Ray Narh promises knock-out win over Lozada

By Prince Dornu-Leiku – Ghana’s Ray Narh has pledged to stop Michael Lozada when the duo meet for the vacant WBC USNBC lightweight title this Saturday on the undercard of Bernard Hopkins vrs Roy Jones Jr epic at the Mandalay Bay Resort & Casino, Las Vegas, Nevada, United States.

“I am ready and excited because I will put up a good show. Yes I will knock him out,” stated Sydney 2000 Olympian Narh who has won 20 of his 23 career victories by the short distance..

A strong Christian, the 31 year old Ghanaian popularly called the Emperor says the significance and symbolism of fighting at Easter cannot be underestimated. “It’s a big blessing from God and it tells me what God will do for me that day. God will not just give us a win but give us a knock out win,” Ray Narh said.

Safe in the knowledge of the rich experience of Mexican opponent Lozada (34-6-1, 27 KOs), Ray Narh says he has prepared extensively for Saturday night’s big fight.

He has also debunked any fears that he may be underrating the 26 year old Lozada. “I know my preparation and I know what I can do going into this fight. So over confidence is not in my way,” The Emperor added.

Saturday’s fight will be the former Commonwealth gold medalist and Olympian’s first of this year and since beating Marteze Logan last August in what was also his first fight in nearly two years.

Narh has vowed to become Ghana’s next world boxing champion and hopes a good performance against Lozada can only be the beginning of good things to come. “I can do it through Christ which strengthens me, Philippians 4:13.

“I have the power the speed and the ability to destroy these guys so I don’t fear what will be put on the table. I am ready for them,” The Emperor has stated.
