Valenzuela: Ridiculous but painful reality in many of life’s situations such as when one is made to believe the “four” that the “machine” or “rule” is telling him to be the exact right number when it is clear as crystal to be “eight” at close range, before his very naked eyes. This happens during election time and in court cases where the losing candidates “win” and the innocent is punished while the guilty is relieved.
Computers generate figures which are only as accurate as the qualified data encoded and as credibly reliable as the application system that was put in place by certain “technical” people. Machines can be humanly influenced every which way they can be externally and extensively manipulated at the whim of their masters. Thus computers can only be as credible and effective as the integrity of those who operate or have access to them.
Above all, reason and eyewitness.
Whatever numbers or statistics the CompuBox has generated to tell us who won in the recent fight between Manny Pacquiao and Juan Manuel Marquez last November 12, it doesn’t make sense if the numbers don’t agree with correct “applied mathematics” wherein the four or five senses are well in control and in superintendence, analyzing computer reports which don’t have brain.
How foolish indeed to sing “Silent night” when the accompanying music is “O Holy Night.”
It is interesting that common sense is so uncommon to “experts” and “well-educated.” And it is foreboding that they almost always seem to miss the mark. When scores and statistics would tell otherwise what eyes could see in full view and what common sense dictates, only the disillusioned, mentally incapacitated or blind-folded are inclined to be persuaded by what others are insisting out of bias and because of the “machine.”

Gunn Puts Bareknuckle Title On Line December 1 In Philadelphia
Team Gunn announced today that bareknuckle heavyweight champion of the world Bobby “The Celtic Warrior” Gunn will fight Ernest Jackson on December 1 in Philadelphia. This will be Gunn’s first title defense since beating Richard Stewart in Arizona this summer. Jackson is a former bodyguard and a well-known bareknuckle fighter, but Gunn expects to make easy work of the younger fighter.
“Ernest Jackson came to me and challenged me for my title,” said Bobby Gunn. “This is a business where money talks and he brought the money to the table and the intent to fight. He will be a good tune-up fight in preparation for my fight with James Quinn in February.”
Gunn is a former IBA world cruiserweight champion and a bareknuckle fighter with an unblemished record of 65-0. He has established himself as a legendary bareknuckle fighter, and upon having the chance to fight for the vacant world title, he jumped on the opportunity.
“I left boxing because of the corruption and politics surrounding the sport,” said Gunn. “Bareknuckle fighting has been a part of my life since I was a kid, and I believe the sport will take off and become as mainstream as gloved boxing and MMA. With the reemergence of bareknuckle fighting, we have a chance to start with a fresh slate and make it a clean sport from the beginning.”
Since his fight in August Gunn has remained active as he patiently waited for an offer to come across. As discussions with Tank Abbott’s team fell through, Gunn became anxious to get back to business.
“I’m a fighter, and I been itching to get back in there,” said Gunn. “From what I have heard Jackson is a good fighter and a tough kid and I’m happy to give him a shot.”
Team Gunn stated that although the fight will not be televised live, it will be available online immediately following the bout.

North Bergen, NJ (November 14, 2011) – The first installment of “Tommy Gallagher Boxing: Winners Have Scars,” presented by Rich Komissar Promotions in association with Thomas Gallagher Productions, which was scheduled for this Thursday at Schuetzen Park in North Bergen, NJ, has been postponed due to an injury to a featured fighter on the show. A makeup date will be announced shortly.
“We are very disappointed by this turn of events as the venue had been sold out heading into the weekend, but we look forward to quickly rescheduling the show,” said Rich Komissar.
Melson’s Next Bout Moved to December 17
New York, NY (November 14, 2011) – Do to unforeseen circumstances, junior middleweight Boyd “Rainmaker” Melson’s bout scheduled for Thursday evening is cancelled.
Melson, 6-0 (3 KO’s), was slated to fight at North Bergen, NJ’s Schuetzen Park, but will now be fighting December 17 on the Andre Ward-Carl Froch undercard at Atlantic City’s Boardwalk Hall.
“I’m disappointed that I won’t be fighting because I am in great shape and won’t have another check to donate to help the Clinical Trial,” said Melson, an Army Reserve Captain and 2008 Olympic Alternate selection. “I was looking forward to fighting close to home, but at the same time, I’m excited to be on another big card in Atlantic City.”

The full card has been announced for Hitz Boxing’s triumphant return of the “Thanksgiving Eve Belvedere Bash”, on Wednesday, November 23, at the posh Belvedere Banquet in Elk Grove, Illinois.
In the night’s potentially sensational main event, former world title challenger Johnny Lewus (25-4-1, 21 KOs) will face Saint Paul, Minnesota’s Allen “The American Boy” Litzau (13-6, 7 KOs) in a guaranteed-all-action eight-round lightweight battle.
