a couple of butt-hurt Ricans wondering where the “rivalry” went (lol). Btw, ever heard of a “bulemic” named Daniel Santos? showed up for at 172lbs for a 154lb title-bout v. Margarito and that was 10 years ago. how about a glove-loading cheater by the name of Cheato Trinidud? busted red-handed with illegal wraps, unable to make a single ding on Hopkins’ chin, followed by Three Pouty Unavenged Post-Loss Retirements (lol) . . . “Cannn-Tahhh y no Lloren”.

Morgen Dexter – they’re neither anorexic or balemic, they just know how to cheat with the weight.. just take a look at Chavez Jr. busted several times using Dieuretics to drop alot of water weight for the weighin then overnight put on 20+lbs.. Mickey Garcia and Canelo do it as well..

Not for nothing but a lot of these Mexican fighters are boxings Anorexic’s and Bulimics… Fight 1-2 weight classes below their natural size only to get the upper hand till they face guys their own size and some smaller who beat their a$$. All these guys with the so called “great beards” are fighting with huge height/weight advantages at time Honestly Antonia Margartita, Alfredo “Cara De Culo” Angulo, Mickey Garcia, Fool Cant-nelo Alvarez and the # 1 put fighting 2-3 divisions above his class is p-ssy Chavez Jr…. Marquez is one of the few who fight with fighters his size or bigger… The rest beat the system…

Mickey vs. Rocky is an easy fight for Mickey… Now Mickey vs. Danny… Please Danny would hurt Mickey…

Garcia needs to throw his teams advice into the trash can and move UP in weight. There’s NO reason to KILL yourself making weight when you have enough SKILL to move UP. I think he was 140 or SO on Fight night in his last Fight SO thats where he needs to be Fighting at. IF you pay attention to Boxing MOST of the GREATS don’t boil down and balloon UP. They keep their weights pretty steady year ROUND…..Stop listening to the SISSYFIED people around you Mikey and move UP. Superstardom awaits you. I personally rate you Top 5 in the ENTIRE Sport of Boxing. And MY ability to assess SKILL level is 2nd to NONE.

Making weight is a killer… I don’t know how boxers sometimes perform well after fainting 2 or 3 times trying to make weight, and being so weak they can’t talk coherently and can barely step on the scale at the weigh-in.

The worst I’ve seen was El Gato Gonzalez vs Guts Ishimatsu… Benny Georgino said, “After making weight, El Gato looked like a refugee from the Bataan Death March.”

El Gato was so weak he barely made it into the ring. He had the protection of an American referee in Larry Rosadilla—but he soon collapsed on the canvas. Instead of counting Gonzalez out, Rozadilla grabbed the downed Gonzalez, physically lifted him up, stood him up, and made him continue fighting. He felt it was his job to get Gonzalez the win at all costs.

Gonzalez said.., “Rozadilla should have counted me out… Instead he almost got me killed. He was trying to make a dead man fight.”

Garcia’s unexpected illness kept him out of the gym, which prevented him from making the final push to make the agreed-upon weight. Btw, Lopez has yet to fight a single bout at 130lbs. so there’s no evidence to indicate that he was dehydrated or otherwise weight-drained for his bout v. Garcia. besides, 126lbs, 130lbs, or 135lbs, Mikey was going to win anyway. there is simply no way he wouldn’t at least be able to replicate Salido’s previous winS.

Well JuanMa wasn’t going to beat Garcia but I see what you are saying. I didn’t realize that is how it went down. Well JuanMa got a good chunk of change for it. Not that that made it right. But he also wanted to fight for the title too

PEEJ – but here’s the issue. JuanMa clearly stated early on he couldn’t make 126lbs but the Garcia camp demanded it be at 126lbs so JuanMa agreed and killed himself to make 126lbs then Mickey shows up well over 130lbs?? fight night and at the weighin? It’s the old switcheroo move.. we’ll see how Mickey does with guys his true size and weight.. instead of a weight drained fighter like JuanMa..

Well Mikey did seem to try and make the weight. In the 2 days of Mikey he was throwing up, couldn’t keep anything down and was dizzy. So it is not like he didn’t try to make the weight.

Funny they don’t mention that Mikey Garcia did not make weight and came in over 130lbs.. while they forced JuanMa to go down to 126lbs.. Cheating at its finest.

looking forward to this fight myself. Taking Garcia by late stoppage

I like both fighters. going with the skinny puerto rican with this one though. I expect a great fight but sometimes the fav goes up against a style and gets beat on points.
