Boozing-holy crap. Maybe a Freudian slip.

Chihuahuas de Messyhoe , the name of the game is to keep on winning and to keep on earning. Canelo does that very well.

This is more a business than it is a sport. Anyone who misses that misses the new world of boozing where fighters pick and choose their spots and try to get the biggest bang for the buck. They all do it except Leo Santa Cruz who seems to fight every other month. These days, an active fighter is rare,

That is all.

Not a PPV fight. If Canelo is not ready or focused on this fight Angulo could give him all kinds of trouble.

As for Cotto, he would be wise to look seek a less punishing exit plan than one that involves Canelo.

A mercifully quick stoppage win for the heavy-handed Canelo. Perro’s style is made to order for Red. Perro’s face was turned into mush by Lara, though he did deck the Cuban twice. It won’t take much to open up his face again.

Then a Kirkland – Canelo fight would be fan-friendly.

Lara was decked twice by Angulo and continues to avoid Molina who actually owns a title. Lara is an undercard fighter who needs to rematch Molina or dare face Kirkland. another fighter who continues to duck Canelo.

GBP offered Cotto $10 million to fight Canelo and Cotto rejected the challenge, Again. apparently, Cotto doesn’t need a $10 million payday and would prefer to fight anybody else for less(?). apparently, not even Jotto believes in the hyped-up “rivalry”, which has recently featured Puto Rico’s best being Punished and Pummelled and Beatdown by Mexico’s newest Rican-killers: Salido and Mikey Garcia. the Margarito-damaged Cotto is the only putoriqueno left but he refuses to Fight . . . typical.

PEEJ, You may favor Cotto over Canelo but Cotto’s rejection of Canelo’s $10 million offer indicates that Cotto agrees with Me. what else could possible be the explanation for Cotto not wanting to fight Canelo coming off of a loss and for $10 million.

“Why isn’t this Biatch taking on GGG who clearly said he’d go down to 154lbs to fight Canelo? Rosado a 154lb fighter moved up to 160lbs to Challenge GGG and refused any Catch weight.” – Actually Rosado was Canelo’s mandatory but he knew Canelo would stall or not do the fight at all, so he went up to 160. A shame he had to fight out of his division and get bombed out by GGG when he should’ve gotten a title shot at 154.

“The undercard has Cristian Mijares facing WBC super bantamweight champion Leo Santa Cruz, Omar Figueroa facing Canelo’s older brother Ricardo Alvarez and Nihito Arakawa taking on Jorge Linares. Those definitely make the fight card PPV worthy.” – No it doesn’t. The undercard is crap so we’re not buying.

te tumbo – So, Canelo “picks” Angulo, a man who was face was just smashed by Lara….and Cotto is scared?? Hmm. Cotto is aiming HIGH (160lbs against the lineal champ) and Canelo is aiming LOW (Angulo)….what about fighting the guy who broke Angulo’s face?? Maybe?? No??

Posted January 10, 2014 1:23 pm

PPV?? Really?? No wonder Schaeffer came out of nowhere and said “these two don’t like each other, i don’t know where this rivalry is coming from, but they don’t like each other”….lame ass hype! LOL

Two guys coming off decisive losses fighting on PPV? Ummm… I am not paying for that. To make this fight/sport more laughable, if Floyd vacates his 154 lb. title, the WBC is considering making the winner the full WBC world champion. Hahaha – the networks, the promoters, the sanctioning bodies – boxing sucks.

Posted January 10, 2014 12:49 pm

I’m certainly not paying PPV money to see this fight!

Posted January 10, 2014 11:51 am

I don’t think Canelo would blow Cotto out. I actually favor Cotto over Canelo based on the fight against Floyd.

has anybody been able to pry Cotto’s nuts loose from PE’s liplock? he may have just cost Cotto a guaranteed (and final) $10 million payday(?!). otherwise, Cotto turned down Canelo’s challenge (Again) because he wants to avoid being bumrushed right out of Boxing, i.e., what “rivalry”>

Posted January 10, 2014 10:43 am

I think this would end up on regular showtime just as Bronner and Maidana did. I certainly would not pay to see it.

Posted January 10, 2014 10:31 am

these yanks would pay top dollar to watch tom and jerry on ppv. LOL.

Posted January 10, 2014 10:05 am

Again, don’t forget i told you…

Posted January 10, 2014 7:14 am

This an absolute one sided beating. Angulo is a one dimensional punching bag that will make Canelo look like a million dollars. This fight won’t go 8 rounds and maybe less than 4 rounds. Any knowledgeable boxing fan knows that toughness alone doesn’t get you anywhere in boxing. This is a joke of a fight. Angulo will get destroyed each and every round until the referee stops the beating. I’ll eat card board for a year if Angulo makes the distance. Hprrible fight.

Canelo doesn’t have neither the power nor the stamina to stop Angulo; if he hurts Angulo & goes for the kill throwing many punches, I predict he’ll be the one getting Knocked Out once he gets outta gas. If there’s a KO in this fight, it’ll be el perro the one causing it…

Posted January 10, 2014 2:17 am

PPV…LOL..where is Schaeffer going to find idiots to pay for this fight. LOL.

Posted January 10, 2014 12:49 am

Should be a good scrap. Canelo by late stoppage but angulo will test him!

Posted January 10, 2014 12:41 am

Yea boxtradamus I agree I think it will be action packed with canelos edge on skill making the difference but again this is boxing you never know

Posted January 9, 2014 11:20 pm

Angulo is coming straight from a nasty eye fracture to fight Canelo. Not the plan if you wanna stay long in the game, but I guess if a big fight gets offered the man had to take it. If the eye holds up and Angilo is in top shape he will test Canelo’s conditioning.

Still Canelo has to be favored over Angulo. Really He has the skill level to out class and bust Angulo up. But El Perro is always fun to watch.

I’m looking forward to this one. If I’m not mistaken, Canelo will be facing a true JMW who’ll be trying to knock his head off, for the first time… Canelo better, train hard, and smart…

Posted January 9, 2014 10:45 pm

Canelo by ENTERTAINING stoppage

Posted January 9, 2014 10:44 pm

Can’t wait to see the fight its going to be action packed! Not sure it should have been ppv but they usually stack the undercard pretty good!
