Tumbo is extremely biased…. Golovkin would kill Chavez Jr.

Golovkin smashed the hype known as proksa. Lots of respect to proksa for getting right back up after he got flattened.

you guys are dreaming! You actually think the fighters are going to fight Golovkin? After this Promoters are going to do everything in there power to not have there fighters fight him!

There going to run for the hills!

I find it interesting that prior to the Andy Lee fight everyone mocked Chavez, now post-Andy Lee and suddenly everyone has Chavez as a middleweight kingpin. Not saying Chavez isn’t good/hasn’t improved, but wow, what a turnaround! I wonder what these same folks would say if they knew Golovkin beat Andy Lee (not to mention Dirrell and Bute) in the amateurs?

Either Martinez or Chavez Jr. will give GGG problems and his first loss — although doubt neither would KO him because GGG is a tough puncher and savvy mover but he would be shut out practically.

You’re crazy. Expect to see the big names soon start ducking and making excuses for why they can’t fight Golovkin.

The Kingslayer

Kirkland, Molina, Lara and Canelo are Jr Middleweights.

te tumbo

Golovkin appeared strong but beatable. Canelo or Kirkland would be great tests for him with the edge going to both of these fighters. in fact, why not Lara or Molina? IMO, Golovkin is NOT ready for primetime just yet. making progress but not quite there yet. Btw, win or lose v. Martinez, Chavez Jr. will K’imTFO.

The Kingslayer

It was a good performance but I wasn’t blown away.

Not quite sure what PhD was listening to. Jones and Kellerman were pretty much on the same page last night. K and J watch tapes and talk before the bout, and a lot of their conversation sounds like the result of their “pre-interview” preparation.

BoxingFanatic, where you at?!? Come eat your crow!! What happened to Proksa? Where’s that “smart money” you bet on him? Bwahahaha!!! Loser!!

Posted September 2, 2012 9:14 am

Seriously! Can’t wait to see this dude fight again. Proska had an awkward style and appeared to be loose & comfortable before Golovkin caught him with some frighteningly accurate power shots. Yet another reason to root for Martinez over Chavez Jr. Would love to see Triple G vs. Martinez.

Still would like to see Golovkin-Sturm before Golovkin goes for Chavez, Pirog and Martinez

Posted September 2, 2012 8:14 am

Roy’s commentary/explanation regarding Golovkin’s balance was excellent. I remember saying out loud, “Nice job Roy”. It was insightful and informative.

Martinez still has to get past J.C.Chavez yet. However there’s plenty of good fights out there for Golovkin @ 160LB. The WBA have ordered him & Daniel Geale to get it on hopefully in Australia before the years out. Then bring Dmitry Pirog, Peter Quillin, Darren Barker & Martin Murray into the equation & there should be some cracking contest for him over the next year or so.

 What’s the betting the WBA sanction Sturm vs Proska for there interim ordanary title :?:

My prediction of Proskas end before the 7th turned out bang on, I knew he would destroy him unlike many others who said what a close fight it would be, hhmmm.

Marvelous Hagler is the toughest and strongest middleweight ever

GGG oh baby welcome to North America
This guy was quite impressive tonite against a pretty tough opponent.
Would love to see him in there with any of the top middleweights.
Don’t want to see him moving up to supermiddleweight too soon as middleweight is full of great fights.
Martinez vs Golovkin anyone?

Posted September 2, 2012 2:58 am

Golovkin is the physically toughest and strongest middleweight since Carlos Monzon.. Max Kellerman kept pointing out what he thought were Golovkin’s stance and balance flaws, and Roy Jones kept saying, “Nope.. He doesn’t do that. He keeps his balance perfectly centered” leaving Kellerman with egg on his face. Before the fight Roy said, “Golovkin is the real thing.” He’s pretty excited about this guy …. The scoring in the co-feature was disgraceful.. The fight was poorly fought, but Gonzalez won easily.

GGG vs geale and then the winner fights either Martinez or Chavez jr.
