dwc, I agree it would be great and long over due,Barker for me,he hasn’t been tested as much like you said, but I just think he’s the better boxer of the four.

Anon…I agree he will never be a Hagler in the div.But he should have had a world belt with the Strum fight…ashame he got ripped-off.

Would like to add…Macklin..Murray..Barker…and even Lee would make a nice little dust-up between the 4…would be fun…

Yes I was referring to barker and Murry in particular for definate, probably 50/50 with Lee or even Saunders.Maklin is a game and tough guy but don’t think he will ever be a world beater.

junior…Barker I dont belive has been tested as much as Macklin and Murray has looked good in his last couple of fights. But Macklin looked better against Strum then Murray, and yes Murray did better overall against Sergo M. but I dont belive that was the same Sergio Macklin faced. And dosent Saunders fight at supermiddle? And Saunders can look like the real deal at times but again hasnt faced the real top guys yet.And Lee I agree would crack down the road with Macklins pressure.Right now Im not so sure anybody in the UK would beat Macklin at middle…

Anon…Who do you thinks beats Macklin in the UK ? I feel you might be thinking…Barker..Murray..maybe Lee?

It will be a miracle if matt go’s 4,the US tv paymasters are feeding the limited maklin to GGG in the knowing he be game while it lasts with no real risk, maklin isn’t the best in the UK never mind at world leval.

B-RED….Yes junior is right if Macklin is C- then Strum must be D plus.Macklin without a doubt should have had Stums belt and he fought a great fight against Sergio M. a guy many rank very very high overall.Macklin is a world class fighter and you dont reach that level by being only average.

hookoffjab…Okay….when I seen smashed I thought you meant Macklin was getting cracked left and right from the get go…with no hope. But yes I agree even if Macklin pulls it out he will know hes been in a fight GGG can bang…

Mismatch fight. Macklin is a C- level fighter

Macklin is a very solid performer…Though Sturms lost his legs and so has Marriville judging by his last outing .I didnt say Mack would lose this fight i just stated that he is going to get smashed !!!!! win lose or draw ….

Never seen GGG fight. Is he the truth? or another hype job? Whats up?

Posted May 28, 2013 8:13 pm

Woop Woop

More GGG smoke and mirrors. Macklin is coming off an injury. Macklin has had a long lay off (12 months +). Macklin made a name for himself by being KO’ed by Martinez. GGG keeps ducking the other title holders. The guys who actually won their title by beating the champion at that time. GGG was given a title and continues to name drop without putting up any real negotiation efforts to make these match ups. All aboard the hype train. Chooooo Choooooo.

Squared-Circle (a.k.a. LionKing)

Remember: Mack dropped Maravilla in the 7th and was leading on the cards before it was stopped in the 11th. And he clearly outboxed Sturm, so is top 5 MW in the world. However, he is coming off an injury/surgery with a long layoff, so would be wise to take 1 or 2 tune-up fights. I RESPECT Mack because he has balls of steel, ducks no one, and truly wants to fight the very best. Can’t say the same about Duckweather, so that “O” only means so much. Real talk.

hookoffjab….Maybe, but alot of people thought he would get beaten bad by Sergio M. and lose clear cut like to Strum(and Macklin got ripped-off in the Strum fight)so again there could be a surprise element here..maybe.And I do think GGG is the real deal…but hasnt been tested greatly yet.Dont get me wrong I wont bet on Macklin and Macklin has a bad style for GGG it plays into his hands. But without GGG being greatly tested and going into a fight that could be a war there could be a ray of hope for Macklin….it is a fight I cant wait to see overall….

dwc… ..Macklin is going to get smashed !!!

Posted May 28, 2013 5:38 pm

Macklin is coming off a pretty long lay-off plus surgery,he should have had a tune-up fight. But Macklin is a tough fighter and if he has his best fight he just might surprise people with a victory here.
