Paul Williams vs Winky Wright and Chris Arreola vs Jameel McCline on HBO tonight

Tonight, Paul Williams vs Winky Wright and Chris Arreola vs Jameel McCline will air on HBO at 10pm ET/7pm PT in what should be an exciting night of boxing. In addition to tonight’s fights, there’s a great deal of anticipation in what’s coming up in the not too distant future.

Next week, on April 17th, Yuriorkis Gamboa will put his undefeated record on the line in his first bid for a world title against veteran Jose Rojas for the WBA Interim Featherweight Title.. On April 24th, former two-division champion Cory Spinks takes on Deandre Latimore for the vacant IBF junior middleweight title, with undefeated prospect Devon Alexander on the undercard against an opponent who has yet to be named. The following night, former middleweight champion Jermain Taylor will challenge Carl Froch for his WBC super middleweight championship. Also on the 25th, WBO junior featherweight champion Juan Lopez will face WBO bantamweight champion Gerry Penalosa for Penalosa’s bantamweight title.

On May 1st, WBC junior middleweight champion Vernon Forrest will return to the ring against Jason Le Houllier on the same card as Luis Carlos Abregu who faces Irving Garcia in a welterweight clash. On May 2nd, in the most anticipated fight of the year, Manny Pacquaio and Ricky Hatton will fight in a battle for pound-for-pound supremacy. On May 9th, Chad Dawson defends his IBF and IBO light heavyweight titles against Antonio Tarver for their highly anticipated rematch. On May 16th, undefeated Olympic gold medalist Andre Ward takes on the ever dangerous Edision Miranda in what should prove to be an exciting fight at 168 pounds.

On June 13th, in a great match-up, Miguel Cotto and Joshua Clottey will fight for the IBF and WBO welterweight titles. On June 20th, Wladamir Klitschko will defend his IBF, WBO, and IBO titles against David Haye in one of the most anticipated heavyweight fights in recent years. And the following week, on June 27th, WBC and WBO middleweight champion Kelly Pavlik will defend his titles against “Contender” star and former junior middleweight champion Sergio Mora.

The excitement starts tonight with Paul Williams vs Winky Wright and Chris Arreola vs Jameel McCline. Williams and Wright square off in an important middleweight fight, where the winner is certain to be in a deserving position to challenge for one of the titles at 160 pounds. And when Arreola and McCline get into the ring, fans will see if Arreola can make the next step in his bid to fight for one of the heavyweight titles.
