Silverhawk signs Mexican Warriors Bojorquez & Reynoso

LAS VEGAS (January 24, 2007) – Silverhawk Championship Boxing announced today that it has signed a pair of Mexican warriors, former world title challenger Carlos “El Elegante” Bojorquez and welterweight prospect Jose “El Nino” Reynoso, to promotional contracts. Both were born in Mexico and now fight out of Mira Loma, California..

Bojorquez (26-9-6, 22 KOs), a well tested junior middleweight-middleweight, has beaten Hall of Fame bound and former undisputed world champion Pernell “Sweet Pea” Whitaker as well as Grady Brewer, winner of The Contender Season 2, during his nine-year pro career.

Reynoso (7-1, 1 KO), two-time California Golden Gloves champion, is a slick, 22-year-old southpaw.

“Carlos and Jose signed with Silverhawk because they believe their new promoter can take them where they want to go,” Borjorquez and Reynoso’s manager Charlie Perez said. “Carlos has beaten all of the B+ fighters but he always got last minute calls to fight top fighters like Verno Phillips and Kassim Ouma. Borjorquez still has a good shot at beating some top guys and, with a couple of good wins, Silverhawk can get him a big fight. Jose’s goal is to be a world champion. Unless a good promoter backs a fighter, he can’t move-up quickly in the rankings. Now he has that good promoter in Silverhawk.”

Silverhawk Boxing’s growing stable of world-caliber fighters also includes two-time world lightweight champion Stevie “Lil’ But Bad” Johnston, WBC Americas & CABOFE cruiserweight champ Prince Badi “The Boxing Prince” Ajamu, IBF International cruiserweight champ William “KO King” Guthrie, NBA World & CABOFE heavyweight champion Sherman “The Caribbean Tank” Williams, USBO heavyweight title-holder Leo “Paco” Nolan, NBA super middleweight champ Rubin “Hollywood” Williams, IBO International middleweight champion Aaron “Homicide” Mitchell, NBA Intercontinental junior middleweight title-holder Eric “Murder” Mitchell, WBF All-American cruiserweight champion

BJ “El Peligroso” Flores, heavyweight Cedric “Bos” Boswell, former world title challenger Corey “Primetime” Johnson, former WBO junior welterweight title challenger Manual “Shotgun” Gomez, ex-NABF super featherweight title-holder Fernando “El Pillo” Trejo, heavyweights Gerald “The Jedi” Nobles and Robert “The Saint” Davis, as well as top prospects such as cruiserweight Brandon “The Havoc” Harris, welterweight Alexis Camacho, light heavyweight Shane “The Irish Hitman” Benfield, cruiserweight Josh Green, super featherweight Jaime “Super Fly” Sandoval, and light middleweight “Classy” Chris Gray.
