Footwork is a huge part of boxing – thus feet matter and by extention toes.

Maybe if Hayes HAD a broken bone in his foot ( for real ) , and MAYBE if he was ” fighting ” Wlad with his FEET , it would be worth mentioning , as it is ,
it’s just another of the Toe Fairy’s B.S stories . Just like the time he couldn’t fight Wlad ( the first time ) because he had a broken hand . Remember ?
Maybe there are still some fan boys in England that believe him , but no
one anywhere else does !

DG ” If you are so sure both klits are so great let them fight with one of the best in current heavyweight division, it will be interesting fight, no matter how great klits are” And he is. He’s fighting Povetkin next followed by the Pulev-Fury winner. Both those two piss on Haye in terms of heavyweight credentials. And to say ” it was an equal fight with Wlad. Haye won first 4 rounds” Proves you are a Haye toe sucking vagina. If Haye even came close to winning the first 4 rounds then I am Elvis.

oops, throwing the bombs, not throughout.

Posted May 13, 2013 1:21 pm

K-2- Fan, it was an equal fight with Wlad. Haye won first 4 rounds and the one he got awarded with the point. Did Haye run away from Wlad? No, he was waiting for opportunity by the ropes the majority of the time, and Wlad was scared to come close. Did klit punched Haye more, may be with the very small margins, and it were not power punches, but jab. The fight was only in the round 12 when both showed skills, throughout bombs, and both could get that round.
I have feeling K2 fans are scared of possibility of rematch or Vitaliy vs Haye fight and bringing dirt to Haye. If you are so sure both klits are so great let them fight with one of the best in current heavyweight division, it will be interesting fight, no matter how great klits are.

Klits are overated, id half fancy the job myself against most of there recent opponents

interesting how there fans tell the world how well vitali can box with one arm and not mention haye having a broken bone in his foot against Wlad

haye ko’s charr easily anmoves on to fury

huckster ; IF, Wlad FOUGHT Chisora , he no doubt would have knocked him out . As it is , Vitaly , using just ONE arm , gave him a beating !

@ Tark , yeh but just think of the discount you would get on your next flat screen tv..

Posted May 13, 2013 3:52 am

if wlad had knocked chisora out, it would have been a great deed to the legacy of the kbros. haye knocks out chisora; it is called leftovers. ???

Posted May 13, 2013 1:37 am

Haye doesn’t waste his time with meaningless record padding fights where you learn less than you do from a good sparring session.. Anybody can chop wood.. Haye took on Chisora and Charr because they were recent title challengers.. That’s how you gain attention, not by fighting guys who are ranked 53rd..

Like Pulev told a promoter. “I only want to fight guys I deserve to fight. I deserve to fight the best heavyweights in the world. I don’t want smash somebody who sells appliances at Sears for his day job. That’s an insult to me.”

Posted May 12, 2013 11:18 pm

Charr is a tough doubt, but his style is made for Haye.

Haye = Leftovers Boy

Haye is a Fraud with a capital F.

Posted May 12, 2013 4:03 pm

Vitali took care of Charr quite comfortably. If he hadn’t been cut, Manuel may have been around to hear the final bell, who knows. Vitali is boxing at an advanced age these days, and still looked in control against Charr anyway. But yeah, the cut curtailed things. I expect David Haye to stop Charr in six or seven rounds. One thing Haye is good at doing is ko’ing slow, open opponents. Haye can punch and Charr isn’t in his league as a boxer all-round.

Posted May 12, 2013 3:37 pm

Good account of Vit- Charr fight, I also found it quite ridiculous how Charr stumbled around the ring kicking posts after his pathetic performance. So Haye would like to feast on Vitali’s leftovers once again… He is cleaning up the division all right! A true vulture.

Some guy below , asks if the writer saw the fight . And then he says ; Charr
hit Vitaly with every punch he threw ,,,,, And then he says ; Wlad’s fight
with Hayes , was ” about equal ” ? Really ? How was it equal ? Did Hayes
win at least six rounds ? NO ! Did Wlad spend as much time on his knees and on the floor as Hayes ? NO ! Did Hayes hit Wlad as many times as Wlad hit
Hayes ? NO ! Did Wlad RUN from Hayes all night NO ? Fially Did Hayes WIN the fight NOOOO ! So , did you see these fights , yourself , to come up with this
nonsense or are you just talking through your ass , as usual !

Posted May 12, 2013 8:30 am

Since his loss to Vitali, Charr has stayed active and had two fights, which were over quickly by KO and TKO. Charr may be slow and plodding and not the technically best boxer, but he is determined and has sth that Haye lacked – balls. Personally, I expect Haye to win, but he’s in for a long night and he shouldn’t underestimate Charr.

Posted May 12, 2013 8:20 am

Wlad looked just as bad as haye. Grab grab shove down jab jab back up – he did fk all vs haye and those scores dont tell the story

Posted May 12, 2013 7:57 am

“equal fight with Wlad,” lmfao, “even” to the tune of 108-118, 109-117, 110-116.

Posted May 12, 2013 4:44 am

biggest hype job in recent memory.

Posted May 12, 2013 4:43 am

Haye is a great thinker… Chisora caught Haye with 14% of his blows but nailed Helenius with 51%. Haye needs to be more active to have an ATG legacy because he’s 32 years old. He hangs out too much. But he puts more into each training camp than anyone I’ve ever seen. That could be why he sprains his ass so much. He’s fighting guys 240-250 so he has to be perfect.

Posted May 11, 2013 11:43 pm

Haye is pound-for-pound one of the hardest punchers in the sport. No fighter is going to be able to take too many clean shots from him, especially Charr, who will be right in front of Haye to be hit.

Posted May 11, 2013 11:24 pm

Obviously author didn’t watch that fight. Vitaly was punishing Charr, but surprisingly Charr was able to reach Vitali with almost every punch, and fight was about to be equal and may be turn in favor of Charr. Charr is the a slow starting fighter, and his plan was to bring fight to the latest rounds with the old opponent. Doctor actually didn’t save the Charr, but stole the possible good fight from us. About Haye, it was pretty equal fight with Wlad where wlad was more active, but both fighters showed their abilities only in 12th round, before that they were scared of each other.

Posted May 11, 2013 10:55 pm

charr is easy to hit and haye should KO him early ( however charr does have a lot of heart) as for the people knocking haye cant u see what he is doing beating vitalis last oppenents in more impressive style thus hoping the public will demand a shot at vitali!!. personally any future fight between any klitscko vs haye should happen in london

Sad Ken

Why all the British hate from (mostly) Americans? Britain is a tiny tiny place by comparison to the USA.

It comes across as very insecure and almost like bullying. I’d be Embarrassed. It’s like picking on the small weak kid at school – not cool. :(

As for Haye, mouthy guy, top quality fighter, not as good as the Klitchkos, fought most of the big names at cruiserweight, and fought some solid yet unspectacular names at heavweight – do we need to say more?

I just read a post that refers to Hayes as ” smart ” . Shrewd , conniving ,
scheming , even cunning perhaps , but smart ? If he was smart , he would have jumped at the chance to fight BOTH Wlad and Vitaly when he first got the chance . Win or loose , that was the time to show what he was made of .
Instead , he chickened out . Made up some phony excuse and chickend out !
That was the first time he lost a lot of his devoted fans . Next , he finaly gethers
enough nerve to fget into the ring with Wlad , but doesn’t have enough nerve
to actually fight him . A disgraceful spectacle follows ! More fans started seeing
him for what he is . He had a chance to fight Vitaly AGAIN , so what does he do ? He fights the guy Vitaly beat with ONE hand ! Now he wants to ” figfht ” Vitaly AGAIN ? WHY ? I’m sorry , but I can’t see NOTHING smart about Hayes .

Posted May 11, 2013 5:40 pm

Sure Vitali needs Haye for his legacy as much as Wlad did lol. We saw how toe gate turned out. Complete farce of a fighter

Shatterd Dreams

I do think that Haye vs Vitali is a good fight, it’s just that Haye’s career has become too much about the Klitschko’s. It would actually be refreshing to here him obsess about some other fighters, Haye instead is trying to live off the success of the Klitschko brothers, trying to take shortcuts to the success that’s taken Wlad and Vitali literally years to achieve. Haye would get a lot more respect from the fans and critics if he just committed to boxing and focused on his stop start career.

Posted May 11, 2013 3:36 pm

Haye can fight Vitali’s leftovers. He doesn’t deserve Vitali. No matter how much his whiny, entitled fans claim that he is. Better yet go fight Fury. TWO BRITISH LOSERS COLLIDE.

Posted May 11, 2013 3:18 pm

TARK…Spinks/Ali example – fair point. A boxing fan with any sense wouldn’t allow a Haye loss to tarnish Vitali’s place in heavyweight history. It would be just the haters who would bang on about it for a few years before the dust settled, nut it would of course be extremely humilliating for Vitali, after all of Haye’s promotional antics involving the Klits over the years. As a boxing fan I hope it happens later this year. On paper it has potential to be a decent, elite level heavyweight fight, which is quite a rare occurance in recent times.

Posted May 11, 2013 2:50 pm

Losing to Haye wouldn’t damage Vitali’s reputation. Leon Stinks was .0001 of the fighter Haye is and losing to Stinks at 36 didn’t damage Ali in the slightest—except in the mind of Ali haters, who had a field day calling Ali a bum for weeks and months following the fight. The same thing followed the Holmes and Berbick fights—but with historical perspective, Ali recovered.

The same brickbat would be tossed at Vitali if he lost to Haye, but he would recover as historical perspective affords a clearer view. The chance to beat a heavyweight of Haye’s speed, power, and skills at his age be worth the risk for Vitali—now that he’s going ahead with the Stiverne fight instead of retiring. A great fighter is not without glory—except in his own time.

Fighting heavyweights Vitali fought first is a smart strategy for Haye. If Haye smashes Charr out in the 1st round, he ramps up the pressure on Vitali. Haye’s has to be happy with the announcement that Vitali is fighting Stiverne—which means he’s not retiring. Vitali should have retired after the Charr fight. With his ATG KO ratio, his record of never suffering a knock down, and his record of never being behind on the scorecards, he would rise to the top of the heap of Heavyweight Champions once we have a few more decades of fistic history to look back on and make better judgments.

But another reason Vitali should be retired at 41 is—any lofty position in politics is tougher than any other type of job. There are hundreds of issues to study and dozens of people to meet with every week. There are massive and unending pressures and lobbying from every side—thousands of communications you have no time to read. You have to rely on your staff to brief you, and your senior staff members have to be better than excellent. People who’ve given you significant amounts of money expect productive meetings with you. If you make significant mistakes—as half-assed politicians do—millions of your countrymen suffer the consequences. Boxing and politics don’t mix particularly well—at least not from the example of Manny Pacquiao.

A sell out in Manchester on SKY pay per view makes Haye much more money than fighting in the USA these days. Tomasz Adamek, Chris Arreola, Bryant Jennings, Malik Scott …all reasonable fighters, but nothing special. Haye is a box office draw who ever he fights in the UK, just look at the Audley fight.Lol. Haye/Charr is not a fight I’m particularly interested in, but a KO of Charr allows Haye to upstage Vitali…again. And that’s the point of the fight.

Posted May 11, 2013 1:28 pm

Shatterd Dreams

Why does Haye not look to fight in the US, a fight with a highly ranked US based opponent like Tomasz Adamek, Chris Arreola, Bryant Jennings or even a Malik Scott would give him great exposure on both sides of the Atlantic especially if it was an exciting performance. He’s not above fighting these opponents and the fights are clearly there for him.

Posted May 11, 2013 1:05 pm

A prime Vitali would have handled Haye fairly comfortably. But this version is quickly deteriorating and Haye is at his peak. In 2013 Haye v Viali would be a tough, competitive fight and a very winnable one for the Hayemaker. Losing to Haye would be emabrassing for Dr Iron Fist, a bit like Danny Williams KOing Mike Tyson at the tail end of Iron Mike’s career. I think Vitali would be wise to retire and slip off into politics with his HOF reputation intact.

Posted May 11, 2013 12:48 pm

Vitali beats Chisora on points. Haye knocks Chisora out. Vitali beats Charr via cuts. If Haye knocks Charr out, he’ll have outperformed Vitali in two consecutive fights. So, whether you like Haye or not, he’ll have proven himself as a deserving challenger for Vitali’s crown. And if you’re only as good as your last fight…

Posted May 11, 2013 12:33 pm

Like him or hate him Haye is smart. If he can’t get Vitali to fight him, he fights Vitali’s last opponents and destroys them. I think that the way Haye handle Chisora really spooked Vitali. Haye KO’d a tough as nails opponent who had never been knocked down and went 12 hard rounds with Vitali. Charr on the other hand is easy money…. no skills, no speed, no power. Haye by brutal KO in 3!

Charr seems a very limited fighter, but has two things going for him, a very good chin and an excellent left hook to the body.

If Haye can crack Charr’s chin, it will be an easy fight. If Charr can withstand Hayes best shots, Haye will be in danger of Charr’s pressure and those left hooks to the body.

It’s a shame that Haye’s career has just become about this predictable, tired need to fight a Klitschko, obviously for the finacial rewards a fight like that generates. Maybe Haye can’t be blamed for this being that the media seem to buy it every time. I think it would be a lot more exciting if Haye followed Fury’s lead and took his career Stateside, 2 or 3 action fights in the US, with the way he fights he’d be a superstar in his own right. Haye has undeniable talent i actually can’t understand why he has’nt fought in the US more, he’s fighting in the glamour division he does’nt need to beat a Klitschko to be a star, all the fans want to see is exciting fighters and exciting fights.

Posted May 11, 2013 12:01 pm

Adam Booth said at the presser when Haye announced his comack that they were in discussions with 6 fighters, 5 of whom were undefeated. What a load of baloney that was. They never were in such discussions with dangerous opposition. But you can tell anything to the British public (team Haye can that is) and they lap it up. Haye as usual will try go the smoothest, easiest route possible. And his groupies will buy into every word. Haye should have taken Vitali in September when he was offered. No. The diva ran cause he wanted to grab more money from the gullible brit public first with a chisora fight. And then has the nerve to make out Vitali is running scared. smh at Hafe. But more at the british

Haye’s get rich quick scheme continues, can’t say i’m excited about the Charr fight. Haye complains about the Klitchko’s choice of opponents yet is prepared to fight anyone once the price is right. The only Klitschko opponent that Haye approves of is himself. Haye is blatantly speculating on big money fights, he comes out of a half baked retirement and thinks he’s ppv all over again. People complain about the Klitschko’s but they are commited to the sport, Haye talks about winning the title but it’s clearly all about getting to that big cheque as quickly as possible.

Posted May 11, 2013 10:31 am

Charr called us (team Klitschko) during our fight week for Pianeta “Who did you use for sparring partners?”…”I need sparring partners”…LOL. nothing will help Charr. Haye is way to fast for Charr. Haye by brutal KO

Charr is probably worse than Pianeta. Why is haye fighting this bum. Mago, Ademek, Jennings, Helenius would have been much better. Vitali should have never fought charr. Charr is crap.

i have to agree with the writer – this is a dreadful fight and was a smart, clinical move yet again bu hayes team in picking a ‘name’ so that their man can win quickly and easily, and make him look good in his ‘comeback’.

ZZZZZZZZZZZ. Go ahead and fight Vitali’s leftovers again, loser. Your dumb fans will buy anything.

Speed and power thats how haye bangs him out

Posted May 11, 2013 5:25 am

i dont agree with yr comments – i agree that vk was wiining comfortably and taht he probably would have won easily hwver the truth is that charr was not hurt when he was knocked down and that actually the 4th round was his best before he got stopped on cuts so i believe that yr comments are much too tough and disrespectful for char – this said i think that haye speed and power will be way too much for him
