9, 2013 3:36 am
The ideal for Arreola will be if Vitali busts up Stiverne then retires.
Suilaman will then order Arreola-Matthew Hatton for the vacant titlePosted September 9, 2013 3:29 am
Make it happen, that Wilder bum finally will fight against somebody with a pulse.Posted September 9, 2013 3:20 am
Wilder is the real thing. He would stop arreola. Wilder is the future undisputed heavyweight champion.Posted September 9, 2013 2:40 am
Mack’s got the beat!Posted September 9, 2013 2:33 am
2 Supreme Court: I don’t think Arreola is imprssed with Wilder, who’s as green as green can be. I also think Arreola really wants revenge with regard to Stiverne.Posted September 9, 2013 2:31 am
Arreola ISN’T a gatekeeper and I think Arreola would knock Wilder out in the first two rounds. I also think that a focused, in shape Chris Arreola beats Stiverne in a tough, entertaining fight.Posted September 9, 2013 2:29 am
Oh, Mr. Cribb, one more thing. I assure you that we shouldn’t consider records as Arreola has most certainly been in the ring with higher skill level fighters than fury. This is why he has a few losses. He doesn’t go turd shopping or hand-pick opponents that give him a good advantage like Tyson Fury.Posted September 9, 2013 12:30 am
No doubt that Stiverne really damaged Arreola’s status but I promise you, I didn’t see that coming! I said Arreola was gonna beat the piss out of him. My logic was firstly, Who even is this guy? I never heard of him. Secondly, I saw that Ray Austin took him (I think) the distance or close to it. No way this guy beats Cris. I was shocked to see him floor Arreola in the 3rd round and legitimately had him hurt, bad. Not to mention he had cris leaking from every thing on his face that could bleed. I’m shocked at how Arreola came back though and even more surprised that he wants possibly another helpin’ of what Stiverne dished him out the first time.Posted September 8, 2013 11:41 pm
I think Chiris is a tough man. He has proven that he can take a hard punch. I think it is very difficult for anybody to knock him out.
Wilder seems to be able to punch very hard…maybe the hardest puncher in the heavyweight division. But we do not know how he will react if he gets hit with a hard punch. We don’t know his heart…his fighting spirit…the spirit to fight on even though hurt.
Chris also can punch very hard. If Chris has discipline then he can go far.
So until we know how Wilder reacts after getting nailed then Arreola should win.Posted September 8, 2013 11:31 pm
He’s a gate keeper… Or he was when he fought Stiverne.. And he will be if he fights Wilder..
If Emmanuel Steward saw a kid clinching like Seth he would say, “WHOOOOAA TIME!!! That’s horrble man. What are you doing??? Are you a cowboy trying to wrestle a steer??? You don’t tackle a guy around the waist you grab him around his arms real smooth like this so he can’t punch you. You need to practice that because you’re going to get killed the way you’re doing it… TIME IN”Posted September 8, 2013 11:31 pm
I don’t know man, I wouldn’t personally call Arreola a “gate keeper”. Gate keepers in my mind are guys like Derrick Rossey, Dominick Guinn, Mike Mollo, Vin Maddalone, etc… Cris doesn’t belong in that category, he’s more than a gate keeper. He’s a threat, he’s a contender.Posted September 8, 2013 11:13 pm
Now Stiverne??? YES.. He was at the get.. Chris didn’t keep it.Posted September 8, 2013 11:05 pm
Minto was never at the gate… The guy was nobody from nowhere… Couldn’t even beat Tony Tubbs… Molina??? GTFOOH He was not at the gate.
Mitchell got a lot of press because he has a great story as a top colligate football player.. But even Mitchell was not really at the gate.. Not after his sorry efforts vs Jonathan Banks.. I give Chris credit for a good win.. If he beats Wilder that would be a real win.
Wilder is really knocking at the gate. Chris would really be the keeper.Posted September 8, 2013 11:04 pm
I’ll put it to you like this.. Arreola may not be #1 but he’s not a gatekeeper. he seems to constantly prove that. Anytime someone thinks they’ll catch him when he’s down (molina, mitchell, minto) he’s rose to the occasion and stopped them. I think he needs to see what’s going on in the wbc situation or try to fight Wlad. As a fan I’d love to see him in with Wilder but if I were chris’s handlers….. there’s more cons than pro’s facing wilder. sooo I’d like to see the fight but I 100% understand if arreola doesn’t go in that direction but Chris is by no means scared.Posted September 8, 2013 10:44 pm
LOL.., Wilder isn’t Seth… Wilder has skills. He just needs a better opponent than Liakhovich.Posted September 8, 2013 9:17 pm
Ok, just like Seth was gonna win… Till he didn’t. Wilder will win, till he doesn’t either.Posted September 8, 2013 8:54 pm
Celebratory pushups? Arreola was trying to save face because he had just fallen over.Posted September 8, 2013 7:20 pm
Deontay winsPosted September 8, 2013 6:40 pm
The next fight for Wilder is Arreola… If Chris agrees to fight him.Posted September 8, 2013 6:11 pm
Wilder knows what he’s doing… Mitchell doesn’t.
Seth is fast enough… He landed the first 3 punches, a quick 1-2 and a jab to the body, effortlessly. Seth’s stance is badly screwed up, but he can move, jab, and throw 1-2’s from long range with good skill. It’s possible to teach yourself how to do that.
The most important skills to learn are defensive skills, infighting skills, and clinching skills. You can’t teach that to yourself.
Arreola took the shots well, stayed relaxed, and kept closing the gap.
As Chris moved in you could cut the tension with a knife. Tension radiating from Seth. Seth was desperate. Seth was clueless. Seth was a rank novice fighting a veteran contender.
When Chris got close, the fight was over. Mitchell has identical problems that Amir Khan has—but they’re 10 times worse.
You can’t stick your left hand out if you’re not going to jab. Anyone with a right hand can’t miss your head. Seth can’t clinch—he tackles you. He can’t defend right hands. These are all basics he should have by now. He’s lost.Posted September 8, 2013 6:07 pm
wilder will never fight anyone because they know he will be ktfo when he does. at least mitchell had the balls to fight someone. wilder is the biggest fraud in boxing.Posted September 8, 2013 5:48 pm
The only improvement I saw was his weight. That is it. I just think he is who he is. If he is in shape he can move around the ring a little bit quicker and his punches are more fluid. That is all. But I like Arreola, it is hard for him to be in a bad fight and when he gets decked he gets up and keeps fighting. If he was like 3 or 4 inches taller he would be champion. well as long as he actually trained for fights like he did for this one.Posted September 8, 2013 3:34 pm
TomCribb, LOL@ Fury has beaten better fighters. You’re funny guy. It’s your lie, you tell it however you like.Posted September 8, 2013 3:23 pm
arreola and fury . . . now that would be a fun fight.Posted September 8, 2013 3:20 pm
@Punch, I apologize for my earlier direct comment. That was unnecessary of me and i am sorry.Posted September 8, 2013 3:12 pm
Chris still lacks a solid defense as he ate some crisp shots…..I don’t think he would enjoy a power check to the face from Wilder.
I hope this fight is made soon.Posted September 8, 2013 3:00 pm
PEEJ, i didn’t catch the trainer tripping. i guess we were too busy chuckling at Arreola’s spontaneous burpee routine. anyway, hard to detect what if any fundamental improvements Arreola made based on last night’s performance. as brief as it was, Mitchell still managed to ding Arreola with a couple of powershots. Arreola’s been resilient but i wonder just how many times he can keep on getting up from those(?). IMO, Arreola needs to settle matters v. Stiverne who emerged the superior overall fighter following their first bout. ThaT will reveal just how serious a contender Arreola actually is. otherwise, if he doesn’t tighten-up that defense, he’ll continue to experience broken noses.Posted September 8, 2013 2:53 pm
tripped by his trainerPosted September 8, 2013 2:40 pm
Te Tumbo, Arreola got tripped by his manager when he was going across the ring. I thought he played it off well with the push ups though. Had me crack’n up.Posted September 8, 2013 2:26 pm
I would like to see Arreola vs Wilder. Im not sold on Deontaye yet, ya digPosted September 8, 2013 1:59 pm
That would be something to watch, but I don’t see it happening! I Think they will face Mitchell woth Wilder! Just to build him a little more!Posted September 8, 2013 1:55 pm
the boxing world is scared to death of Wilder. you’ll hear the hate, but it’s really fear.Posted September 8, 2013 1:30 pm
talk it up, wilder-arreola, it will not prove much except a true test of wilder suspect chin. old thompson is still alpha wolf in USA.Posted September 8, 2013 12:12 pm
Peej, Fury hasn’t got very good defensive skills, someone as fast as Haye shouldn’t have any problems against Fury…….. should Fury beat Haye, then it most likely will come from a bad error by Haye, rather than skill from Fury. Fury is always going to be vulnerable to faster men.Posted September 8, 2013 12:06 pm
Not sure if Chris can keep the discipline required for WilderPosted September 8, 2013 12:03 pm
Fury is a decent fighter. But he is not as good has he thinks he is. Until he proves other wise, that is what I will keep thinking. If he beats Haye he will change my opinion of him. I think Haye is gonna KO him inside of though. I have no doubt that Arreola would KO Fury. As far as Wilder, well we don’t know about his chin. If he where to fight Arreola, we know Arreola would attempt to test that chin. If he was able to keep Arreola off him that would show a lot about Wilder.Posted September 8, 2013 11:52 am
the poor deluded fool deontay wilder would be left in a heap on the ring canvasPosted September 8, 2013 11:28 am
Lots of folks seem to be hung up with the question “can Wilder take a punch”………..but actually I am more interested to see if Wilder has decent defensive skills to avoid those punches in the first place!
It proves notning so the writer says? That boy needs to lookmup the word nothing. I can think of afew things with chris ko ing seth. Thats as far as I got in the article the first few sentence. Maybe he had a point later but if you start out with a complete lie whats the pointPosted September 8, 2013 11:02 am
Fury is a slightly and I mean slightly better version on Wilder with less power. Both management teams pick guys that they know they will beat. You can’t believe the hype for either. Fury is gonna get demo’d by David Haye! Wilder would get sauced by Arreola!Posted September 8, 2013 10:57 am
Chris has had better sparing partners then Wilder has fought, big deal if he’s k/o’d a 100 nobodies. I really doubt this fight gets made.Posted September 8, 2013 10:51 am
Anonymous below is my post. Agreed peej my thoughts exactlyPosted September 8, 2013 10:38 am
The same Fury that got knocked down by Cunningham? Fury is about to be KOd by Haye and if Fury fought Areola he would be KOd by Areola.Posted September 8, 2013 10:32 am
Lol you need not worry about fury. He will be joining price, and Mitchell very shortly. As for this fight it went exactly as I expected. First time Chris caught him it was the beginning of the end. I would love to see wilder and arreola. We will find out real quick if wilder ifs for real or notPosted September 8, 2013 10:27 am

arreola KO’ed mitchell faster than the alabama jackass aka the windmill has any of his opponentsPosted September 8, 2013 6:03 am
No offense, but Arreola is NOT a poor specimen when he’s in shape. The version of Arreola who destroyed Mitchell tonight would destroy Wilder, not to mention Haye. Arreola has a vast boxing background and has been fighting since he was seven years old. While Wilder apparently has a good amateur background, he hasn’t fought anyone worthy of note AT ALL in the professional ranks, ENDA STORY. To compare Fury with Arreola is egregious, in my opinion. Fury hasn’t beaten, much less fought anyone of real note, while Arreola has. Fury also lacks the dangerous punching power Arreola has. I’m not saying anything, I’m just saying.Posted September 8, 2013 5:30 am
@ Old guy – in order to be able to pressure someone you have to be able to pressure someone. To walk up on Wilder you become hittable and to stand in the pocket as Arreola likes doing he is going to have to pay a little at the ticket booth as Wilder can punch and while its easy to write ‘pressure’ its not easy to do that when you stand opposite someone charging a tariff.Posted September 8, 2013 4:46 am
@ Punch: No offense at all intended, but what makes you think Wilder can stop, or, for that matter, handle Arreola’s bombs? Just sayin’.Posted September 8, 2013 4:37 am
Answering the question….I bloody hope so! But for mine I would be VERY surprised to see this fight happen.Posted September 8, 2013 4:02 am
Wilder is already calling for the fight and I strongly believe it will happen and then we’ll see. Arreola can press the fight as much as he wants but he’s not going to stop those bombs from landing and when they do, remember you heard it from me first, we will see Arreola on his back for the first time unable to get up.Posted September 8, 2013 3:47 am
Yes Arreola can, but no, he won’t when they fight.Posted September 8, 2013 3:42 am
@ Old Guy: I agree! Wilder wouldn’t know what to do with Arreola. Arreola, I think, would have the fight over within 2 rounds. Wilder wouldn’t stand a chance. Another I’d like to see is Arreola vs. Jennings.Posted September 8, 2013 3:32 am
Comparing Seth to Wilder is like comparing apples to oranges. Wilder has a basic boxing background went to the Olympics even though he’s untested he’s well trained, knows how to deliver a knockout punch. Seth’s power on the other hand is overrated as he doesn’t have a knockout punch, has a terrible balance and needs to land a lot to get a fighter hurt contrary to Wilder. If Arreola is foolish enough to leave his chin hanging as he usually does then a KO in Wilder’s favour is inevitable.Posted September 8, 2013 3:08 am

moronic, by the way is being able to view a comment several times to make sure you understand but still not understanding. I said Mitchell has no chin. Wilder’s has never been tested. PAY ATTENTION before you look like an idiot like as in this case of not knowing what you are talking about.Posted September 8, 2013 2:36 am
firstly, never dismiss me as I attempt to make you a brighter, smarter person on my own time. You’re nobody, and your comments lack insight and have no depth or meaning. what do you contribute that you feel makes you a legitimate commodity here? Please, i’m sure many would like to hear your answer…Posted September 8, 2013 2:32 am
Do we have to endure your ignorance? Please, GO AWAY.Posted September 8, 2013 2:22 am
Dionysus, you’re a focking moron. To compare Wilder’s power and range with chinless Mitchell is unforgivable. The fat bum arreola wouldn’t touch Wilder with a 20 feet pole; it’d be a giant fighting a fat midget. Wilder’s power ain’t no fluke, he’d jab, jab and drop the hammer on the fat bum in the first round. Mismatch. Go away, please.Posted September 8, 2013 2:20 am
On another note, Arreola has a good chin to say the least. that shnoz has been blasted by Vitali, Travis Walker and Bermane Stiverne. I think Walker could probably lay anyone flat if he caught them flush with his bombs (at least at the time he fought Arreola).Posted September 8, 2013 2:11 am
Arreola will not KO wilder because i seriously doubt wilder will get in the ring with him.Posted September 8, 2013 1:54 am
wilder will kill arreolaPosted September 8, 2013 1:48 am
Squared-Circle Real Talk (a.k.a. The Lion King of Beat Street)
Truth is we really don’t know how good Wilder is because he’s never fought a Top-10 HW. I’m not sure if he’s even fought a HW ranked in the Top 15-20.
But Wilder appears to have really good speed and impressive power. The big mystery concerning Wilder is his chin. Has he ever been chin-checked by a skilled Super HW with serious power??? I don’t think so. Arreala would be a step up for a Wilder and a real test.Posted September 8, 2013 1:45 am
I completely disagree Arreola isn’t going going to be able to get to Wilder without getting hit by his bombs and if you think Bermane hits hard wait till Arreola gets hit by Wilder. This is a no brainer Arreola will be there to take his bombs thus making it a short night for him, Wilder by KO.Posted September 8, 2013 1:39 am
Arreola would knock out Wilder in the first round.Posted September 8, 2013 1:35 am
Arreola will knockout Wilder. Wilder does not have a good defense, he has never fought a ranked fighter period………..Posted September 8, 2013 1:30 am
Areola can KO Wilder.Posted September 8, 2013 1:24 am

Areola ko’s Wilder easy easy!!Posted September 8, 2013 1:08 am
Arreola blows out the skinny guy just like Mitchel. Wilder looses to Arreola!!
Not sure but Arreola would probly be able to test that chin. Unfortunately he won’t carry all that power swinging up at him. But he would still test itPosted September 8, 2013 12:52 am
Arreola takes Wilder to the cleaners and TKO’s him. Just too much pressure and power for Wilder. Arreola moves on to a Title Fight, and maybe a Brrrmane/Arreola fight off for the vacant WBC Belt when WBC strips Vitalis of it. Vitalis……a little dab will do ya!! Only the old guys know what I am talking about. Arreola looked good tonight, fast, power, and relentless. And he is tough. He got up off the floor against Stiverne after his nose was broke in four places. Damn, that must have hurt. Tough Dude that guy Chris Arreola!! Tough Guy!!.Posted September 8, 2013 12:45 am
easily. wilder is a complete and utter fraud.Posted September 8, 2013 12:34 am
Wilder would be tested with Arreola. He will need to pretty much do what vitali did. Can he do it? Maybe. Will he fight arreola. Well if he doesnt we all know that answer.Posted September 8, 2013 12:32 am
Arreola would be a style problem for Wilder- he is exactly what Wilder wouldn’t know what to do with- pressure, roughing up, inside power….Posted September 8, 2013 12:29 am
Wilder vs arreola? Ill support it! Book it! Somebody is goin to get k.o.ed!Posted September 8, 2013 12:27 am
Wilder vs Arreola would be interesting……..but Mitchell doesn’t have the weapons Wilder has, Wilder is probably defensively better skilled than Mitchell but then again that’s not too difficult!
