Hi Limey Jay & TARK. Cheers for the replies. I would just like to say that when I said possibly the worst heavyweight champions I was trying to open a debate on who the worst heavweight champ has been, although TARK i Think you are right with Bennt! I was merely stating that Haye has yet to have beaten a top heavyweight

Limey, I am not a Haye hater, I quite like Haye as he possibly the most exciting heavyweight out there currently fighting! I just think he needs to fight some genuinely decent opposition. The heavyweights he has beaten are not.

who is typing haye by points? my god you seriously dont know boxing. nobody comes close and never has to outpointing a klitschKO. it will never happen in their entire careers and for obvious reasons. nobody has ever gotten remotely close to outpointing them. that kind of hypothetical fight forecast is ingorant. nobody IN THE HISTORY OF THE SPORT WOULD BE FAVORED TO OUTPOINT A KLITSCHKO. do you seriously not know that?

medlar, put down the crack pipe.

Guy is a bum. Had his chance and punked all night. No need to even hear about this loser anymore.

Haye is such a silly clown.. Completely outclassed by Wlad. What planet does this idiot live on….

Posted March 29, 2013 6:38 pm

personally I think haye would beat klit on points or a late stoppage, reason being styles make fights, haye vs vlad was boring because vlad is safety conscious. Vitali is not. Haye fights best when counter punching, vitali would want to try to punish haye, therefore attacking mor, leaving himself wide open to a counter from haye, who has the speed to do this and also I believe the power to stun vitali, which will make vitali have to change stratergy during the fight.

Posted March 29, 2013 11:27 am

Vitaly has declined but he’s still a beast and he would still hit haye and with many of the shots like the shovel hook, haye wouldn’t see. Vitalys very awkward styl is amazing. Vitaly could possibly still beat haye even at this point and if he did it would be sheer amazing. At 42 beating haye. Its just more goat material for the heavyweight goat

Posted March 29, 2013 11:27 am

Well saying vitaly is ducking haye is as valid as saying haye is ducking char at this juncture

Posted March 29, 2013 11:24 am

Gareth Scott

Doc I couldn’t agree with you more. Wlad would wipe the floor with Vitali these days, I don’t know how Hecubus can’t see Vitali’s decline, it’s pretty obvious, he’s fading in every single way, just because he’s a bit taller than Wlad doesn’t mean he’s harder to hit, he does exchange more thus meaning he’d be open to counters and he doesn’t have half the athleticism that Wlad does, he’s a slow old man who doesn’t seem to have a huge amount of pop on his punches anymore in my opinion.

Posted March 29, 2013 10:27 am

If Haye fights Charr, id be disapointed. I was hoping for an opponent in the top 10.

Posted March 29, 2013 10:23 am

lol give over Bears ….. no one ducks Charr, he is just not worth the effot. He shouldnt even be in the top 25 heavyweights.

Posted March 29, 2013 10:22 am

Hayes ducking charr

People wont give Haye any credit no matter what he does. They say they are talking to five top ranked opponents, none of whom are British, and four are undefeated. So that’s; Alexander Povetkin, Robert Helenius, Kubrat Pulev?? Who else is on the list? Solis? Chagaev? Adamek? I want to see Haye against Adamek and then Povetkin. Haye and Tomasz were the two best cruisers not to have faced each other and Povetkin needs to have a proper fight soon before people forget him altogether.

Posted March 29, 2013 8:10 am

So this guy goes from retirement, “not interested in anyonebesides the Klitschkos” to reapplying for a licence and talking to fight two top ranked guys not named Klitschko …? What a change of attitude. Haye must have parked most of his money in the Laika bank in Cyprus. Only plausible explanantion for me

Posted March 29, 2013 6:14 am

Being forced to earn his rank and shot. Respect to the Klits. It’s humble pie and you earn your place at the table like everyone else.

Posted March 28, 2013 11:31 pm

I wish Haye would go away. Bunch of bark with no bite

Posted March 28, 2013 9:37 pm

Haye is a real big talker, I was expecting him to really test Wald, I gave him a 50/50 chance in that fight. He had the speed and power to do what Sanders did to Wald, but he did absolutely noting. He had his chance and he didn’t take it, now he wants another. Well sorry, there are other contenders, who at least will come to fight.

Posted March 28, 2013 8:59 pm

Ya Niel I would like to see Adamek vs Haye also, or Povetkin. Adamek would give Haye a lot of trouble so Haye will not sign him. Haye will probably go with Holyfield.

Posted March 28, 2013 8:57 pm

Limeyjay. Best post yet with insight towards boxing – when most of the posters here must be new to boxing or blinded by hate…..

Posted March 28, 2013 8:46 pm

Haye is just a physique with a big mouth — all talk, no action against the Klitschkos — he just took the money and ran, literally.

Posted March 28, 2013 8:32 pm

hecubus – Wlad and Vitali are very different fighters. Wlad’s safety-first approach, coupled with Haye’s counter-punching style make for a boring fight 8 out of 10 times. That having been said Vitali has no problem opening up and throwing punches with less fear of retaliation (unlike Wlad who holds everytime an opponent gets close). Am I saying that Haye would blast Vitali away?… not necessarily. But to assume that Haye would struggle against Vitali because he struggled against Wlad is a mistake. Why do you think that Vitali had to avenge Wlad’s losses against Purrity and Sanders? Why did Wlad have to avenge Vitali’s loss against Byrd?…. Two different styles + two different fighters.

Posted March 28, 2013 5:46 pm

He was on his knees 12 freaking times in Wlad’s fight. 12 times! I guess when he sees mighty Klitschko all he can do is fall to his knees , face to crutch… who needs to see that again.

Posted March 28, 2013 4:56 pm

gareth – you must watch boxing with your head up hayes ass. Haye couldnt do jack against wlad, what makes you think hed do any better against vitali, whos bigger, tougher and has a better chin…..whos knocked out almost everyone hes faced. Unless Vitali gets old overnight, Haye is toast against VK.

Posted March 28, 2013 4:54 pm

Yes Davie boy, back to the drawing board. Get back in line mofo. Should have taken fights when offered. I will lagh my arse off if he gets KO-d trying to get back into challenger position.

Posted March 28, 2013 4:53 pm

Still hoping it is Ademek.

Posted March 28, 2013 4:39 pm

Im a big Haye fan – great to see him back & taking the correct route! Banks in Cyprus might have been the final nudge he needed eh???

Posted March 28, 2013 4:34 pm

Fight Aficionado

Hayes’s opponent will be announced in the near future. He will be a stumbling drunk. Bring on Vitali next!

Posted March 28, 2013 3:41 pm

You must watch boxing with your eyes closed if you think Vitali would ruin Haye, he looks like a crippled old man these days, he was dying against Chisora in those latter rounds.

mma fighter

guerreor got arrested today

Posted March 28, 2013 2:16 pm

i like how Haye always makes it seem like the klitchkos are running scared from him. VK would pummel David Haye into quitting on his stool. Haye’s had numerous opportunites to fight the Klitchkos and turned most of them down. The one fight against Wlad he did take, he ran for his life and did absolutely nothing in that fight and then blamed it on his toe. Although i dont think he deserves another payday against VK, Id love to see him get destroyed and permanetly retired by VK…..if nothing else itd be a great way for VK to end his career

Posted March 28, 2013 1:57 pm

HA!!!! Lamont Peterson has failed another drug-test. Kick the f++ker out of the sport. Oh it feels good for the fullness of time to prove me right. The guy is a serial cheat.

Posted March 28, 2013 1:52 pm

mr gav

I’m glad to see haye back but think he needs a big win before he can call out klitckows would love to see him fight fury in an all British affair oops furys represents Ireland and not the country he born and raised in so Britain vs Ireland then still think haye in one round

Posted March 28, 2013 1:51 pm

.. and Europe is not a country

Posted March 28, 2013 1:45 pm

Yeah, I was hoping at least one of the fighters would of made it exciting, lol. Sadly is was yet another boring K-brother fight ;)

Posted March 28, 2013 1:39 pm

stuck in a moment

Haye is the worst. His performance against wlad can never be forgotten. And he tricked the entire country of Europe into thinking he would make it exciting.

Posted March 28, 2013 1:37 pm

Bonte did say “fight chisora and the winner fights Vitali” …. he said that in front of the worlds media. I dont blame vitali … that just hate Bonte. The guy is a tit. The K-brothers deserve a better manager.

Unbiased Dane

Tark : I havnt heard about this Bentt. I will check him out.
Another weak champion was also Bruce Seldon.

Posted March 28, 2013 12:40 pm

“Whether the Klitschkos fight me after that, we’ll see.” – HAHAHA. As if the KBros are afraid. Haye, it’s your showing or lack thereof in the Wlad fight that makes you a waste of time. Plus, it’s not like you earned a another fight with the KBros and so why reward bad behavior with a big payday. Somebody shove some Hay in that big mouth of his and shut him up.

Posted March 28, 2013 12:29 pm

I think they should force Povetkin to fight him. That’s if Haye is still the wba #1 contender.

Posted March 28, 2013 12:21 pm

Pulev is dangerous.

Posted March 28, 2013 12:21 pm

I would love to see Haye vs Pulev… Those are the 2 best contenders out there.

Posted March 28, 2013 12:19 pm

Yeah, Bentt was in a coma for a while after that and in danger of losing his life. I didn’t consider the wbo as a real championship back then. I still wish everyone would ignore them.

Posted March 28, 2013 12:15 pm

Wouldn’t say_Maccarinelli,Thompson,mormeck and Chisora were easy…….I would say piss easy.

Posted March 28, 2013 12:14 pm

@Onionbhaji84…. You posted, “Ruiz & Valuev are possibly the worst heavyweight champions in history.” Not so fast. The worst heavyweight champ by far was Michael Bentt. Bentt was 10-1 when he knocked out cheese-chinned Tommy Morrison to win his title. Bentt was a disgraceful cherry-picked challenger by Morrison, because he beat the worst bums you never heard of and was outrageously undeserving of a title shot. At least Ruiz and Valuev were plausible challengers when they won their titles.

I laughed my ass off when Bentt signed to fight challenger Herbie Hide. Although Vitali Klitschko flattened Hide in two rounds to win his first of 3 world titles, Hide was 1000 times as skilled as Bentt. The desperate biting and chomping Bentt did on Hide’s shoulder was precious to watch. Bentt wanted to win so bad he was crying, and he didn’t have a chance in the world. Hide gave Bentt a terrific beating and ended his short career.

Posted March 28, 2013 12:11 pm

If Haye fights Pulev, I will be surprised and will have my crow with ketchup, please. More likely he’ll be going for Solis, Charr, Arreola, maybe Povetkin. But he will stay away from high risk fights like vs. Pulev.

Posted March 28, 2013 12:10 pm

the dude

Manuell Charr or Adamek in June

and then Fury in October

Then Summer 2014 Vitali or if retired Pulev for the WBC crown

Then Wladimir rematch

Posted March 28, 2013 12:08 pm

haye vs the formidable TBA!

Posted March 28, 2013 11:38 am

Garath of corse he will win in June he’s supposed to,two bums then he can cry the klits are avoiding him, look at his whole career its all he has ever done easy all the way to a big pay day the bloke and his whole team are morons.

Posted March 28, 2013 11:35 am

Limey jay

People need to get real…..I get that there’s no love for mr haye, I myself am not too fond of the bloke, but he is a great athlete and a decent fighter with K.O power.
I had no problem with him hyping himself up prior to the wlad fight, It got him in the ring, it’s a shame he didn,t seize the moment and go out on his shield, not his style I guess.
He lost a boring fight to wlad , no shame in that, he followed a well trodden path of the others before him, but vitali is a different beast altogether, it is a winnable fight for David….I know others will disagree, but I believe mr haye would beat this vitali right now.
Derek chisora took up boxing after watching hatton dethrone Kostya tszu……yeah I know , not that long ago, he had no amateur experience, and had only 17 fights before fighting vitali, compare that to vit, who must have had 100 or more fights as amateur and pro.that fight shoul not have even been made, but it was and chisora gave vitali a scrap for sure.
He put up a good show that night, had that have been haye in there with vitali, then I reckon haye would have took the belt, vitali was sluggish and clumsy.
Does David haye deserve a crack at vitali? Probably not….should he fight one or two fights at the weight before he gets a crack….yah definately….will it happen …I doubt it , I can’t see that vitali wants any part of haye right now, or inthe future.
Too many people slag off haye, and belittle his skills, some even have too call Ruiz, valuev the worst ever heavyweight champs , to validate their hate for haye…..that’s just silly.
I,m glad haye is getting back in the ring, I hope he gets someone like, arreola, wilder, in there with him, there’s plenty of fights to be made, ad I will look on with interest.

Posted March 28, 2013 11:31 am

the voice of reason

good to see haye walking the walk at last. Will be very interesting to see how he gets on against the top contenders – if indeed thats who he goes for. plenty of nasty characters out there to give him a real rumble.

Posted March 28, 2013 10:53 am

Easy Gareth! Haye is an athlete that for sure, he has excellent reflexes and he can certainlly punch. However he, in my opinion has not proven himself at heavyweight, his victories have been against Bonin, Harrison, Ruiz & Valuev. Ruiz & Valuev are possibly the worst heavyweight champions in history, Bonin poor & Harrison not only has a suspect chin but a history of freezing in important fights. I think he has to fight the top contenders before a statement like that can be made.

Haye also has suspect stamina so anytime he goes above 6-8 rounds without putting them away I start to worry for him! Also against Kitchko & Mormeck he was completely out-boxed (although he got out of jail against Mormeck due to his power). I like Haye & love the interest he generates but after the Kitchko bout I think he needs to prove himself all over… The win against Chisora only confirmed what we already know – He has power & speed. let’s see him against Pulev & Povetkin.

Posted March 28, 2013 10:32 am

This Brit couldn’t care less about Haye. He’s a loudmouth tit. I hope he gets his ass KO’ed in June.

Posted March 28, 2013 10:26 am

Gareth Scott

Anyone who thinks Haye is a “bum” clearly doesn’t know anything about boxing, he’s a gifted athlete with pound for pound punching power, he would beat Vitali and whoever he fights on June 29th he’ll finish within’ 6 rounds.

Posted March 28, 2013 10:16 am

top hat

For someone you americans seem to hate your always on here posting about him. How strange ha ha

Posted March 28, 2013 9:59 am

Please let it be Ademek … he is tailor made for Haye to knockout.

Posted March 28, 2013 9:51 am

Why would Haye be in anyone’s plans he’s not relevant in the division, just a big mouthed idiot can’t even wait to find a bum aponant before having a presser to talk another load of his usual rubbish go away Haye no one Ceres about you,you clown.

Posted March 28, 2013 9:34 am

Poor David Haye, no Vitali Klitschko to KO him. Poor, sad dude! He might as well fight Audley Harrison in a 10-round thrilla.

Posted March 28, 2013 9:29 am

Klitz bros. are the kings of the heavyweight division, it’s a fact. No Haye

Haye is just talk but i can’t see nothing special in him to beat Klitzchko

Posted March 28, 2013 9:25 am

Yeah, I guess there is more than one contender out there.

Posted March 28, 2013 9:09 am

Dan D

I can say that I was one person that thought David was gonna do something at Heavyweight. He did something, just nowhere near enough. He was outsized, out jabbed and out worked by Wlad Klitschko and then he seemed to let the wheels fall off. 2 years later and David has fought only Chisora in that time. In this game, you cant sit around waiting for a payday, you have to go out there and earn it. Adamek, Solis, Thompson or Fury could’ve given him a way back, and some decent paydays in that time. Some say that Haye likes to talk himself into a payday and, although I wish I could say the opposite, I have to agree that they are right. Vitali cant be bothered. Yes maybe Haye could take him out but Vitali doesnt want to know. He wont give Haye the $$$. Haye should fight Adamek or perhaps Huck at Heavyweight in Germany or London for decent money and then look to have a go at Povetkin.

Posted March 28, 2013 9:07 am

Sick to death of this bum’s constant bemoaning of all things Klitschko. As Vitali has already stated, he offered Haye a shot at his crown, but David took the Chisora fight instead. Now he’s ready, the Klitschko’s are supposed to drop everything and accommodate him? Get real DH. Take a few fights beforehand, against the likes of Fury, Pulev, Povetkin, Helenius or even Price, and then you are in a position to open that big gob of yours again, demanding a title showdown. But before then, take your turn, biatch!!
