Warren Makes Offer For Khan To Face Brook

Frank Warren has made a multi-million dollar offer to Amir Khan to face his young star Kell Brook.

Sheffield sensation Brook is hot from his two-round destruction of Philip Kotey and has lined himself up for a shot at the WBO World Welterweight title next year, but wants a fight with Khan first..

WBA World Light-Welterweight Champion Khan defeated Marco Maidana in Las Vegas in one of the fights of the year and wants to fight in Britain again next year.

A clash between the two would be a massive all-British affair.

Warren said, “Kell looked fantastic against Kotey and proved he is ready for the best in the world.

Khan was in a hard, but exciting fight against Maidana, and if he’s serious about fighting in Britain next then a fight against Kell would be a logical fight to take.

“There is talk of him facing Floyd Mayweather which is nonsense and he should take up the big offer I’ve made to him to take on Kell.

“It’s a huge fight for the British public and one that they would want to see.”

Brook has set himself a target for 2011 to become the best welterweight in the world.

He wants to keep busy and test himself against the world’s elite, starting with Khan.

“Khan’s a great fighter and proved himself against Maidana, but I know I can beat him.”

“There is no doubting that he has plenty of fighting heart after digging deep to beat Maidana and proving himself to be a true warrior.

“I’d love to get it on with him next year, Frank’s made him the offer and I hope he accepts it so we can find out who is the best.

“Of course there is Mayweather and Manny Pacquiao in the division as well and I’d like to face them at some point.

“People will say don’t run before you can walk, but no one has seen the best of me yet.

“I’ve got two or three gears to go up at least, and I just want an opponent who will bring out what I’ve been producing in the gym.”
