Raasta mouse: I suggest you watch Kessler vs Beyer + Kessler vs Andrade + Kessler vs Hausler + Kessler vs Bouadla. This was his style for many fights, it was what made americans love him. I do take your point though, in his biggest fights he just went to war. I just don’t think Magee is one of his worst opponents. I trust Kesslers trainer, Montoya totally, and much more than his former trainer, so maybe the analysis was that Froch needed to be pressured. All danish people know Mikkel for his heavy jabs, movement and powerful combinations. I mean if Bute can jab Magee into confusion, the viking warrior can certainly do the same. Just watched the prefight pressconference, funny stuff.

Kessler is not a great mover buddy, i dont know why you see different to everyone else. Kessler is a warrior who stands and trades, and hes earned respect for it. He showed no movement against Froch, Green, Ward, or Calzaghe. 3 of those fights are the 3 biggest fights of his career IMO, the Green fight was just something else. But in all 4 of those fights Kessler didnt dance. Ive never seen him use the kind of footwork you have spoken of

Raasta mouse: Kesslers was standing firm in the middle of the ring, going to war against Froch and Green, but this is not his usual style at all. He said a couple of days ago that the Froch fight, was a working mans job (nothing special) Kesslers style against forward coming fighters, were always heavy jabbing, moving around opponent, heavy punches, and then bang a one two combination -lights out. I will be surprised if Kessler goes to war against Magee, he doesn’t have to. Magee is a great guy, but this is the wrong opponent for him.

MK, I say Kessler puts a savage beating on the war-tired Magee, and stops him mid fight. Kessler isnot going to dance around, why would you think he will do that?

Raasta mouse: Kessler was never going to Lhw, he has trouble putting on the weight, he is a natural big smw, whose weight does not change much. So I did not get the Green fight, at all. Dancing around Magee, who is dangerous, instead of going to war with him like Froch, seems the better strategy, in general. You will see Kessler jab, dance and Ko Magee within 6 rounds. Kessler is the 500% favourite and I have never seen him in better shape. Like you, I expect to see Kessler fight Ward and Froch, I view it as a done deal, but there sure are a lot of fights being talked about right now.

Kessler is ripe for the picking, Magee wins by stoppage.

Kessler will WIN by stoppage.

I surprised Kess man is still fighting after all those head butts Ward gave him.

Magee is an Gatekeeper, Kessler should only have trouble with him if he takes this fight lightly, which I doubt very much.
I would have preffered Kessler against a better opponent but I guess this is an okay keep busy fight.

MK…………. a young Froch KOd a Prime Magee in an all-out war. Bute played safe and kept it at range against a well past his prime Magee. Big difference. Its like saying Tommy-Gun handled Foreman better than Ali did lol. On the same note, I thought Kesslers fight with Green was him easing his way into the LHW division……….. Is he fighting Magee to eas back into SMW?

Another annonymous reader pulling for Magee. Kessler is the big favorite, but I’d love to see Magee tag him and go out a winner.

Magee deserves 100% respect for yet again travelling to a foriegn country to fight on his opponents home turf & a few other Boxers should take a leaf out of his book(Are you reading this Andre Ward) & get there passports out. Kessler must be a 65% favorite for this contest & hopefully the IBF will allow him to fight Froch in the UK while ordering Stephenson & Bute fight an eliminator to fight the winner.

The top fighters all had problems with Magee, but won. I think that Bute handled Magee better than Froch did, actually. Kessler must take Magee seriously, and he will win by Ko. There is no way the fight goes all 12 rounds.

Leroy Brown

Magee is a joke. Kessler will KO him, hard.

The future looks pretty good @ 168Lb & Magee could play a part in it if old Father time would wait for him. Unfortunatlly I don’t think it will. Kessler should win this one & then re-match Froch & Ward(Preferbally on neutral ground) However it looks like the IBF may well put a spanner in the works & insist on Froch vs Stephenson followed by Bute II. I’m looking forward to about 18 months time when George Groves, Thomas Oosthuizen & maybe James DeGale get in on the act.

Magee is much better then people give him credit for…but age and a up and down career hampered with injuries will most likely be coming to an end now.Anyway good-luck Magee..always the tough fighter.
