So how does Stevenson become the ” most dangerous” supermiddleweight witghout fighting guys like Kessler or Froch, LET ALONE number two P4P star Andre Ward???? Stevenson is a power puncher with limited boxing skills & questionable defence. He has very little chance against a pure boxer like Dawson who will expose those defensive shortcomings. Stevenson has always relied on his left hand(even more than the old Pacman) coming through for him but as you get to this level you have to punch with both hands. He always keeps his right really low which will be bread & butter for a guy like Dawson.

Dawson will win by UD.

Saw the Gold medal finals in Melbourne Commonwealth Games
Stevenson was the best fighter that day
He looked awesome
Glad he’s doing so well as a pro

Dawson is a terrific fighter and a superb champion
. . . . .
this will be a absolute cracker

Stevenson is nowhere as good as Andre Ward, but he has a puncher’s chance against Dawson, who I’ve always felt was slightly over-rated. I don’t even know if he’s better than Beibet Shubenov or Nathan Cleaverly. He did get a win over Bernard Hopkins who did beat Cloud who I always felt was inferior to the two Europeans, Shubenov and Cleaverly.

Dawson by UD …………………………

I almost forgot to say, Chad Dawson is being mismanaged – 6 fights with guys in their 40’s (2 fights with Glen Johnson, 2 fights with Antonio Tarver and 2 fights with Bernard Hopkins) in the last 3 or 4 years or so is NOT preparing him to fight world championship-level guys HIS AGE, like Ward and Jean Pascal. I know Dawson beat Adrian Diaconu recently, but Diaconu is really just a fringe contender and much smaller than Dawson. Also, Glen Johnson landed more punches than Dawson and rocked him in their first fight.

I think the winner of the Dawson versus Stevenson fight comes down to who is more mentally prepared. I figure Chad Dawson’s confidence is at an all-time low because of his recent TKO loss and Adonis Stevenson is probably confident because he just avenged his lone loss by knocking out Darnell Boone – a guy who dropped and hurt Andre Ward years ago, even though Ward won the decision.

I’m going to go out on a limb for a change and pick the underdog, Stevenson to win this fight, because Chad Dawson is all skills and athleticism and NO HEART (mentally weak). Remember, Carlos Baldomir took the MORE SKILLED and YOUNGER Zab Judah out of his game plan and won the linear/WBC welterweight world championship in a huge upset. Chad Dawson is inconsistent, just like Zab Judah.

Stevenson KO

Dawson is more talented then Stevenson but once Stevenson lands that one important hard punch, Dawson may not have his mind to use the talent.

Stevenson does not look mentally stable to me.

Andre Ward is the best and dangerous super middleweight in the world. Stevenson just jumped up sp he could avoid Ward and take down questionble Chad Dawson, a world title holder who have failed to defeat any serius top man under 40+ sence 2008. Bernard Hopkins foiled Dawson’s promises to take him down for good and Dawson fought bad and quited against Andre Ward in September last year when he lost so not much to bring up at this point.

I don’t know, anytime ice seen a fight from Canada on TV it looked sold out. They love boxing in Canada and I think this fight will sell well there. Hopefully Stevenson wins by KO

Stevenson should pay attention to a cliche’ that is especially true in Boxing: Be careful what you ask for, you just might get it! I think he should’ve waited for the winner of Froch/Kessler and hope that Kessler wins. Dawson is way too skilled and polished for the talented but raw Stevenson. Dawson by UD.

PEEJ.. I agree wholeheartedly. I’d much rather leave my daughter (if I had one) in the hands of someone who didn’t particularly care what she thought of him than someone who would force her into prostitution and make her take part in sadistic degrading games for their own entertainment and beat her up whenever he got the urge to do so. ‘Bad Chad’ indeed.

I don’t like Dawson. I stopped being a fan after the Pascal fight when he said he didn’t care what the fans thought. I hope Stevenson knocks him out

Way better opportunity for Stevenson….I mean, this guy went to war with Don George, a poor poor poor mans Carl Froch. Had that been the Cobra sharing the ring with him….well, NM……glass jaws exist in boxing.

Dawson has too much SKILLS for Stevenson.

Which world?

Prof Konje

Wow! Is Stevenson REALLY the most dangerous super middlweight in the entire world? Some one should tell Kessler, Froch, and Ward to vacate that division and either move up or move down in weight!!

If Chad is not on top of his game he may go to sleep!
